This video has been processing for 2 days, but the 4k option doesn't seem to be loading - do you have the option on your device?
nope,1080p only and miss mi mix 2s in this comparison lol
Mrwhosetheboss what is 4K
Yes
Mrwhosetheboss nope, just 1080p
Mrwhosetheboss nupp
The only youtuber who brought Xperia among the flagship killers..
Mohamed Ajmal thats good
Xperia is actually good. Sony just fails at marketing their own products..so it's usually not even part of the conversation for most ppl
Xperia is pretty good, my dad would use it over his iPhone X for taking pics
Thanks for the comparison mate. S9 and P20 Pro seem best to me.
hey Karl Rock respect our countries law. Thankyou
Samsung's front facing camera would be a million times better if it wasn't so cool toned and soft. Westerners tend to gravitate towards warmer and more detailed selfies, a lot of us don't want the Asian aesthetics.
Pencil Wisdom u can reduce beauty to 0
I still use the back camera instead of the front regardless.
Why can’t my laptop’s webcam be this good...
Hypur ᶠˣ nokia 3310 is best
thats why
Idk maybe no one takes selfies with it.
It is just a skype call thing nowadays, and really, people don't use it that much
use NOKIA 3310
Hypur ᶠˣ cause the fbi is watching you
You didn’t use P20 pro’s night mode, so this comparation isn’t fair...
Denz a mode that doesnt work with moving subjects.. do you need to take pictures of buildings in the dark ?
I don't know about you but I do quite regularly actually
@SaltyPsycho is that true?
I'm really thinking about getting it ( P20 pro). But been using Samsung for so many years I'm not sure about changing.
P20 pros night mode is unbelievable. Check out other you tube videos on it.
He used automode cause most of people use it like that
Pixel 2 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus almost equal in rear camera but in front camera pixel 2 is a beast 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Rahul Saini 👍
i prefer s9 front camera tbh
And if you install Google HDR+ then there'll be absolutely no difference
Have to say the s9 is way better
Pixel 2 is way better, I had both and I gotta say I enjoyed taking photos with the pixel more. Samsung tends to oversharpen images, also images look sterile compared to pixel.
I'm sorry. The samsung might be able to produce a slightly brighter image in auto than the P20 Pro in extreme low light, but the fact is the P20 Pro has more detail, less noise and waaaay better dynamic range in lowlight in auto mode, and using night mode it's simply not a contest anymore.
The P20 is the lowlight champion by a large margin.
1- Pixel
2- S9+
3- XPERIA
4- p20
5- iphone
This would be the perfect smartphone camera setup:
Huawei's megapixels
Samsung's lowlight
Google's contrast balance,
Huawei's zoom
Sony's ultra slow motion
For front facing camera, Google, but Apple's camera isn't bad either.
Huawei's upcoming Mate 20 Pro with the Kirin 980 might fix some things, whilst getting 4K 60 fps.
But all of these things only matter if you only take the regular photos and not editing.
If you take RAW and edit, it almost doesn't matter at all. The front facing camera that doesn't have anything except portrait mode, it does matter
Ludwig Harisuo Huawei does also win for lowlight using the night mode which he should have used since he showed 960 fps slowmotion on phones which could.
and none from Apple rofl
Jimmy Tandika I did change it and gave Appel the front facing camera, it's pretty good.
Ludwig Harisuo No way the pixel has a much better front camera
i think apple's front facing camera makes your skin darker. believe me, i've tried. your skin appears more darker than it really is.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium 😎 is Coming Soon... beast of camera 📸 😎can't wait....
XtremE16 I m waiting xz2 premium
I am waiting too
ikr XZ2 Premium will destroy every other flagship smartphone
Axi good joke
Michael Jimenez but its true look at specs of xz2 premium they are better than samsung galaxy s9+.
better cameras
sharpest screen ever
(760ppi)
4k resolution
(2160p)
gorilla glass 5
quick charge 3.0
6gb ram
Snapdragon 845
andreno 630
so yea it will destro every flagship phone well if you dont know anything about phones dont comment in these type of videos
The best comparison video that I have seen in a long time!
You haven't seen many videos in a long time huh
Great comparison!
But to add note, the XZ2 does have a portrait mode called "Bokeh" which you can find in the apps section of the camera app (scroll up on the top and you'll see a variety of modes like AR Effect and all that, which also includes Bokeh mode).
It only works for the rear camera though, but to be honest, it actually works wonders even with just one camera. I'd say below the Pixel 2, but that phone is quite better than the others as well.
And seeing all the samples, I actually think the XZ2 is the second placer for low light shots. Like it's less brighter than the S9+, but is just as detailed.
And yes, 19mp does make lots of wonders for resolution.
Not sure what happened with dynamic range though, as well as the motion blur, considering they don't look so different from afar.
Johnny Since Yh, I agree. For low light the XZ2 definitely came in 2nd with the P20 Pro way more blury and not much brighter than the XZ2. For that situation alone, the XZ2 was way ahead of the P20 but the S9 was still leagues ahead of everyone.
Regarding the shutter speed, I believe in manual the XZ2 can get 1/4000 or maybe more and ISO 12800 (same as XZPREMIUM in auto mode). So I truly don't know why it wasn't clearer.
It's funny. SONY make the best camera hardware but from the bunch probably the least impressive software to match the hardware.
It's been the SONY way from the start m8.
I think the winner of this test overall goes to the P20 Pro with SLO MO and oddly clarity being won by the XZ2. S9 for low light and Pixel for bokeh.
For me, when I choose a camera with high MP, I want the sharpest photo I can get to get the details. The XZ2 has really bad dynamic range game but for clarity it's an easy win for me.
I won't be getting it because I use the XZPREMIUM but it's what I'd choose if I had the choice.
Agree.
I've none of these devices but I'm still gonna watch it😓
Neha R same... Lol
Truly ultimate comparison. I thought XZ is not good in all aspects but in the last you showed about details and for it was the best. Surprising.
Finishing music is so nice man. I totally appreciate your work.
Music name plz?
@Bhautik @Nitin La Fuente - Deep Down Inside
Wow! Have seen a lot of reviews on mobile cameras and others come nothing close to what you did in this video. Hats off!
I am actually pleasantly surprised by the fact that Sony XZ2 is performing really well and it is close to other flagships with best cameras', and when you take into account the dual front facing speakers, great performance, finally reduced bezels and great software support - XZ2 seems like a really good option 😎 I just wish that they would not have such a stupid FPS location on the back...
Front camera is really bad
Random Guy lol i have sony m5 that cost 200 € and it has 13 mpx front camera, i am saying that it is a let down that flagship has only 5 mpx, ✌
To be honest I really thought they would have one of the best cameras. Since Sony also makes cameras
I’ll stick to my s9
No mention of its 4K HDR function.. Its the only phone to do it, blow out would be solved.
For everyone wondering about the p20 pro's night mode, this comparison is aimed at consumers who will just pull out the phone and take a picture with the auto camera mode, NOT THE CAMERA GEEKS who will mess around with shutter speed and all that (which is what the p20 does in night mode) so chill. Great video arun (hope i spelt you name right😂😂)
*The True Inspiration For Me*
s9+ 😍😎
Wow!Nice review i like it. Very well done ☺👏
I think if u see all around... for me s9 + was winner... ready for a healthy conversation...
Day light photos: Google Pixel 2 XL / Night light photos: Huawei P2 Pro / Video stabilization(walking): Google Pixel 2 / Video without moving (stop): Iphone X / Video slow motion: Xperia XZ2,/ Selfie & Portrait Mode : More natural Iphone X, More beauty : Huawei P20 Pro. Macro photos : Samsung Galaxy S9+ . I´m a Nokia Lumia user waiting Huawei P20 Pro coming this week ;)....and Thanks you for the video comparison, partner !
The Galaxy S9+ is the best overall. Has the best lowlight photos, great videos with great HDR, has amazing features, pro mode, 2x optical zoom, best rear camera portrait edge detection, super slomo..
Samsung have really done a great job with their camera.
Ativ book Totally agree, the S9+ is amazing. My only concern/what makes me not buy the phone is the long term usage. How long will it take before the phone will slow down, making it lag? 3 months? 6? 2 years?
It's so frustrating knowing this is the only reason I won't buy the S9+ ..
@@TheJoliCooli 2 years is more than enough for me, since I'm on a plan so I switch phones every two years
Watching this video on my s9+ and suddenly start capturing some low light shots.
Nice video as always but I think s9+ is the winner overall....and as we already test the p20 pro has no image stabilization in 4K videos.
But this is my opinion......!
for normal people or homemade video, 1080p is clear enough, if you gonna take 4k video, that means it might for work, you will need to use stabliser, no matter use s9+ or P20 pro. but overall, S9+ is better than P20 pro, just a bit better
The best camera comparison you will ever find on RUclips
Great camera comparison overall. You should mention p20 pro's night mode. Overall s9+ and p20 pro is better then others.
Towsif Shahriar Shovo 👍
No
Hello.
For me:
1. Pixel
2. IPhone
3. Samsung
4. Huawei
5. Sony
Love the work you put into your videos😊
👍
I love it when they include an Xperia on their comparison. They just don't jump on the bandwagon and kill the brand.
Great comparison 👌👌👌
Low light is very important for taking photos of your baby inside the house at night. A lot of european homes have very dim lights. I replaced all my bulbs to something ridiculously strong and bought extra light stands to place on corners. Why all this. Because true passion for photos comes with your first baby. Shuffling through photos to see how your baby has grown is shear joy. I can imagine myself in 30 years when I'm 70 and retired doing the same thing. What matters in these photos/videos is the baby, and catching golden moments. And most golden moments happen at night inside the house. Like most others I bought my first DSLR when my first baby was born. Nothing beats the Canon with its 50mm, but it's simply too big, it's gathering dust. Low light and portrait mode is the most important categories for every father. Moral of this comment is, make sure you get married and have kids. You won't regret it. I can't imagine a single person in the history of man kind who has regretted having kids.
You know what p20 pro have handed stabilized night shot(All phones need tripod) , which means p20 Pro can shoot a better photo them all
Rocking ADL exactly
With proper technique of steady night shots, any high-end phone with Pro Mode can match P20 Pro Night Mode picture which requires 4 seconds of exposure. At that point, human reaction would impact the performance of P20 Pro Night Mode producing an oily effect. Nevertheless, tripod will be still needed unless someone can hold a shot for 4 seconds.
Tippotipo, if you didn't see the Huawei p20 pro launch then see then see, Huawei claims, that in Huawei p20, p20 pro and mate r s all of them have "handed night shot"!.(and it really works) You don't have to buy or use tripod for that night shot.
+Tippotipo No it wouldn't impact the P20 Pro's night shot completely handheld amazing night shots is the whole point, were you living in a cave for the past month? Huawei uses AI and AIS to achieve what no other phone can.
Night mode is not actually 4 seconds of exposure but is pixel binning. You haven't used it because if you did you would know that even slight movements of the hand does not impact the final shot. The pixel binning is why the low light shots can be taken without a tripod compared to just using a longer exposure.
Really great non-biased video! Everyone I know with a Pixel 2 is complaining that the Pixel camera is the best at everything.
My rankings are:-
1. S9+
2. Pixel 2
3. Huawei P20 pro
4. IPhone X
5. Sony XZ2
Just a few thoughts here:
1. These phones are very close in picture quality, you can take quality shots no matter which phone you choose.
2. Photography shouldn't be about gear; a good photo is a good photo, period. No matter the equipment.
3. If you're really that into photo quality, buy a cheaper phone, save money and buy a dedicated DSLR/CSC/compact camera. It would downright beat any smartphone camera for at least 5 years, not to mention that you get many creative options and flexibility that can't be replicated on a smartphone camera.
Either the Pixel or iPhone X, the Galaxy is Overexposed and the P20 is way too retouched. I prefer the iPhone the most, you get a raw picture that you can edit easily and refine the way you want. I know I’m gonna get hate but it’s my opinion. 😉 But I still like the Pixel 2.
Probably the best camera comparison video I've ever seen!
S9+ is the best! Hands down
I have NEVER got an image that blurred in zoom on an iPhone X EVER. this photographer moved during this shot and it clearly shows in the zoomed image.
Doesn't matter what camera it is - mrwhosetheboss will look good as usual 🔥
Very well made and you touch all the right points. Is there a reason why you didn't mention the P20 Pro night mode? Surely this is a major feature of the Huawei?
Quality content again...😍👊👊
Prashant Choudhary 👍👍
great comparison!! This is the best comparison out till now!!
Ayyyy old market sqaure..a ahha go to uni here in nottingham, thought i recognised the photos
Can't wait to see the ultimate smartphone comparaison of 2019 including the new Sony Xperia 1!
I appreciate what you are doing. Keep it up! :D
This was probably produced well before the LG G7 official announcement, but it would have been nice to have the LG G7 included.
Would you be wrong to say that Pixel have the best Pixel'(s)...? ;)
3DFX yes
Pixel es mejor en varias fotos de este video.
more real
The iPhone got the deeper ones though...
3DFX No.
The thumbnail alone shows that this is the most ultimate camera test
s9+ and pixel were the best
The best comparison so far. I had Iphones for the last 7 years but maybe i will change this time.
I think you forgot the bokeh mode and the video hdr on the xz2
Yeah, especially that 4K HDR option, very underrated.
But to be fair, he also needed to test the 4K @60fps of the iPhone X and Galaxy S9+, while the Pixel 2 and P20 Pro are going to lose since they don't have anything up their sleeves to offer in 4K video shooting.
For me....Pixel 2, Galaxy S9, Xperia XZ2, iPhone X, Huawei P20 Pro. But..there are all great and more then enough for FB, Insta and co. Thx, for the vid.
Great video 📹 make another one when the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is out, it will have dual camera 🎥, It may become a winner
It has the potential to be, considering the XZ2 is already keeping up with phones that have superior optics.
Johnny Since yup bro I m also waiting for xz2 premium
The smashing of the subscribe button was a bad idea. I broke my monitor doing that
Single lens going toe to toe sometimes even exceeding those multiple lens
#Pixel2AndXZ2MasterRace
P20 for videos, Pixel 2 for photos. If LG V30 was here it would have won the video test.
Let's see what the Xperia XZ2 Premium can do.
Gonna be a killer!
If they use the same multi-frame noise reduction image processing, then they have a new winner.
Not better than P20 Pro, but has the potential to destroy the S9+ in low light (f/1.6 on a 1/2.3" sensor with 1.55um pixel size, just no OIS but for the XZ2, it doesn't even matter so neither will it for the XZ2 Premium).
Johnny Since Sony's doing it right! But I'm a bit hesitant on non-OIS.
Johnny Since I hope XZ2P is going to even better than P20 pro...
Frando 99 P20 is nowhere better than any other smartphone except it has a better zoom. It just have its own trick up its sleeves, a 40 megapixel sensor for better resolution on zooms but for everyday shots its nowhere better than other smartphones. It still depends on how the system handles exposure and shutter speed. And btw, the noise cancellation on Huawei cameras are just strong as Samsung's, small details and bumps on rough surfaces are lost during the process.
You probably don't know but if you switched the P20 Pro colour profile to standard it will not boost the saturation and contrast. It is set on Vivid by default.
xz2 does have "bokeh" mode for the rear camera...lol....also i like it better for the natural colors...
Marxy PH 👍
sony has this *"5-axis image stabilization works when Intelligent Active Mode is enabled. Only supported on up to Full HD resolution 30 FPS"* which is a feature from their pro cameras , maybe thats why it is better
Amazing the S9+
Surely this has become your life....the amount of hardwork you put into each video.....😊.....
Soo the xperia got the most detail..how surprising..
muhammad Dzul hakimie well Sony has always been like this , u wud get much better Raw image from Sony or probably iPhone x while others process their pics a lot
Quad Bayer sensors like on the P20 Pro don't resolve as much detail as single bayer sensors like on the other 4 phones.
S9 photos are chocolates to me! So far the best...love my s9
Another excellent camera comparison. Keep it up!
Rahat Ali 👍
I just realized that the p20 pro flips selfies around. You can tell at 6:24 (the writing on his shirt is backwards)
#mrgalaxyistheboss 💜
Mohammed Ullah Rasel 👍
Brilliantly done. But, at least you should've mentioned what sort of camera settings that you were using for all given scenarios. You seem to have been kind of hard on the Xperia XZ2. As you know, it has camera apps for shooting scenarios like Bokeh. Or you just use Auto scene recognition. Also, if needed HDR, is a simple tog away. This is not a criticism mate, but just an observation. Another thing, the above phones all have different camera sensors and use different apertures. I also found P20 pro very superficial, in terms of how it depicts the clouds. Well done mate.
p20 has night mode it is the low light king
This is great video with loads of work I'd have to say, nice. But you didn't try Huawei's Nightshot mode which would have totally destroyed the low light section lol.
for me Huawei P20 Pro 😍🥇
saviru ranjaya 👍👍
Your music at the end makes me feel happy. Pixel 2 xl with iPhone a close 2nd. Will be buying the P3XL if they don't fudge it up.
Sony Xperia the most Accurate shot❤❤❤
I feel like we're at a point where if you get any of these phones and learn how to effectively use their cameras, you will be satisfied no matter what. Yes each one has its perks that stand out against the others but throughout this video I had a hard time telling many of these photos apart to find a clear winner. I personally use a pixel 2 xl and i can't see myself ever really wanting to brag about how good my camera is compared to other phone cameras since they are so similar. If i were to switch, with a bit of time i would be just as satisfied with anything else.
All Hail Pixel 2!
In my opinion this one is surely the best camera comparison for latest flagships. Really helpful and fair compared. Keep up your good work mate.
I thought that the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus traded blows with the Google Pixel 2 XL. I didn’t like the Huawei P20 Pro’s flat imaging and the fact that it didn’t have image stabilization in 4K
Aiden The Cameraman of Wyatttubereviews Why 4k on a mobile phone.
Alexandr Puskin RUclips Videos
Agree with you..we can edit the photo after taken but we can't change the video stabilization..i chose s9+ over sony...
The S9+ can do 1080p slow-mo as well, it's hidden deep in the settings.
Samsung rock, second the Huawei p20
Ronald Sipe 👍
You made Nottingham look nice! Great comparison
Huawei is Best 👌 👌 👌
MoGun Mohan 👍👍
In May 2018, I still will choose Pixel 2 XL or iPhone X any day. These two still ruling.
Huawei rocksssss 🔥🔥🔥
whixxor x in China
I wish all these companies would team up to make the best smartphone camera ever and just put it on all their phones.
Sumsung S9+ is best
RIYAZ Uddeen s👍
One of the best camera comparisons. Gr8!
Pros
Samsung - Low light and saturated pictures
Apple - best video and overall solid
Google - best point&shoot pic and best selfie
Huawei - best zoom and good AI pics
Sony - best super slo mo and biggest pics
Cons
Samsung - over saturated and unrealistic
Apple - bad portrait selfie
Google - no zoom
Huawei - terrible video stabilization in 4K
Sony - Poor dynamic range and worst selfie
Personal opinion
I think the iPhone camera is the best since I like realistic photos and good video, it really doesn’t have any weakness, but probably is not the best in any field other than video..
I believe the Samsung and google are great options also, I don’t like the huawei since the stabilization is a deal breaker and I found the triple camera a bit of a gimmick and the Sony I think is overall inferior to the other 4
Personal camera ranking
1.- Apple
2.- Samsung
3.- Google
4.- Huawei
5.- Sony
What’s your opinion?
Lmao Apple first? Switch Apple and Huawei we all know the iPhone's camera is only better than the XZ2's here.
And why you need 4k on a mobile phone? Then you should buy a normal camera.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
The pixel wins for me. Great dynamic range , realistic colors, doesn't over expose. the front camera looks as good as the rear. the video stabilization is the best.
Actually Sony has the most realistic colors.
At 4:54... i hardly see any difference between the photos of the water between those 5 cameras. The only difference is that the xz2 did a better job in maintaining detail in the background like you can actually see the line where one stone block of the fountain meets another. The others are just dark in the background. So i would say it‘s the best picture, not the worst like you said. Other than that, very good comparison.
Boss 😎
Great Video. Really interesting I was not able see it before.
I already knew this that p20 pro is the best camera 📸........ It wins
Hahaha in your wildest cheap dreams
head turner this is ur lol
head turner Haha In your samsung fanboying dreams.
Samsung never can beat Huawei
Rocking ADL hahaha you're so delusional
Ayeee camera comparison is back
That shutter speed comparison of one single fountain shot is about the most useless comparison I have ever seen in all phone camera reviews. At that kind of light condition, are you kidding me you can tell the difference between 1/3200s and 1/2500s? All you see is post processing and randomness. Even you use same Huawei to take 20shots in a matter of 1minute, I bet no two shots share the exact same shutter speed. I guess those comparison photos were taken one by one so could have taken 1minute total. Any slight cloud movement will have more impact on shutter speed than the phone camera's auto mode.
Huawei does have the fastest shutter speed here though.
JZ VR it means nothing. First the shutter speed difference is minimal. Any analysis trying to say any of them has "advantage" is illusion. Secondly, It might be the slightly stronger reflection on water caused exposure meter system use higher shutter speed, or it might be Huawei tend to use less exposure at that scene then apply stronger post processing to affect overall brightness of image.
Check out comparison shots of people walking+fast moving objects the S9+ shots are blurred every time while P20 Pro's shots remain sharp so it means everything, also another guy did an indoor side by side comparison pressing the shutter as fast as he could on both phones you can clearly see the P20 Pro has less shutter lag and takes shots faster.
JZ VR I was commenting on this scene bright sunlight, highly reflection, very fast shutter speed. All these shots do not show any tendency of any contender's superiority. Different scenes are different situations, camera's program exposure preference has bigger impact on shutter speed than outright capabilities. Not necessarily faster shutter speed is better. The last bit of your comment is irrelevant because shutter lag is entirely new topic, has nothing to do with auto mode shutter fast or not. Shutter lag can be measured by equipment in a lab, decent camera test sites should have that covered already.
I know, I was saying the P20 Pro does have faster shutter speed regardless, and faster shutter speed is certainly a good capability to have since shutter speed can be slowed down but not sped up if it's already at its limit.
This is gonna blow up. So many phones. Been here since 100k
2 days working on a video
he wrote it has been processing for two days
Pravesh Pathak yep
The P20 Pro's rear camera is just insane!! For the front camera, Pixel 2 Wins BY FAAR. So, camera wise, chose depending on what camera you mainly use. For me I NEVER take front facing photos so I would take the P20 Pro. S9+ comes second to the P20 Pro IMO.
