It's hard to tell if Explora really is as successful as they would like us all to believe. Their first ship has almost never sailed with its full complement of over 900 passengers and that would be the real test. Despite the fact that these ultra luxury ships are much smaller than MSCs known fleet, Explora's itineraries are nothing special. When I sailed on the Explora 1 just recently, a lot of passengers who'd signed on for another leg to their journey, were already regretting that choice - as they'd been bored on the many sea days and (even though the food and service is excellent) the menu is always the same. Explora may have the potential to be a huge success, but to break into this already saturated market, they will need to evolve and adapt quickly. On one last note, have you noticed that 99% of all videos about Explora are made by paid travel agents or are interviews with people working for the company ?
