Tax revenue will keep pouring into the treasury and the interest on the debt will continue to be paid. So I'm not sure what you are arguing here.

As a man that can literally die in an hour without food.
I can't imagine people choosing to cut wic from babies, kids and the elderly on ss for any reason.
I'm a 52yr old severe brittle diabetic. It's so unpredictable I wear an insulin pump and a cgm to real time monitor my blood sugars to prevent a sudden and deadly sugar crash.
Just last night I crashed without notice or reason and had nothing to recover with because my EBT goes so fast with today's prices I can even protect my life properly because I can't afford fast recovery items like juices and fast acting snacks.
Even living hour to hour depending on this, I would still feed the children before myself.
I guess it's a good thing I live alone so I don't have to make that choice. I'd rather die than let kids suffer from hunger and bad nutrition.
I just pray daily that God finds a way to keep me with at least something to recover my sugars with.
They have denied my disability for no reason, even though multiple doctors plus an employment specialist deemed me unemployable do to liability. I have zero feeling in my feet and a neroligical disorder that makes me stumble and fall regularly...
With all this, the system ignores me and lets me struggle to survive every day by my self.
Even with all this, I feel guilty getting food stamps.

I can think of a place to find millions of money: cut congressional and cabinet salaries. Those responsible for economic decisions affecting the entire nation should be the LAST salaries paid, esp. when faced with debt crisis such as this. Each Senator to be paid the average salary of the state they represent, and Representatives paid the average of their district, and the President paid the average of the nation. If that's not enough money for you to get the job done, then resign. If that's not enough money for you to get the job done, please explain and justify your worth above the amount. $174,000 is almost exactly 4 times the average income in the district I live in, Michigan 3rd district, represented by (D) Hillary Scholten (a district just recently gerrymandered to ensure a Democrat wins when historically it was won by Republicans.)
They should have to clock in so we can see their hours just like everyone else. These meetings are half-full all the time.

In 1821 maybe, but with 535 members, having them all in one place for these meetings is an awfully high expectation. Just cut their pay, down to the level of the people they represent. If that's not enough to get the job done, they're welcome to find a different job. Also, I'm currently in communication with the office of Rep (D) Scholten about a constitutional amendment capping/pegging congressional salaries to annual averages in every district. I expect she will do nothing to voice my idea and when that happens, you'll see my name in the news. 535 handwritten letters will get a lot of attention.
