When I grew up there were NO law inforcement officers (little gods). We only had peace keeping officers. This was a wonderful time.

I’m born & raised in Sullivan County, NY and would love to know the exact part of the county...oddly enough there was a sighting near the Villa Roma Resort earlier this year. Hope I don’t run into one when deer hunting myself, i’ld like to continue loving the outdoors ! Great story..
From what he described it was north of Sullivan county. Would it be Delaware county? Nothing wrong with asking. I will say, he took a little longer than I expected to get back to me. But I really do appreciate his father’s encounter.
Delaware County is N of Sullivan & where I do most of my hunting. Very familiar with the whole area...would love to know if you ever find out.

They are all over the Catskills and Adirondacks and the Berkshires. Creatures like that inhabit mainly those types of areas away from man. It doesn't surprise me that someone was it's dinner. I don't think some of them know any better like the ones that are more around humans. Creepy though.

Well it sure took a lot of my time and I think it was worth it. I don’t know why anyone would make something like this up. Maybe you’re not convinced that Bigfoot has a taste for flesh? After all ,they are a wild animal.
@@BigfootsWilderness I got no reason to think it's not true I don't like to argue with people that don't and yes I believe these beings eat flesh just like a tiger when it gets the taste for human flesh you got to kill it!
That’s a good point. In a case like this I almost wished he’d killed it. But if you can avoid a confrontation hopefully you save your own.

Wow great story I believe this story 100% way too many people have seen these sometimes hideous looking creatures in the middle of nowhere for them not to be- in-fact I'll go one step further I am a "Native Tracker Hunter" I've been through-out more "Woods- Forests- LBL's- Scrub- Brush- Bushlands and around the bottom of Mountains than I can remember" -My people have been fully aware of the "Forest & Woods Peoples" and have so for centuries long before the hype of today- we are WARNED: from an early age not to go wondering in the woods alone especially at night and to obey these commands vigorously/seriously- by our old people- they didn't say why because you never asked questions and were told to understand what had been spoken to us -with that we never wandered anywhere and really didn't need too however as we got older we would go with our fathers or an uncle on our first hunting excursion/s during daylight hours and boy was that fun (taught how to track read and navigate our way through and around the forests) as time went by getting older and way more experienced then we could go hunting anytime Night or Day and camp in the Deep Woods process our kills- hang the meat up cook and eat dinner then bed down for the night wasn't a problem although I've never had a near close up encounter nor has one entered our camp (that I know of) (our kill was still hanging in the morning) but I have seen many of their foot prints and them way in the distance (freeze back track quietly but hastily- exit the immediate area- go somewhere else or go home) and heard all the Monstrous shrieking- roars-screeching- screams chirping type sounds they make whilst camped in the middle of the night far off in the distance- They are sometimes Hostile to Humans (very probable- potential people killers & eaters) While others appear to be harmless but are very curious -while still others like no contact with any Humans at all and would rather be private out of sight- They are Sentient Creatures they Possess a Sophisticated Higher Level of Consciousness -are Telepathic they can Draw on Natural Phenomenon to them Like Mist to Cloak themselves as Cover or Ambush when Hunting- or Otherwise Un-natural (paranormal) They know when a Human has entered their Home Grounds and will go investigate that person to see if they maybe a Threat and or otherwise- I Posses the Knowledge Of the FIRE-POWER with Specialized AMMO Required to Kill One Out-right but Would never ever Harm a Piece of Fluff on One as "My People Have High Respect" for them and simply say they should be avoided at all times to live their lives how they always have long before Ancient Peoples- Natives & Celtic Clansmen came into Contact with them way before the Hype of today- I know they have seen me in the Forests and Woods Hunting and No I'm of No Threat as I am Only there for one Reason to Kill or Trap Game/fish Camp process my catches Sleep -wake-up have Breakfast Clean-up all Mess (out of respect for nature) De-camp and Leave- Meanwhile Stay Safe & Well Wherever You Are & Go Thank you Sir for the Up-load it was an interesting and very Believe-able Story indeed- Oh Btw I've Subscribed * Kia ora Ya ta say [O'siyo wago wado] -Ya at eeh- A'ho

@@BigfootsWilderness Oh, no, I meant that I thought the point of the story was that it was fiction, not that someone tried to fool you/us! So someone submitted this as a true story? I can't say whether it's true or not because the human-eating this seems crazy. But I know there's room for them here. I know Upstate NY well. I've barely scratched the surface of it, but everytime I hike in 4-5 miles off the beat path to begin with, I "discover" more forests they could easily hide in plain sight, and then realize that there are more and more forests no one has ever heard of or even knows exist up there.
