I still got a good amount of weapons to take a look at. Plus once I run out of things to talk about we can always take a look at the other fallout games. Or games like it.
I once tried to take down a giant radscorpion with this thing and it took ages to drain his health lol. I eventually switched to a grenade launcher and finished him off. I think the laser pistol can certainly be useful in the early game to take down lesser enemies like geckos and brahmin and those convicts at Primm but when it comes to the stronger enemies it really falls flat.
Apparently the giant radscorpions have the same damage threshold as a sentry bot so a low damage weapon like the laser pistol isn't going to do much. About the only thing that worked for me at low levels was a shotgun with slugs or the Cowboy Repeater with Handloader perk ammo (JFP if memory serves). Even with AP ammo the Service Rifle couldn't do the job as well.
Fun Fact the lost laser pistol is the only laser pistol without GRA that has Iron sights since it can aim down sights Also since quest items aren’t removable when you go to dead money if you steal the Van Graff armor in teh box next to Simon while still doing Birds of a feather & go to Dead money you’ll immediately have access to combat Armor
Arming Arcade Gannon with the compliance regulator while you do the heavy lifting with a gun or beam would be a sound use of its features. Every other companion I'd rather use offensively.
Do not arm arcade with the regulator unless you want him to needlessly burn it's ammo. He uses it like a regular pistol. It's better to use the regulator yourself and then hotkey your other killing weapons
In fairness I've never played an energy weapons character into the end game so I may be biased on the subject but you really have to specialize your character to make them work and, even when you get all the right perks, ballistics guns are still just better all around. The laser pistol, while not totally useless, is something you'll drop fairly early while, with a ballistics build, the Varmint Rifle and Cowboy Repeater can stay relevant well into the mid game.
Pretty good gun. I Usually buy one from Chet in Good springs then never use the damn thing lol. I really missed this laser pistol in Fallout 4. I liked the redesign of most weapons but this laser pistol looked and felt better in my opinion.
Pew Pew is absolutely nutty on an energy weapons crit build. The 2.5x crit chance will have you hitting crits nearly every time if you have laser commander, finesse, the 1st Recon Beret, and all the other crit boosting things. It’s also nice on hard core mode if you have too much weight and just need to burn some energy cells.
Yeah Pew Pew is a worthy replacement for the Alien Blaster on non-Wild Wasteland playthroughs if you take Finesse, Laser Commander and Better Criticals and load it with Max Charge Energy Cells.
I always try and grab either The Compliance Regulator or Pew-Pew when doing a Energy weapon run. The regular or GRA laser pistols are only just ok in my estimation unless you get Laser Commander and Meltdown. I also think that at times the Laser Pistol can be really buggy and have a ton of times when it seems to do no damage when hitting in vats even on unarmored enemies.
Pew Pew uses 5 ammo per shot but also hits 5x stronger, which is excelent for stealth opening shot, armored enemies and feels amazing using max energy cells against Brotherhood of Steel patrols (in that one mod where they actually patrol the Mojave, Living Wasteland or something), because by the time I gather the 50 star caps I usually have enough weapon repair kits or caps that repairing Pew Pew is not an issue.
The laser pistol is a fave of mine, idk even why, I just think it's neat; Even on non energy weapon builds, I get tempted to stash one in my inventory just because it's so handy and versatile
I am new to NV and I am somewhat in despair...I am hard modding the game and I tried out a laser pistol and realized that it does not really have that Right click Zoom + Ironsights mode like other weapons...basically rendering it unusable in right clicking in first person, because it does not even show a crosshair. My point it: Is a mod destroying the "Ironsights mode" or is this standard...because I see him aiming and getting ironsights, but I am not sure if this is a mod. I hope you guys can help me.
this thing sux ass since the dmg is so low that you need like a dozen shots to kill each powder ganger attacking goodsprings on very hard. hell, you need like 5 shots to kill a bark scorpion in the goodsprings cemetary.
My vote for the sniper rifles! I almost always end up using Christine's CoS rifle on every stealth playthrough
Yes. Try the Gobi for a change.
Sure that can be the next rifle that we look at.
Every time I think you may run out of topics for New Vegas content, you come back with another banger lmao

@@ReapeeRonfallout 4 next ? Even tho it has less overall weapons

Radscorpions have high energy resistance
The service rifle with AP rounds totally saved my life against giant radscorpions.

6:25 and that’s why meltdown is one of my favorite perks of all time
Pew pew is basically just the double barrel shotgun of energy weapons.
Makes me want to replay again after just doing a full melee build and go for energy weapons
That will probably be pretty strong. They are a lot of good options for you.

@@clarencewalters338 not to mention that Arcade has the highest DPS of any companion with his plasma defender
@@HK-pq7pe and that's just Base Arcade, you could give him an upgraded plas defender or keep him stocked with your finest energy weapons
The Compliance Regulator is literally on the same tier as the Riot Shotgun in terms of trivializing the game

Huh. I’ve never actually encountered the Compliance regulator. Thought I knew every weapon but I’m mistaken.
Could we see the Gatling laser/Sprtel-Wood 9700 next?
your vid on the smmg has me hankering for one on the k-9000 and its "upgrade" FIDO!
That will be the next big gun that I look at.

Fighting the centaurs, your radiation was so high that it was making me nervous
Yeah I was trying to get some rads for Rad Child.
@ReapeeRon ok I understand. I was wondering why you let your rads get that high.

Its good on crappy mobs and isn't totally bad on max charge ammo because compacity
Can you add the tesla cannon to the list
Sure.
The story being the reward is the funniest shit as well lol Should have rated the story on your list too!
That is true.
1:45 I can hear your computer's screams! lol
I would also like to see a video on the multiplas rifle

Nice video! Some people love Pew Pew, I sort of think it's a bit meh. Definitely A tier for me.
Fair enough!
Laser guns are great for critical hit builds
Yes they are, they are very strong.
Once you complete this series on fnv please do it again with f3 I'm interested in the Lazer pistol on that one because there's 3-4 unique variants 😮

All laser pistol are really good. But for combat fully modded laser pistol is enough to carry past mid game. Can i vote for carabine?
Tri beam laser rifle!!
That's a cool one!
Day 1 of asking for a tier list of characters you can have segs with
I hate it when Ron fights 10x centaurs 😩😭

Its too ugly to use
