I thought him cancelling the show had to do with 'him working more than 80 hours a week and exhausting himself'(his own words) and his contract with CBS? I can't find anything that would indicate that the ratings going south, let alone that my comparison was against one of the most successful comedy shows of all time.

If anyone thinks that Dane Cook is funny, try watching his video while facing the wall opposite the wall to the TV. He really isn't that funny. He just struts around and strikes poses while telling jokes.
No the jokes are fantastic, it's just Americans will laugh at anything like it is the most hillarious joke they have ever heard and their canned laughter on tv shows is way over used, there is so much canned laughter on the big band theory it is sometimes unbearable.
