Dude killer tracklist! If this was also your first mix in general i find that hard to believe because you really know your stuff. And you definitely are a DJ even if you don't think so in the conventional sense. You know how to command a mix.
+Styleus Thanks a lot for your words man, that was indeed a very special day, it was the first time I decided to put some of my favourite songs one after another. Now it's a hobby to relax and have some fun, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
+Ardefisty Dude it was the same for me. when i first discoverd mixing i was amazed and had to try it for myself. i actualy began practicing with trance, my first 2 mixes were Styleus vol. 1 and Spellbound, then my first hardcore mix was SHH. But yeah they were all for the fun of mixing and i really liked the idea of creating a journey through music. So far I have only made 1 freeform mix myself and its really cool because its like the hardcore version of trance and i already love both!
+Styleus I guess once you step in to mixing, you are stuck there forever. I really love UK Hardcore and Freeform in general, so it feels good to share that music on the web, I'll check out your freeform mix right now ;^D
That's a very interesting question you're pointing out: for some people freeform -as a genre- doesn't really exist, if anything, freeform was just a transition for modern UK Hardcore to appear, hence the placeholder name (freeform doesn't really mean anything), and all the tracks in this mix should only be called UK Hardcore, that way we avoid an abundance of silly genres that don't mean anything. By the way I see it, Freeform Hardcore came up from the need of evolving the happy hardcore sound into something that's not cheesy, so it mostly features darker atmospheres, longer breakdowns, and more influence from other genres, like trance, goa, psy, and many others. 170BPM rave music can be cataloged in many ways: The classic happy and bouncy (the spiritual successor of Happy Hardcore), the non-cheessy and trance-inspired (maybe trancecore would be a better name, but almost no-one uses that), and then there are other genres like J-Core, Powerstomp, and Breakbeat Hardcore. You can point out the differences while listening to happy hardcore compilations -like the Bonkers series, or the Hardcore Underground CDs-, for example, the Bonkers series features a mix by DJ Hixxy (cheesy, bouncy, happy hardcore) and DJ Sharkey (driving, acid, darker, freeform). Or something like Hardcore Underground 6 (CDs 1 & 2 being UK Hardcore, CD 3 is Breakbeat Hardcore, and CD 4 is a prime example of Freeform Hardcore). Maybe there are too many genres? I don't know, I like how in music like metal you can point out exactly the sound you want to listen/produce with the wide amount of genres available, and with hardcore I think it should be the same way. Anyway, I hope this was helpful, if the message was not clear please tell me (I'm kinda waking up, so maybe this all sounds very incoherent lol).
@@Neurothrill so it's more of a "re-branding" of UK hardcore if you like. That's a shame because I really have a hankering for the amen loops and breaks. DJ seduction is on the right path in my view. Using the 'essence" of the original happy hardcore sound but using latest production
+Sporn ²3 Heheh, I'm very glad you liked it, in the end this is all about having a good time, and freeform can be super fun to mix and to dance :) This mix is at 176bpm, altough nowadays I mostly mix freeform at 180
That’s because fracas & Darwin as a duo play / produce vocal UK Hardcore which is predominantly south coast UK stuff. This is a Freeform mix so there would be no need to play any Frac & Darwin tracks Yeah Darwin has made Freeform but even that is very UK hardcore infused this mix is all about the trance vibes in Freeform and the darker styles of Freeform if I’m not mistaken And to the dj who made this mix -; big up ya self ✌️
Thanks for supporting the label!
This is jam packed full of bangers and is soundtracking my Friday perfectly. Flawless selection

Ardefisty
Kind of, I've beaten Dark Souls several times on PC and PS3, but I never got too interested in the sequels. Demon Souls is still pretty cool though.

This free-form stuff doesn't sound any different from the UK hardcore sound ..or have I missed something?
