He was blacked out on the turf but he was allowed back in. That’s wild yo
Dude sprinted out of that tent once he realized the bills had the ball lmao
That was just a quick nap, brother.
This was a REGULAR thing just 15 years ago.
@@mattlol163 Yes, which is awful and has had wild affects on players.
He got knocked out last week against the Ravens. The NFL needs to be following up on this.
He got a concussion and went back in. Should be investigated.
It’s so stupid because they’re gonna do exactly what they did with tua and pretend he doesn’t have a concussion to save their own behinds, and then they’ll just pray that Josh doesn’t get another concussion in the next two weeks because then they have to admit it.
@eliyarrows2456 They lie. They gave Josh smelling salts that a camera caught, too. They don't care about players' health. He apparently hit his head hard last week, too. Covered that one up.
@@karenhardie1132I said the same thing Bills fans were saying Josh too tough to be concussed. They’re gonna end his career. He should have never gone back out there. 😮😮😮

Allen hit his head so hard it effected McDermott's clock management. Allen laid there for like 4-5 seconds OUT! No way that man should have been back out there. The NFL NEEDS to be more serious about these concussion protocols.
Or stop acting like they care one or the other
There has to be like a doctor that can over rule people in some situations like this I understand the teams and players don't want people gone but I want long-term health and a great season not a good 1 or 2 games

You’re right but just like every other big company you know what they don’t care and it’s very unfortunate. And it’s also wrong. I’m a bills fan. Of course I wanna see Josh Allen out there, but they need to watch him very carefully this week and I think he should not be practicing too much this week.
As a texans fan It was hard to be unbiased but they was definitely a concussion should not have been in
The Josh Allen situation makes the entire NFL concussion protocol look like a terrible joke of lip service!
That's because it is.

Thanks for at least talking about Allen getting knocked out. That moment was scary.
Horrible play calling by joe brady. Not enough experience to run an offence with no #1 receiver threat. He is not able to adjust at all mid drive or even mid game. Id rather Dorsey at least he didn't put Allen In as many bites. Under Brady Allen Runs 10% more as well. We are Lucky Josh was alright

In the Bill’s defense, Sean McDermott transferred the concussion damage to himself which is why he bungled the playcalling at the end. So Allen was fine.

Good call lose one game instead of multiple
In Sean’s defense I’m sure he didn’t want Josh to almost throw an interception on his passing play calls

Concussion protocol dude was at the concession stand when Allen got hit
He was smoking a cigarette 😂 he was like” mo knee gonna know I left for a few matures
Bills fans did not want Allen back out. I had time to ask 5x if he was dead before he moved. Dude was knocked out cold
All the fans at the game were pissed.
im a Texans fan but I was terrified when that happend. that was ridiculous they let him back out like that
But I was definitely worried too. Just seeing him lying there like 4-5 seconds not moving. I was hoping he'd be alive and ok. Thank goodness he's alive, except it really was so stupid of the Bills to bring him back out to the field like that. But I also believe he wanted to go back out to play against Stephon Diggs' new team and wanted to beat my Texans.
Same, as a Texans fan, I was shocked when I saw him back out there. Dude was OUT for a while. Team doesn’t care about him AT ALL
He wasn’t knocked out, he had an ankle injury that affected his head and ability to throw the ball

Tua has a history of concussions whilst Allen does not. So not make him sit for 4 additional games is probably justified, though in no world should he be able go in back to the game
Tua could even play if he wanted to after he gets a concussion. Not even CLOSE to the same.
Tua was literally out for WEEKS, and could pass basic tests. He could barely even WALK straight afterwards.....
Josh was running, not wozzzzyy, and ready to play.

That's not how concussions work it's all about when you clear protocol and the severity of the concussion and the number of concussions
@@christopherjackson1898 It seems like 95% of NFL fans have no idea how concussion protocol works.
We aren't talking about him smacking the back of his head last week against the Ravens on that trick play. Its looking like that may have concussed him. He looked off all game yesterday.
9 of 30 for 131? Yeah, I would say he was off. He was clearly out on that hit to the turf. His wrists were limp. Maybe not fully, but he was definitely stunned. I would not be surprised if he doesn't show up on the Thursday injury report with concussion symptoms.
NFL don’t give a fuk, Tua situation just happened... NFL is bout that money.

If you fall like a crash course dummy on the field you shouldn't ever go back in.

@@mattlol163no no brother you don't 😂that's the point of watching out for the players I know what you are saying but very wrong
The Bills have nothing to do with letting Josh go back out.
Every time something like this happens is the same story “ the team should be investigated” its not hard to understand, the team doesn’t make the call about a player being concussed or not, supposedly there has to be an impartial medical staff that checks on the player and decides if there was a concussion or not, this has been explained plenty of times since what happened with Tua a few years ago. So the NFL should investigate yes, but not a team, they should investigate if the medical staff they have is really doing something.
@@mattlol163 no he doesn't. Nobody who hits their head "Knows what they can take"
Thank you. This is not being discussed enough. My question is who was upstairs? They are allowed to override the team doctors??? Why wasn't the eye in the sky making that decision?
You really gotta ask? $$$
@@geordiejones5618yeah there's supposed to be an independent doctor up there.
@@jacklongley5932 There was. The independent doctor is who cleared Josh. Team doctors are not allowed to clear players from concussion protocol.
If you're knocked out, you have a concussion. That is something any neurologist would tell you. The concussion screening is a joke.
They aren’t actually always synonymous. Often, sure, and depending on what diagnostic criteria you use (there are quite a few well validated tools).
The complicating factor is that in a game like that you don’t have the time to truly sit the player down and evaluate them over a period of hours like I would in an ER.
We see kids and adults all the time who smack their head and there is some report that they possibly briefly lost consciousness (like in this clip, was he just dazed? Was he out cold? We don’t know) and after careful evaluation and monitoring they exhibit NO other symptoms and so they aren’t diagnosed with a concussion or mild traumatic brain injury because they don’t meet that criteria.
Although I’d still recommend rest and no contact for a little while.
@@JimYeatsthey have literally as much time as they want to evaluate a player. I don’t think you know how nfl concussion screenings work.
There’s an independent replay judge who watches every play for possible concussions so that they can get pulled from the game, the rules state that they must come off the field and be evaluated.
The doctors aren’t affiliated with either team and their only job is to decipher whether or not a player is concussed. There is no “well he’s already missed two plays and I can’t tell yet, I’ll just send him back out there because I’m hurting his team” they do not work for that team, their only job is to decide if they’re concussed.
I’ve been checked for a concussion. It doesn’t take long.
@@eliyarrows2456 Lol. I realize that they can take as long as they want if they wish, my point is that despite being an unaffiliated provider, there is still pressure to get a famous player (who will always wants to get back on the field) back into the game, whether it’s intentional or not.
Additionally, there are criteria and judgements that can’t be made until a certain amount of time has elapsed. Not to mention nuanced findings that don’t show up immediately, or won’t be detected in a sub five minute evaluation.
There is no debate that a five minute concussion evaluation on an NFL sideline is subpar. That’s a compromised evaluation meant to get players back on the field quickly. Zero debate about that.
No medical provider working at any acute care facility would walk into a room where a patient just hit their head very hard, reportedly lost consciousness, and do a 3-5 minute evaluation, and go, “whelp, that’s all I need, you’re good to go back into full contact immediately!”, no one, anywhere, at any medical facility.
@@eliyarrows2456 That's the odd thing with all these Monday Morning Doctors the internet has created.
An independent doctor evaluated Josh. They performed whatever mandatory tests they have to do a field evaluation. And Josh passed the screening.
In a world where we have professional sports where the goal is to concuss the other player (boxing, mma, etc) and we have celebrations and highlights reels showing us the best concussions, it feels odd how overprotective everyone got of NFL players all of a sudden. Where's the cry for every boxer who's been knocked out to retire? Mike Tyson, I guess, should have retired 44 boxers.
@@JimYeats But you can't possibly make that determination in the time it takes to run 1 play!

"Don't be Dan orlowski" 😂 Dan o out here catching strays lmao
As a bills fan, my heart was in my stomach. The fall/hit wasn't a dirty one, it was a clean hit, Allen took it bad to allow his head to bounce off the ground the way it did. Allen claims his issue was his ankle and his chest- he had the wind knocked out of him. That's all fine and dandy, but me personally I didn't want to see Allen back on the field.
how sweet, u really care.
Not ONE sport show has brought this up ( besides this one) and they are actively avoiding it. Every time Tua got a concussion in 2022 and this year it was top stories, why is JA's and the Bills getting out of this without questions.
2:14 Great history comment Darius. Remember when Cam Chancellors hit on Julian Edelman in the superbowl was celebrated and in the promo adverts? 9 years later, Cam would be getting suspended and Edelman would likely be in concussion protocol.
But NFL got to get that $$$$$$. Not a concussion, not a crime, not a problem.
He was fine. They pull guys out for an eye twitch these days.
The NFL rules or protocols are a joke when the game is more important than the players health

At the end of that game, the Bills should have ran it three times and punted. They would have gone to OT. They would have still had a chance.

Justin and Josh both got concussed on prime TV and both were let back on the field 😅
After this whole tua fiasco how do u let him go back in? Everyone w eyes knew he was out cold for 5-10 seconds
Josh should not have been allowed back in that game! Where were the neurotrauma guy? Or are they just not sent to afc west games. Smelling salts should also be completely banded
California does a better job checking voter IDs than they did checking Josh for a concussion 😂
Congrats to modern technology where helmets have supposedly gotten better and concussions have increased.
Real grass should be mandatory.
Don’t worry they hooked him up with smelling salts before they sent him back in… he was good
All the bills fans trying to make Allen not seem like Tua. Two weeks in a row he had been concussed.
The worst part about it? He was offered smelling salts on the sidelines. The camera actually caught it and then quickly cut away. He was clearly knocked out and should not have been put back in the game.
Reminded me of tua with his "back" injury
Of all the crazy things that used to be normal in the NFL, the fact that they used to straight up play on concrete might be the craziest.
Props for the Bills head coach to push him to the blue tent....I dont think people understand how bad concussions truly are....
You know whats odd, Allen said it was his chest that hurt, not his head. Didn't Tua say that as well when he got concussed against the Bills and came back in. I wonder if something happens where your head may not hurt but your chest does when you are concussed? I really hope Josh is alright. Thankfully he has an extra day to rest up before next weeks MNF game against the The New Jersey Jets
Tua said it was his back and so did the team
@@kurtrogers9658 Oh ok, I thought it was something they said other than concussion.
Sean was questioned about Josh’s hit, his eyes averted looking directly @ the screen when he said it was his fault. One sign of deception. I like Sean, but not at the cost of Josh’s health.
