Man i played this a few times back in my childhood and completely forgot the name or the console where i played on but the music and the character movement stayed in the bottom of my brain for like 18 years and finally got it!
@@mudjaigameshow Also, it seems that all the animation is faster in relation to everything else, like one universal value controls it all and they took the simplest route when porting the game. Most of the enemies look fine, but the main character's walk cycle becomes silly at this speed. Also, the effect animations' frames go by too fast.
@@Steambull1 I think the Problem here is that it is a game from pal regions ported to ntsc, so it runs faster as intended. The pal version does look more "normal". It is a shame that so often they did not manage to get it right. Netherless, i do not like the game :D
I remember when I played this game in my childhood. It's one of the hardest games I've played ever for sure! Of course, I didn't have half of your skills :( The sounds and soundtrack are amazingly good
I'm watching from Indonesia, I remember playing this decades ago, 1996's. I finished it and my mother said mount Olympus and I saw the word olympus for the second time. I playing with SEGA
The intro music is even better than the Genesis'. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the rest of the tracks. Anyway, it is unfortunate that both are faster than the original PC's/computers' original games. I tried to slow the game on Genesis but the best I could do was changing the region on a US rom to PAL from NTSC on an emulator. I also noticed that some secrets can't be accessed on them like on PC's (IBM and Amiga) like the floating platform in the top-left corner in the first world.
Originally it was an Amiga release, not a PC release. I know younger people now call every old computer "PC" but PC stands for "IBM PC Compatible". @@TheLambdaTeam
It's a terrible conversion. None of the atmosphere of the Amiga version. It moves way too fast, the music and sounds are awful, it's one of the rare games that doesn't benefit from having in game music. It's like a hyperactive cartoon remake of a slow, methodical atmospheric original.
I respect and honor your opinion, but I disagree for the SNES version. I think the faster conversion and ingame music was great. I couldn't handle the slower versions.
I have no idea why this game was so popular. It's a rather basic 8bit platformer with janky gameplay even for 1990 standards. Probably the same as with the absolute garbage that was Shadow of the Beast - graphics.
Use to play this with my dad. Miss him Rip Keith 😢

Same here!
Ohh wooow many days and nights with my dad w hammered this
One of the hardest snes games ever😮
I totally agree! I took a lot of time to defeat the last boss when I was child, but watching him doing it makes me feel like a baby lol
The SNES version moves a lot faster than the original Amiga/Atari versions.
but awfuller song / graphics

@mudjaigameshow - I loved it! Either way...absolutely an all time classic. I'm 43 years old and still occasionally play it with the ZNES mod.

Such a great game. Many fond memories playing this but could never beat it
I played this game on my Amiga back in the early 1990, it was...
GOD-AWESOME 🐱👍.

No, You're absolutely right, Jarrod.
it is "Into the wonderful." 😺👍
God bless you dude. Game from my childhood. I checked to see if it’s here.
Just watched the whole thing and this game is pretty cool

Thanks for the upload, loved this game growing up. Didn’t know what was about all I knew was it was so hard to play beat it
Esse jogo poderia ter para Playstation de modo remasterizado. Muito bom!
nice music

este juego lo jugué en PC hace años creo que tenia12 años y lo jugué en mi Windows 98 creo
Considering the Amiga version, the SNES version should have been called "Supergods" or "Turbogods".
Very..Very Hard Game

What an odd game. It is also obvious that the developers were not used to consoles.
Originally it was a PC-release, so what you see is a port

Este lo conocía solo en Génesis es difícil
You passed up the extra lives in the shop. For shame
I still remember a passoers... MGB. Miller God bitches, to remember it lol
I already don't like that they can't do the intro music right...
The gameplay seems faster compared to Genesis, but it sounds a lot worse.
Weird music for a SNES game.
The shittiest game I played on SEGA 😁
This is a lazy port , the original amiga version is much better
Very strange drums in the intro tune, not a great port at all (lacks of color for a SNES game) and nothing can match the Amiga version imho! :-]

That's one generic plateformer... Shout out to the beautiful ending cutscene consisting of the worlds "game completed". Don't spoil us so much game.

Probably because of the bangin soundtrack and the protag's unique design.
This. The game isn’t really good. But I loved it 🤣
I loved it. Very challenging and soundtrack was great.
