I unroll my washi tape onto PVC cards (such as old credit cards or gift cards). It allows me to have more rolls of washi tape in a smaller container.
I bought special tape cards, I literally had containers of washi tape, piled up and was hard to use. Now they are stored all together in two long but thing baskets and take up no space at all. Easy to see what washi tape is on what card, and the best part was I wrapped them all while watching TV. Oh wait, best of all is I have room for more washi, and I can easily grab a couple cards to travel with.
This stash is a washi tape dream come true!
"Come back!" I thought of Wizard of Oz: "I can't come back, I don't know how it wooooorks" getting quieter as he gets farther away.
Wonderful destash Jess, so proud of how much you got rid of. I've been destashing mine, because I've learnt quality is better than quantity. It's my dream to one day order from the washi tape shop but it's so expensive.
Over the last 2-3 days I watched the last 2 of your lives on replay (more than 6 hours worth of content) and I just wanted to leave a comment here to let you know how much I love them. Yes I watch them in smaller portions sometimes and yes it would be more fun to be on the live but still it's like you are keeping me company while I get s*#t done. I randomly sing as well when I do stuff or I speak to my washi tapes or pens as they roll away from me, telling them that they are rude or on thin ice. So I feel like we're kindred spirits and you are very good company. I know you are meeting up with people while you are in DC, please if you ever visite Europe please let also do a meet up here. I'd love to say hi in person.

I live in Baltimore, Maryland which is like 2 hours away from DC. It has been unseasonably warmer here in the 50s and 60s. I recommend you can layer clothes. As for meeting up, that is a tricky one in DC. DC is its own kind of politico or touristy vibe.
Im kinda addicted to washi too.. had over 500 the last count. Love all those nude colours.. that is my aesthetic atm. And any washis I declutter I resell. They are usually the ones I bought myself second hand in bulk so obviously I don’t always like all of them.
I'm a teeny bit late to comment for what to save on the maybe pile, but as you keep your going box for a while after decluttering, I'd say to keep all the glitter ones as they form their own rainbow and have them as a sort of office decoration stack with your journal rainbow!

I took a bunch of my washi and made backgrounds both on card bases and on index cards by doing diagonal stripes. I used up lots ofwashi and I have premade backgrounds ready to go. I have found the number of my washy tapes have gotten old and I am no longer able to unroll them
I think you need to separate your ideas washi from the washi you like for your personal stash.
Then organizing your Halloween, seasonal or specific holiday separate within your personal would make it easier to make choices as you are creating.

I was gonna make a washi swatch page in my long term collections journal that has a sample of the tape and then put where I got it from so that I know where to repurchase it

The washi tape as borders to make crisp lines. I tried that once... hated doing that. I won't buy washi tape or accept washi tape because I have very particular tastes and limited space.
Stickers on the other hand.... because I can use them with *everything* are harder not to have a lot of. 😅

Why'd you hate using washi as a border?
Some of the washi tape that I've bought from AliExpress have Washi Tape Shop packaging. Idk if the Washi Tape Shop re-sells from AliExpress or if vendors from AliExpress re-sell from the Washi Tape Shop
If you still need to destash your washi stash I would gladly take some off your hands for you. All of mine was in storage and got ruined from the heat.

How much do the washytape cost
Really depends on the roll and where it's from! 😄 The ones from The Washi Tape Shop are my more expensive ones (but much better quality) while the ones from AliExpress / Wish are much cheaper but also lower quality 💜
Where do you get the acrylic dispenser's for the washi tape? I'd like to try them.
I have too much Washi tape and never know what to do with it, maybe a video on how to use it or have you already done that?
