No Commando? Lightforce? Forbidden Forest? Delta? Arkanoid? Ghosts'n'Goblins? IMpossible Mission?....

I’ve only played two of those. Forbidden Forest and Ghosts n Goblins. But I only played them recently when I was looking at spooky halloween games. Good fun though.

Commando and Forbidden Forest yes. Arkanoid was nothing special on C64 and Impossible Mission was way too hard for me to let me play long. I was playing it only to hear the synthetized voices when you start, similar to Ghostbusters. G'n'G was OK but I was playing it at the Arcades so the C64 version was for me not good.

I really appreciate that these aren’t the same games “everyone” recommends.
My personal favourites are Winter Games (the other “Games” games by Epyx are also good, but that one is my favourite), Barbarian, International Karate, Bubble Bobble and Great Giana Sisters.
Somewhat predictable but then I didn’t have a C64 of my own.
I remember liking a pinball game called Slamball or something that a friend had, but I haven’t played it since I was a kid and I doubt it holds up.

Thanks. Appreciate it. I do like these lists when you get games you haven’t heard of. Always want to find out about new games. And I always forget how much I love my C64! I need to get a new screen for it so I can use the light gun!

This came up in my feed and I was delighted to learn what your top 10 would be. Your narration and video editing is superb, thank you for the effort put into your review.
I especially liked seeing "Edd the Duck". Being American, there are a number of titles you mention that I have never heard of. This game has quite amazing graphics, like he's ascending to heaven throughout. It look pretty impressive, even the 3D rotating teddy bears caught my admiration. That Chomper game was also an interesting take on Rampage, from a single side-scrolling perspective.
As for those complaining that this is not "their" top 10, my goodness. Only up 4 days and so many complaints! I thank the Review Brothers for the effort involved in making this, as obviously you already pointed out at the start that this is your top 10, so how could it be anyone else's? Some people just were born without manners but have plenty of smug narcissism. If he had psychic powers and knew what your top 10 list was, by reading your mind, then it wouldn't be his top 10 now would it? Please disregard the complaints, from people who never made a review video in their lives, and you have my thanks for your humble list.

Thank you. Really appreciate it. Yeah I’m a big fan of Edd the duck. He’s a cult hero.
It is good to see other people’s favourite games. I prefer the ones that show games that aren’t the same as mine, it’s a good way to discover new games.

I didn't play most of those but yes, Bubble Bobble is my favourite! Other favourites are Bruce Lee, Paradroid, Gauntlet IV (I think), International Soccer, Silk Worm, Spy Hunter and Spy Vs Spy... What a system, some absolute bangers! Thanks for your top 10 x

One thing that was wild about Little Computer People was that each copy apparently had a unique character that you interacted with. They had different personalities, looked different, had different names. Pretty impressive stuff for the time. I even remember reading something about how not all of them came with a pet. Not so sure about that, as that would be a bummer if your little person didn't have a little dog too. My little guy was named Myron and he had a dog. He looked different than your little person. Nice that they spiced it up with variety. Sort of a precursor to the Tamagotchi or something. :-)

I was always kind of disappointed that the time of day didn't matter. Even if you told it that it was 4am, he'd still be wandering around, rather than sleeping. I also would have liked it if he had a friend come over, or if he'd go out for a while, then come back.

Would I have liked to see Project: Firestart or Below The Root or what have you in this list? Sure, but i appreciate the individuality of this list.

I really played the battletech game to death, it helped me learn english. But at the end i really did not understand how to finish it. I searched everywhere for a map you would need at the end unbeknownst to me you had to use the map in the booklet outside the game.
I even found out you could hijack other mechs!
Also Turrican 2 was really the best!

were you a late comer to the C64? Certainly the C64 has a wealth of great games and of course we tend to like what he had but a lot of these were quite late. Have you also played any of the most well regarded games or was it a case of having just a few games back then and then you moved away from the system

I think it’s more that I was only 6 or 7. So didn’t buy games myself and had to make to with whatever family would get us for Christmas and birthday. I certainly didn’t have any way of actually looking for games other than what was on the shelf at the shops when we were there. But always looking for new ones to try.

@@thereviewsbrothers3854 these must be very strong fondly remembered memories then. I was a little older at around 12 and fairly spoilt so got to sample quite a bit of the software up to around 85 when I moved on at this time. So some classic early stuff but I missed a lot of what you had but it's great now to play any of these games so easily. Magical time with most of us being quite young I expect
