      Why is the theta a higher amount in the lower end if in the money contracts? Wouldn't it be higher for the contracts that are the most in the money?

    I dno what the strike price means

    • @og.fishgang9201
      @og.fishgang9201 6 месяцев назад

      The strike price is the agreed upon price from the seller and buyer of the option. It’s the price you anticipate the stock to move away/towards. Options are like stocks, they can be shorted (you can sell before you actually acquire the sharess/contract) this works in reverse from buying options. So for a short seller of a call option , this means that the price needs to decrease so that you can make a profit from the shares you sold at the market price. The opposite is for puts.

    Nobody explains how they freaking work. If a stock is sitting at $75 a share and I buy a call option with a strike price at $65 for $12.30 a share. Do I have to front the $1230 immediately? If that’s the case let’s say I buy this option, now what? Do I own 100 shares now? Can I turn around and sell them? Do they sell for $65 a share or the current market value of $75 a share? Do I make $6500 or $7500??? How the hell do these work lol nobody wants to make a damn video explaining any of this.

Scroll down and read the section "PEEK INSIDE THE MASTERCLASS" You will see all the section "TRADE OPTIONS LIKE AN EXPERT" I can teach you how to understand option in less than 15min. My Mentorship is Application only, if you get accepted you can see my exact trades and you'll have the ability to copy my exact trades if you choose to do so. I explain in much detail why I am entering and the specific strategy I'm using. I post a chart when I buy and when I sell for a profit or loss. I take pride in being extremely transparent! Hope to see you over there!

      Am still learning but this is what i know: if u buy a call with strike price of $65, and pay $12.30 a share and ths stock is trading at $75 now.
      Its in the money option. Yes you have to pay the premium which is $12.30×100=1230.
      You don't own the stock but you own the Right to take and sell the stock from the day of purchase to the EXPIRATION date. If you hold longer and the price of stock goes higher,say $90,you make more compared to selling immediately. Assuming it goes to $90 and you sell. You will tentatively make $9000 minus
      1. 100×$65 which is your strike price.
      2. $1230, which is the premium u paid.
      So u will make $9000-($6500+$1230)
      $9000 - $$7730.
