I had changing platforms. The energy it takes to "explore" new options is tiring. Please do a detailed video on each of the options. Please and thank you.
Yes, I would love a more detailed video on how each resource you mentioned works. Thank you for all you do! You are an absolute inspiration and a great help to me!! :)
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to share your input... it seems like there is definitely a desire for some tutorials so I'll be adding that to the list!
@@PocketfulofPrimaryAdobe had a argument with Figma and they have discussed that they should shutdown the application, And now it will shutdown soon because they didn’t made a deal.
Jamboard was nice because it was free and universal regardless of who you were. All the alternatives with jamboard importers seem to be only free for k12 education which honestly sucks. As a student in college I’d use it much more casually to help other students in some of my classes
Thank you for this alert! My district is a Google user and I have not heard this yet! My jamboards from our virtual environment are still beneficial to students on my classroom smartboard so you provided me some tools to use in order to recreate them this coming summer and preserve them for my future scholars! Thanks!
Ahhh... you're so welcome! I'm happy that I could provide the information for you and hopefully some of these other tools will work for what you need! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! 🥰🖤
Thank you for the excellent videos that you provide. I would love it if you would develop videos on how to use the alternatives in the classroom. I am interested to see which you prefer. I used your Jamboard tutorials in my Technology in the Classroom class and would love to have a guided tutorial that would help me with the alternatives. Thanks for helping educators grow!
Aww, thank you so much for your kind words Kathy! I'm happy you enjoyed it and I'll definitely have more coming with more information on the alternatives! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! 🥰🖤
Thanks for sharing your take on these possibilities. As an adult educator of multilingual emergent readers and writers, one of my first priorities is always how a whiteboard will appear on a smartphone. Learners in our classes do not typically have laptops, tablets, or even email addresses. One of the things I loved about JB was that learners could access their very own frame to work on with a very simple interface 😅 I appreciate these suggestions very much!
I totally understand that! I haven't played around with any of these on mobile yet but I'll keep that in mind when I explore them further and include the info in future tutorials!
Hey hey, Michelle! Happy Friday and November. Also, happy Fall 🍂🍁! As always, your video is so clear, informative, and entertaining. I have barely used Jamboard, so I will be okay with this shutdown. However, I love that you offered several alternatives to help educators fill the void left by Jamboard. Also, I enjoyed this week's Teaching to the Top podcast about emails. We just ended our first quarter today and have report cards, conferences, and evaluation meetings on Monday and Tuesday. I want to use some of this time to prune my email inbox. Finally, I am happy to see any tech tutorials you have; they are very beneficial. Thanks for all you do, and have an amazing weekend and week ahead! 💜
Hey, hey right back at ya Mandy! Happy Monday and happy November to you too (although your happy Friday sounded much better 😂)! That's good news but hopefully some of these other options might become tools you and your students use moving forward! Also, I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed that episode on Teaching to the TOP! Going through emails is never fun BUT it feels so good once that inbox is clear! Thank YOU for all that you do and stay healthy! 🥰🖤
Is there anything exactly the same(unlikely, but maybe almost the same) as Jamboard? It's just perfect as it is for me personally. I tried the recommended alternatives and even though there are a lot more features and every thing, it's overwhelming to use and I dont need all those features.....
Please make a tutorial for Figjam. I'm dabbling now but could use some help learning the basics. I see now that Jamboards can now be imported directly into Figjams. I would like to see ways it can be used with students. It's new to educators and I'm not finding to many resources yet of how it's implemented in the classroom.
Thanks so much for the info... I am definitely upset that Jamboard is going away. I love to use it in my room daily. I am interested in playing around with the other options. Any other videos you can provide on the alternatives would be appreciated.
It is a really helpful video! Thanks a lot! By the way, would you mind telling me the model of the camera you used to record that video? The image is just awesome!
First of all hi! I love you ! I alway look forward to your videos im so proud of you can you please do a update on you and how things are going and im also looking forward to your Christmas vlogs agian love you so much hugs
Michelle I am a knitter and crocheter and I am LOVING YOUR SWEATER!!!! Is it handmade or store bought. I can't take my eyes off it. I would love to recreate it!😍🥰
Which one would you recommend out of the three you demonstrated? I'm having analysis paralysis and can't decide which one to dive into first. Thanks for the great videos!
Thank you so much for this video. I've been using Jamboard for years, so I need to make some adjustments now. Here is one thing I am wondering now: if I export all of my Jamboards to pdfs using the awesome shortcut that you shared, will Google later create duplicate pdfs of all of my Jamboards, since they are going to export all of our Jamboards to pdfs?
Who decided to delete such an indispensable tool??...specially when the need is dire😢 these alternatives are great but could be difficult to use for primary learners Thanks for sharing
Are you able to add Lucid to Google Classroom? I copied the link and added it that way, but I want to each student to have their own copy. Is there a way to do that?
I'm so happy that Jamboard was useful for you and hopefully these other tools will be as well! I hope you, your family, your students, and their families stay safe! 🖤
Michelle, Have you ever heard of the saying about how life is like a bag of candy because you never know what you're gonna get? Well, Here it is. Things are always changing especially when it comes to technologies. - Dwight
I'm so sorry to hear that! But, as I mentioned at the end, the other options have way more features so once you learn how to use it, it will definitely be an upgrade!
Each of the options I shared is free for educators? Even if you're not a teacher, I believe they all have free plans available that just have less features.

Yes!! Always love any tutorials you provide!

Thank you for clarifying the whole scenario. Thank you so much for your time and effort.
I would love tutorials! I am not a digital native so unless taught, I do not learn new technologies very readily.
I totally get it! I'll keep that in mind and try to incorporate tutorials for each option over the next few months!

Thank you for the update!! Any of the options sounds good, barely know how to use Canva so any tutorial would be helpful!!
Thank you so much Claudia for watching and commenting! I'll definitely have a video coming for how to use Canva whiteboard so stay tuned! 🥰
The sad feeling is mutual. I still haven´t tried the other options. Thanks for the video though.
Looking forward to the videos on the exporting Jam video to the alternatives. I will be checking back in March. :)

Do you have a video on how to import Jams to the three options? I am trying to play around with it but on the struggle bus.
It is a really helpful video! Thanks a lot! By the way, would you mind telling me the model of the camera you used to record that video? The image is just awesome!
I’d love a Canva whiteboard tutorial! I love Canva but haven’t mastered the whiteboard yet.
I've got that on my list! I'll definitely be sure to make a tutorial on that soon... thanks for watching and providing your feedback! 🥰

Hi Kaitlin! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! I appreciate the love and support! 🥰🖤
So what if I don’t save my jams? Like I use it for single use whiteboard then erase each day? Will that still work after this year?
Michelle I am a knitter and crocheter and I am LOVING YOUR SWEATER!!!! Is it handmade or store bought. I can't take my eyes off it. I would love to recreate it!😍🥰
Aww, thank you so much! That's amazing and so sweet of you to say! I WISH it was handmade but it's actually from Amazon! 🥰
I'm going to miss the ease of Jamboard so much :( Do any of these have the tablet apps available as well?
Which one would you recommend out of the three you demonstrated? I'm having analysis paralysis and can't decide which one to dive into first. Thanks for the great videos!
I would more info about all of them especially which one you like best!

I would add JOTBOARD to this list. It was built based on Jamboard (layout and everything).

No one mentioned Padlet? Seems like the obvious non-Google alternative.

Ugh! I use Jamboard every day for my math lessons. I guess I need to learn something new now...
I'm so sorry to hear that! But, as I mentioned at the end, the other options have way more features so once you learn how to use it, it will definitely be an upgrade!
Use jotboard, which is same like jamboard
The alternatives cost $ to allow guests to edit...which means these alternatives aren't true alternatives. :/
I wish there was a free one.
Each of the options I shared is free for educators? Even if you're not a teacher, I believe they all have free plans available that just have less features.
I loved Jamboard because it had almost no tools
I don't use Google Jamboard but good to know
Thanks for watching anyway Brooke! 🥰
This is why I'm only sticking to core Google Products.
With how rapidly technology changes, I don't even know if those are safe forever 😂
