If either Skinny Pete or Badger were on that team, Lalo would have died.

Lalo, death by Helicopter.

Or maybe Uncle Jack’s gang, the Aryan Brotherhood.
Season 4 finale: Jimmy shoots finger guns at Kim, leaving her feeling emotionally distant.
Season 5 finale: Kim shoots finger guns at Jimmy, leaving him feeling emotionally distant.
_Bang bang, baby._
It reminds me of loki where he meets variants of himself and then he realizes what a douche he is
I never caught onto to this until you and Brandon mentioned it. Nice.
According to some interviews, “fun” Lalo is gone for good now. Next season, angry Lalo is all that there is. And I’m terrified for Nacho, his dad, and Kim
“It wasn’t me it was Ignacio!” “Wait, Lalo didn’t send you?” I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited about anything than to find out the origins behind that throwaway line in BB.
@@dante2037 I am most curious as to why Saul believes that Lalo is alive, but Gus and the Salamancas believe he is not.
@@dmidkif I'm even more interested in how Saul breaks up with Kim but also is in such a good mood in BB season 2. Also Kim being ok with his sketchy lawyer business?
@@dmidkif because there is still one more season to go
@@Japie__ true, she just changes all of a sudden
Kim’s transformation is one of those things that puts the whole series into perspective. It feels natural and really tragic that she’s going off the deep end. Cannot wait for season 6.
She’s becoming Gisele
And Kim feels deep down that Howard treated her like shit in the first few seasons, so there is some resentment
I feel sad for Howard... I have a feeling he will commit suicide or something as a result of what Kim is planning.
@@demarek I highly doubt they'll do another suicide. I actually feel Howard will be the one to send Kim down.
@@Jack-ci3do Maybe Kim will try to take down Howard but will he will win and expose her. Leaving her without a job and nothing. (just trying to think of reasons she isnt still with Jimmy in BB 😂)
This episode actually made me sympathize with Lalo. After what Kim said, he decided to place his trust in Nacho, only to be betrayed.
It’s crazy how you find yourself rooting for all the characters at the same time even if they’re going against each other
You can see how much everyone wanted Nacho to escape and then afterwards everyone wanted Lalo to survive the assassination, only to hope Nacho manages to survive Lalo’s vengeance
How the writers make you understand and sympathize with every character at the same time is truely oustanding.. this is what makes this show so good but also difficult to watch simultaneously.
@@davidkodsy90 exactly!!!
This makes me scared for Kim in Season 6.
Considering what Saul said in BB about "didn't Lalo send you", Kim slowly breaking bad, and that Lalo followed Kim's advice only to be betrayed, there's a high chance he's gonna kill her in Season 6.
In many ways, Lalo is the most terrifying Salamanca. He has Hector's ruthlessness, the Twins' skill with violence, and Tuco's unpredictability, plus a charisma greater than all of them combined. Really looking forward to seeing him go off in season 6.
I had the exact same thought, he's a perfect terrifying mix of all of them
Great observation, and I honestly don't know what is going to happen in the final season, but based on how Lalo looked in that last scene and how in Breaking Bad when Walt and Jessie capture Saul/Jimmy and he says "It wasn't me it was Ignacio he's the one." and "Lalo didn't send you" and he is extremely relieved that they weren't from Lalo, then I imagine that in season 6, Lalo is going to do something pretty f'd up and it's going to mentally scar Jimmy. That's my guess, but who knows.
Lalo has Saul's charisma like Gus had Walt's brains.
And he's probably also the smartest out of all of them
Just him being charismatic since being introduced to him..leaves me in suspense..cuz I finally see his angry face.
BCS is a show about the breaking bad of Jimmy, Mike, and Kim. Kim was the last domino to fall. Slippin Kimmy.
And it looks like she's the one who pays the price for it!
@@nunka34ify Oh 100% I thought from day 1 that Kim ends up in jail and that explains her absence in BB.
Started watching from the breaking bad pilot reaction it's been a crazy journey!
Thanks for coming along for the ride!
same man. never realized how long it's already been.
20:39 poor Yolanda got killed while trying to escape, that pissed Lalo off even more. Nacho, *RUN*
And rightfully so. "The best in their business" my ass, these assassins sucked. They had no plan, extreme and unnecessary casualties, and they compromised Nacho's position along with that. Everything about this was exremely risky, and it didn't pay off.
@@holysecret2 Yeah, what dollar-tree bin did Gus get these "Assassins" out of? They only had four guns, never covered each other's backs, didn't even know what a gunshot was when one of their guy's get's popped, they killed civilians, weren't even rocking suppressors. Yeah, I know that suppressors don't really keep it quiet, but still--for supposed badass assassins, they were _Really_ sloppy.
They really only sent _one guy_ to corner Lalo in the kitchen, and didn't even have him wait until he got a clean shot to drop him? Not to mention WHERE'S THE TRIGGER DISCIPLINE? This guy gets hit in the face by hot oil and is spraying full auto unsuppressed inside? I can understand a reflexive twitch, but C'mon? They didn't even stop shooting when they broke LOS with lalo WTF?
Ugh. I'm gonna stop there before I change my opinion on this great episode ruined by stupid people.
kinda feel bad for Lalo, he opened up and took Nacho to his home and showed him his people, just to be betrayed like that
he also murders innocent people
Yeah gus is more ruthless in BCS, and poor nacho got no choice either
I’m not sure that paints the correct picture. Nacho was more or less forced to come.
@@narafaiz7658 , Gus may be ruthless, but he’s not as smart as he believes.
I think Gus is actually even more ruthless in this than he is in BB. The shot of Nacho looking at the gate followed by the line to Lalo, “I’d rather get some shut eye” is brilliant on all levels. He delivers it so honestly, and it’s such an amazing piece of visual writing. And yeah man that ending with Lalo shooting the gun in the tunnel is kind of the highlight of the season for me, what an amazing sequence. Also, it’s so fun that it’s gonna be Kim vs. Howard in the final season, those two have so much bad blood and history, all bets are off.
Gus will be as ruthless as he needs to be to get what he wants dealing with cartel you can't show any weakness. With Walter he knew how to manipulate him to get what he wanted, money . When that stopped working he showed his evil side.
Gus may be ruthless, but he’s not as smart as he thinks he is.
You are absolutely correct. That it should be more popular and talked about than other shows right now. It is kind of a shame that its not. Greatness deserves mass recognition.
Kim isn’t turning into a female version of Jimmy she’s just becoming a truer version of herself. Kim doing the finger guns is such a good callback to Jimmy at the end of season 4 when he becomes Saul and hits her with the finger guns. Kim is such a complex character I can’t wait to see where she ends up in season 6
slippin kimmy
It’s like he didn’t even watch the episode LMFAO
Gus must have got his highly skilled men from the same place where Palpatine got his best troops.
dark science... cloning... secrets only Los Pollos Hermanos knew...
@@luancervantes6124 I meant they were both really bad at their jobs haha
Most people probably thought it is just a generic prequell for a goofy sidecharacter and didn't give it a try. That is the only thing I can think of, why it isn't as popular is it deserves to be.
honestly thats what I always thought and never gave it a shot til now. holy shit I regret not getting into it sooner
Don’t worry about how popular you think that things should be. Just watch what you like. And get excited for the final season. It doesn’t matter how many other people like what excites you.
Season 6 is gonna be amazing, I’m imagining a crazy fight scene with Nacho and Lalo.
We were so worried fretting about the possible physical death of Kim that we completely failed to consider her moral death. And thus the fine line has been crossed.
I like the difference in the way Gus is lighted in BCS v BB. He’s brightly lit most of the time in BB because he spent so much time around square citizens, but in BCS, he’s always darkly lit like a monster emerging from the shadows
Yeah it's great how while they didn't do anything that fundamentally changed his character or was unexpected, you can see how he has yet to become what he is in BrB. He's less patient, less businesslike and is far from in control, instead he has to fight an uphill battle with everything he's got. Despite obviously looking older, Giancarlo really does move and emote like a younger man in BCS.
@@disappointedoptimist255 I wonder if working with Mike smoothed his rough edges
With this episode ending the way it does, I can only imagine next season will be about the descent of Kim. And perhaps contrary to what we would have thought going into this show, it’s Kim who pushes Jimmy away due to her actions, and not the other way round. Only time will tell, but I’m super hyped to find out.
We always thought BCS is about the fall of Jimmy. It might be the fall of Kim.
I am holding out hope that Gene will be waiting outside of a federal penitentiary in Nebraska when Kim walks out...
My guess had been that Kim becomes a lawyer for the Cartel or something like thag
Kim might go so far to the darkside, she will either die or go to jail forever. There has to be an explanation why saul never mentions or contacts her again
Can't believe we're at the end of the BrBa universe up to now with Brandon. I found Brandon right when he started with BrBa. It's been a wild ride, and I can't wait for to enjoy BCS Season 6 here with everyone. Edit: Brandon, I dig the new background. Good atmosphere and vibes.
I know everyone is crying out for an appearance by Walter and Jesse in season six, but I'd much rather see Badger, Combo and Skinny Pete turn up 😄
Honestly, I don't think they will ever appear, especially after all this time (and I don't really want to see them appearing in the show)
Skinny Pete and Tuco share a cell block at some point. Have faith.
As I understand it, at this point we are still four years away from the beginning of Breaking Bad, so I can't see any logical way where Walter especially would fit into the timeline, and I actually hope he isn't shoehorned in just for the sake of fan service.
@@stevemccullagh36 if he would be in the show for the sake of fanservice, they would've put him in it a long time ago, that didn't happen though
@@stevemccullagh36 I thought Tuco was getting out of jail in 10 months from where it left off at the end of Season 5? Which means it’s closer to the Breaking Bad story since Tuco appears in Breaking Bad shortly after he gets out of prison.
That transition between Lalo firing the assault rifle down the tunnel and Jimmy washing his face is genius. Jimmy is still traumatized by what he saw in the desert, and so the abrupt cut between the firing of the gun and him washing his face paints a picture of what's probably going on in his tortured mind.
I wouldnt say genius.
He witnessed gunfire a couple of days before, so showing gunfire and then him is the natural thing to do if you want to do a cool transition
Further proof that Seahorn is a genius.
I think Kim is telling us how everyone underestimates her and how Jimmy is bad for her. But, she keeps telling, then showing us, she might be the bad influence.
It's all in her statement from the job interview, when she said she wanted "more."
I always saw it as Kim was a version of slipping Jimmy but is a better liar than him and therefore has been able to cover it up for years
Yep. Kim is Lady Macbeth....
Ironically jimmy is perfect for her
I don't think Jimmy transformed Kim in any major way. She was never principled in the way Chuck was; her concern was the consequences of actions, not their inherent rightness/wrongness. If anything, I think Jimmy just exposed her to more and more extreme situations where she made her own unmanipulated decisions.
That's an interesting point of view.
This is the right way of seeing things. Kim has never claimed to be a good person. Every single time she has shown disappoinment in Jimmy it's because of his stupid mistakes and even thoughts, not because of his immoral and criminal choices. This is why she doesn't leave him after everything he has done and will continue to do. The time she almost did leave him it was because she hated being made a fool of, she hated being made the sucker (possibly even feared for Jimmy deep down). I like to think Kim genuinely loves who Jimmy is for the same reasons Chuck hated him. She admires his showmanship and delivery and charm. You could see it a couple of times throughout the show. One is in the episode where Jimmy pretends to help the guy who was taking down the billboard (she smiles when he's on TV playing the news crews being the hero), one when she sees Jimmy as Saul Goodman making a commerical for commercials (she was stunned in a good way), the last I can recall is when she sees him in the courtroom in season 5 when pulling the trick where the defendant was in the back of the courtroom (she also smiles here as she watches him work his magic). There is something deep-rooted in Kim that won't let her let go of him. It might seem twisted, and people may get confused and think Jimmy is the only bad guy here, but that would be wrong. Their relationship is so damn interesting when you pick it apart.... Personally, and bear in mind that this is my headcanon. I feel Kim's reasonings go back to her past. Something tells me we didn't get a flashback to Kim's father and only her alcoholic mother picking her up late as fuck for a reason. Because Kim's dad was probably not in the picture. Perhaps because Kim's father was also a guy like Jimmy. Opportunistic, electric, sociopathic, and easygoing. Perhaps she took after her father in being sly herself, and even ended up falling for a guy like him in a very Freudian way. Just my opinion. You guys can let me know if you think I might be on to something with this last bit haha. Love this fucking show. It's so good.
@@Jimmy9298 I agree with all of this. I see Kim as encouraging Jimmy and in the final season going full on Lady Macbeth.
Lalo is so cool. I'm so happy he's still alive for the next season
This show delivers on taking a beloved lead female character that started off so good and gradually step by step turning to the dark side, so much so when it finally happens, it felt earned and built up well.
Another more popular show that shall remain nameless completely failed at the same concept
A year well spent. Got into Brandon's channel after being recommended Breaking Bad Season 1 finale. Watching every single reaction video and being introduced to Its Always Sunny has been the highlight of my year
Mr. Robot needs to be the next show you start after Ozark and Barry!
I'd dare to say, this is even better than BrBa imo. It's a slow burner, and it burns in such an interesting and amazing way. Can't wait to watch season six and your reactions to it; hurts to know it's gonna take some time, but I know it's worth it
@@KillbotSw some people say “BrBa”. stop being so naive that you think your way is the only way.
The actor playing Lalo is amazing. The way he was able to scare the living shit out of me with a friendly smile, because somehow you know that anger and violence is just under the surface. The last scene of this episode was the payoff for that, I'm absolutely terrified what he's going to do now lol
I've gotten in trouble before for saying that I like "Better Call Saul" more than "Breaking Bad." The show is so beloved in general that people don't appreciate the slightest criticism, even if it's stated as a totally subjective opinion and includes no actual criticism of "Breaking Bad."
Honestly dude it's not really even close, in my opinion. Looking back and having rewatched both multiple times, BB feels like a warm-up for BCS to me.
It's like they are doing every single thing better. Search on RUclips about the color theories in BB, then do the same for BCS and you won't find ANY for the latter. Yet they're doing the same things here except it's sooooo much better and usually more subtle than just what color clothes the characters are wearing. That's one of my favorite things about this show. They really use that to paint subtext that people feel subconsciously but barely ever notice. (Kim is blue, btw, and Jimmy is bright yellow / orange - like his goldfish avatar)
Anyway I could straight up go on and on and on about this show. It's a masterpiece. If they only keep getting better in 2022... Jesus, how will any TV ever eclipse that?
@@seankessel3867 Agree 100%
While I personally like Breaking Bad more than Better Call Saul I can totally understand if someone thinks Better Call Saul is superior. Both are phenomenal shows and we'll probably have to wait many years to find their equal.
As a diehard Breaking Bad fan, I can wholeheartedly say that Better Call Saul is a more impressive show. The writing is more intricately woven, the cinematography is far more impressive, and it just feels more carefully crafted than Breaking Bad did. I’ll be the first to admit, I found it kind of boring in season one. Now I look back and wonder what the hell I was even thinking. I guess I just wasn’t ready for this type of show. I can’t believe how layered this show is. Absolutely can not wait for season six.
Better Call Saul is amazing and clearly shows how the writers and everyone have improved since Breaking Bad but I still don't like it as much. I'm fine with slow paced shows but BCS is way to slow for me. I still watch it and enjoy it but it isn't exactly what I wanted from the show and hey that's fine. I just wanted more Saul than more Jimmy is all and waiting 5 seasons to get a small glimpse of him isn't exactly what I wanted.
The writing is amazing, characters are on a whole different level and the directing is better then even. Excited for season 6.
I can't believe that you're done with all of BCS up to season 6
I really afraid of Kim´s plans against Howard, specially becauese we don´t ear about him and HHM in Breaking Bad.
Bruh why would we
He probably loses it all causing kim to regret her decisions causing a rift between her and jimmy.
With how the wrapped up Breaking Bad I can't help but be extremely excited to see how they do it with Saul. What a cliffhanger!! And it's been years in-between S05 and S06 so they really made sure to keep us excited aha.
Welcome to the club of people who count the seconds until they FINALLY get their next Better Call Saul fix. Season 6 can't come soon enough.
in the begin of the season Kims ponytail is all styled up. The longer the season goes on the ponytail gets more and more straighten out and less stylish. Just like her
I like how in the episode's ending a thunderstorm can be heard brewing
Been saying it for awhile now: KIM is alive and well and much more involved with saul during breaking bad they just never showed her. It makes the moment saul left and went off the grid so much more to it. He left Kim his wife, his partner in crime abruptly out of no where. And now seeing how she handled Lalo and also Hamlin shows she is just like Saul and there’s nothing that would separate them.
The most amazing thing of BcS isn't that we saw Jimmy's transformation to Saul or this amazing war against Lalo but to see Kim "breaking bad" . I think that's the biggest twist of the show because she's so huge on Jimmy's life. I really don't think they kill her cuz by BB we know that Saul goes 100% with his sassines but now knowing about Kim it's impossible for Saul to be like that with her being dead
This episode has my favorite lighting and framing of the entire show, and honestly Breaking Bad. Just the final conversation between Jimmy and Kim alone is so jaw dropping.
Saul and Kim are at the same hotel that Walter and Skyler went to in Season 5, I think.

Wow, it’s been Quite a Ride huh. I know the series isn’t over yet, but I just wanted to say this now: Thank You Brandon. During this Pandemic you’ve really helped me through tough times. I’ve watched these videos for a year and maybe a bit more now. Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer; Daylight Savings. Heck I even celebrated Christmas Eve/Christmas watching your Breaking Bad videos. From Breaking Bad, to El Camino, to now Better Call Saul, you’ve continued to make these great reaction videos with insight to your thoughts on a particular scene or possible theories, all while making sure everything is as entertaining as possible. I’m gonna miss these reactions of the BrBa universe, and I just want to thank you. Keep up the amazing work.
They just started filming on the 28th of June so it’s going to be a while. The articles I’ve read say the final season is going to be the best in the BB universe and that it’s going to be more savage than ever. Welcome to the club tho man…. My mom asks when the show is coming back at least 2wice a week. 🤣 A show that I think you should react to that no one has on RUclips yet is AMC’s Preacher. It’s maybe a little too over the top for some people but it’s an amazing show that you don’t have to wait for because it’s already concluded.

I watched the series once by myself, and I'm glad my second time watching it (sort of) was with the man Brandon. Making good points that I didn't think of, I appreciate your experience Bro!!
Better call Saul is better than breaking bad I’m convinced, the tension and how you care about the characters can’t compare and it’s just FUCKING prequel guys like holy shit……from what I hear a couple of full length episodes are gonna be post breaking bad instead of tiny little bits through the seasons. The comedy, the cons, the Parallels, the relationships, the tension, the character development, and world building and casual references are so well done…. I think in last episode mike told Gus that “fear isn’t a great motivator” well it seems Gus learns this lessons when he Pampers Walter in breaking bad and convinces him to cook for him rather than make him. I love the parallels, it’s a very rewarding show to watch if you’re a fan of the Breaking Bad universe and it’s not like fan service, it’s just makes sense and it’s practical, how like how hank and Gomez were introduced….I love this show
Déjame adivinar, escuela publica? Breaking bad es mejor. Saludos desde Canadá pendejo.
Breaking bad improved from season to season, and I think BCS keeps on that development. So I might agree that quality-wise, BCS overall is slightly higher. But Breaking Bad's story and character interactions especially from seasons 3-5 were so good I doubt BCS will surpass that (though it comes close). Ultimately, both are extremely good and are way beyond 99% of the writing you find in other shows or films.
In Breaking Bad Saul said "Did Lalo send you?" when being capture by Jesse and Walt. So Lalo won't die or at least Saul wouldn't be aware of that...
I really love how the gravel crunching under lalos feet slowly morphed into thunder. Obviously a metaphor for his new found rage.
im gonna miss the better call saul + sunny days :(
Lalo is going to go absolutely ape shit and I am so excited.

Hey Brandon, discovered you this season 6 really enjoy your insights great stuff I watch all your season 6 videos and went back for this season 5 ep awesome great job!
Remember that French engineer who was initially brought in to assess building the super lab? He had bragged about designing the underground tunnel at the border and I read a theory that Gus didn't want to take a chance that he made this tunnel and might be a Salamanca mole. It's a reach but it's an interesting theory.
I don’t think Brandon realizes that mike would have sniped jimmy too during the lalo and Kim living room scene. If jimmy would have started telling the real story mike would have put him down. That’s why mike asked jimmy to put the phone down so he can hear the conversation.
The sound design at the end was amazing! made Lalo’s footsteps sound like thunder.
I’m hype for the wrath of Lalo

Your camera setup looks like a Dario Argento film! haha love it.

I’m so excited for season 6 it’s gonna be intense!!
“it wasn’t me it was Ignacio!” Breaking bad season 2 episode 8. I feel like because Saul thinks he was kidnapped by the cartel thinks he talking to Lalo meaning hes alive in the breaking bad universe! A great scene to rewatch
jimmy might not know about nachos death
But that sentence totally works with Nacho being dead... you can be dead AND guilty of something. Sadly for our nerves, this sentence doesn't prove anything about Nacho's fate 😫
And so the foundations are set up for Saul's words in the desert to Walt and Jesse.
"It wasn't me, it was Ignacio! Did Lalo send you?"
Well here we are the end of the season with my favorite reactee. Just wanted to say that it means alot watching this show, And eventually watching the final season with someone else. I used to watch this with another big fan of the show(my grandfather) whom unfortunately as of February is no longer with us and cannot watch the show right beside me with his wonderful spirit. Keep up the good work Brandon. Reactions may mean alot to certain individuals.👊
Linguistically speaking, wouldn't a "reactee" be the person or thing that is being reacted to? For comparison, an interviewer sets up and conducts the interview, and the interviewee is the one being interviewed
You are one of the best reactors on YT. Thank you for what you do here. I'm looking forward to watching your reactions to Ozark. Another smash show.
My guess is Kim's attempt to emulate Jimmy's style vs. Howard causes her downfall and she ends up in prison.
I hope so! If that would mean her lies about Howard would come to the surface and Howard's life is saved, I want her to face justice.
Man what a ride! Been here since early breaking bad days and it's sad to see it end!!! Love all the other content though! Keep it up 😌
highly trained assassins make a stupid move to ALL go down a tunnel that is left open for them like wtf lol

Im just in your intro but duuuuude im so pumped you're doing Ozark next. It's a great show to follow up this on and it'll be good to see your take. You said you're up to season 2 and I must say... season 3 is peak television - Enjoy
Ozark is such a great show! S3 was crazy!
Feel like the new setup is from a scene of 50 Shades of Grey lol
Season 6 can't come soon enough. Love your channel man✌
One thing I love about this show is as soon as Chuck is gone its a completely different show. Really shows you how this BB universe infests the show.
