@@bubbakittle6999 I’m really sorry it didn’t help you it worked for me I still make mistakes sometimes but most of the time I pronounce words correctly
Me too, I have a hard time with words that start with W or M (I get stuck on them) and anything that ends in G. If I say (for example) Anything it would come out sounding like Anything-*tongue click*GUH. So my therapist helped me by letting me know it was okay to say Anytheen, or Goween, or Thinkin. So my nemesis is words like Walking. Anyway, speech therapy helped me a lot actually. Just learning to pause when its getting bad and singing the sentence I need to make so it makes sense. Things like that.

We have teachers with it, journalists, politicians, it's not a big deal. I never thought of it being a speech impediment, it makes it sound like a big serious thing
o.O I know that Cady from Mean Girls was homeschooled and one (or both) of her parents got a teaching job and so they had to move and she no longer was homeschooled and saw high school as completely different but this was just....bizarre, like the only thing that would make sense is if you took away all the rules and moral codes and age limits and put it into an alternate world. This is what the alien society is going to be like.
Want to know what states in the US are giving their high school students breaks? The last time I had recess/break was when I was in 6th grade. After that, there was only lunch, and the five minutes before the next class when I was running from one building to another trying to make it in time through the crowded halls before the bell rang.
And a few teachers at my school don't let you leave to go to the bathroom in class. It makes sense but theres no time throughout the day so you have to basically not go for 7ish hours.
I'm surprised but also not surprised to hear that the US is seems to be the only english-speaking country that kills off recess after elementary school. After 5th there were no more breaks, but now in college we get 5-10 minute breaks in the middle of lecture so we can step outside and take our PPE off for a bit. It would probably improve morale in public schools a TON if pre-teens and teens got breaks.

Ok so I also graded work for teachers but most of the time we graded papers as a class to go over mistakes and we weren't allowed to grade our own work
have you noticed in almost every of these stories they come up with some stupid way to earn money; like this one is marking work and in another one it was reading peoples feelings
12:15 short breaker and longer break is not a time to play. Short break or Nutrition is a time school is selling food and time for you to use the restroom. The longer break or lunch is when you have to wait in a 15-20 min line, eat so fast you could choke, then rush to your next class. Or you could skip lunch and got to a club to make connections with fellow students.
The "helping teachers' grade" is actually a thing called Teacher's Aid. Usually, teachers will give a student the answer guide for tests they've given a lower grade and ask them to help grade. It's usually one teacher at a time, though. And it's for extra credit, not money. Also, sophmore year is 10th grade, so Rebecca is 14-15 when she becomes friends with Ms. Lee. Also, I think the reason Rebecca is so blunt is because she spent 10 years basically friendless, just alone in a house with parents that spoiled her. This is all to say: don’t let your dreams be dreams 🤩 just do it!

what about the money rebecca made through grading and being a homework mobster? couldn't she just give it to the teacher or something? also WHY was the teacher homeless? she is a teacher, she has a regular income, also she mentioned it so it must have been relevant? i hope there is a second episode, too many questions unanswered and i was legit intrigued
How can a homeless become teacher
Teacher is a lot of work at Home too
Recess in high school is the most unbelievable part to me
Don’t you guys get break time? In the UK, we have a break time after the first two lessons, and a nice long lunch break after the next two lessons, and the day ends after the next two. Our school day starts at 8:30 and ends at 3:35.
In the US, high school starts at 7:55. We have 4 50 minute classes, an advisory (30min) then a 30 minute lunch. After 3 more 50 minute class periods we go home at 3:15. Advisory is like a break that everyone has and teachers can check in with students on grades, we can work on college and career readiness material or just do homework. We can schedule any of those periods to just be a study hall where we can work on whatever, as long as we have enough credits.
we have small breaks inbetween class so like 5ish min passing time and then a lunch break. thoes are our breaks.
@@shyannrulander4352 Did you know your school has the minimum amount of recess legal out of the states, South Carolina, Louisiana, Texas, Connecticut, and Virginia. (Unless you have P.E. every day.

Also we had no break past elementary school! Just lunch!

GOOD QUESTION.
Probably doesn't make enough to buy a house/rent an apartment. Either very low wages or very high food prices
Those newspaper not gonna buy themselves you know ?
Joke aside, this story was most likely fake, (I couldn't imagine it being real) so you can just blame poor writing for those inconsistencies.
Buying newspaper and park benches
Ms Lee: I thought the ad said "METH teacher wanted"!
This is a dumb story but I do empathize with the speech impediment stuff because when I was young I had a speech impediment and had to go to speech therapy because people had a hard time understanding me, it was really bad.
Me too! I really struggled with -th mostly. I think there was something else, but I can't remember anymore
@@samiam5703 I really struggled with words that started with C or K I would pronounce them with a T, for example cat would become tat 😕
The letter R was always a problem for me. I was in speech therapy from kindergarten through high school. It didn't help me at all. It still comes out sounding like a W.
I like the subtitles because I have an audio processing issue. It basically means that, while I can hear, sometimes even words I know can sound like a language I don't understand. Being able to read it means I don't have to skip backward in the video every fifteen seconds to know what's going on.
This story is all over the place. It's wild.
MY PARENTS ARE WORLD FAMOUS ARCHEOLOGISTS and I WAS IN YEAR 7 AS A 10 YEAR OLD and then I WAS BULLIED FOR HAVING A SPEECH IMPEDIMENT and then I STARTED HELPING TEACHERS WITH THEIR WORK and then I FOUND OUT THAT MY TEACHER WAS HOMELESS and then EVERYONE STARTED WORSHIPPING HER!!!
I Thought I Was Perfect: A Tragedy In 4 Parts

Part Four: In Which I Convince My Teacher to Sleep In My Room At Night And The Teacher Doesn't Object Because I Am Soooooo Smart and Nice and Perfect and Everyone Claps

So I actually have real difficulties pronouncing R's, but I never got laughed at for it in school, friends found it funny/cute. Still can't pronounce R's now, friends still find it funny/cute. I never saw a speech therapist because my mum went ballistic at the school for even suggesting it lol.
Sounds like bad parenting tbh
@@blcksvvan Unfortunately, my mother is one of those people who shouldn't have been a mother.
Some kids in my school have difficulties pronouncing r’s and I think it’s adorable ☺️
My parents agreed😔 luckily I still have the speech impediment
I'm from Italy, rhotaricism (which I have) is seen as a simple characteristic of a person, nobody gives a damn apart from the first moment they hear it and go "Oh, you have R moscia" or a few jokes that usually never enter the "bullism" territory.
And she was on the math team and had a good relationship with the math teacher
I want to know WHY MS LEE WAS HOMELESS!!! She made it a point like it was going to lead somewhere
I had a free period my senior year of high school, but that's because I was duel enrolling and college class was an evening class.
Really? We had organized optional sports in recess 8th-10th grade.
In my country that's litterally not allowed,
I had a speech impediment as a child that was caught when I was in second grade. Even so, I still mispronounce words today despite the early catch. It’s kind terrible of the parents to ignore it that long just cause they thought it was cute.
Are we just ignoring the Chuuya cosplay/reference at 8:58 !?
LMAO PLS

The first line was just the beginning of mean girls but 5 years younger-
i actually had a 10 year old friend with this same speech quirk, it didn't sound that baby-ish at all. this story is so exaggerated.

I have the same question
But if her parents were archeologists, wouldn't they be able to teach her better then public school would? If they were famous wouldn't they be able to afford to send her to private school? I, dunno, but as a homeschooler, I can tell you that the few times homeschoolers have been on shows or whatever makes them look like freaks.
This just sounds like the plot of Young Sheldon with extra speech problems.
the whole webecca and ms lee relationship has been sketchy since the beginning tbh. what adult just becomes friends with a child?

Why on earth shouldn't an adult be friends with a child?

WAIT ITS CALLED MATHS LEADS? I thought it was Mathletes 😭😂 was that a Mean Girls reference & they just spelt it differently or is it genuinely always called Maths Leads
When I was in 4th grade my teacher paid me in chocolate to grade things for him after school. Lol
I know teachers don’t make a lot of money and definitely deserve to be paid more (source my mum is a teacher)
but they can at least afford at least rent an apartment or something.
Shoot, people got 15 minute breaks in school? We got maybe 45 minutes for lunch if your previous class let out on time
In primary school we got a break in the morning, lunch hour, then another break in the afternoon. In secondary, we got a 15 minute break after the first two lessons, then a lunch hour. So 2 lessons, break, 2 lessons, lunch, 2 lessons, home. On Friday we only had one lesson after lunch.
Ok so I also graded work for teachers but most of the time we graded papers as a class to go over mistakes and we weren't allowed to grade our own work
This is some serious y/n stuff
8:59 ...unexpected reference lmao
Chuuya lol
"was the bench not comfy enough" She just destroyed Miss Lee
In my area, we don’t even get a “break” past elementary school. We just have lunch. It sucks lol
Ms Lee: *protects Julia after she was a B* "No. I want you to treat her with the same kindness you've shown me"
*Tbh I'd still beat her up-*
11:23 Math Leads. math leads. MATH LEADS.
12:00 Anyone just wanna go to work when they're an adult just to say "Time for recess" at the break time
have you noticed in almost every of these stories they come up with some stupid way to earn money; like this one is marking work and in another one it was reading peoples feelings
That's definitely the Mary Suest thing I've ever seen, so much that we must change the term to "Rebecca" instead
Also Wabecca's parents were at least realistic in their reaction to her sheltering Mrs. Lee
