That's true for almost every Mario game! I love that Nintendo took such a solid, simple concept and added so much to it.
***** When the Japanese version came out, it didn't have some of the sounds that the U.S and PAL versions do. When Nintendo released a Japanese version that supported the rumble pack, the old sound from V1.0 Japanese version were replaced with the North America/Europe sounds, and the missing sounds were finally put into that Japanese release.

We used to have this console; sadly it’s gone. We used to own a bunch of N64 games, except “Super Mario 64.” Now for mentioning “Super Mario 64,” I’ve been playing “Super Mario Odyssey” on the Switch since the game’s 1st anniversary when I recently bought myself a Switch. Upon playing, and at Mushroom Kingdom, I didn’t know there were such many references to “Super Mario 64” and “Super Mario Sunshine” (which we also never owned ever since my parents bought us a former GameCube). I just felt like Nintendo spoiled everything for me because my parents never got us Mario 64 and Sunshine in our time. I just realized that I’m actually playing a game that looks like the game we never played in our time. Sorry, but we grew up primarily with “Mario Kart 64” “Pokémon Snap,” and then the first three Mario Party games for N64 (the first two were the best; 3rd ok). Missing this console very much I’m sure they have as many old consoles at my local flea market.

We used to have this console; sadly it’s gone. We used to own a bunch of N64 games, except “Super Mario 64.”
Now for mentioning “Super Mario 64,” I’ve been playing “Super Mario Odyssey” on the Switch since the game’s 1st anniversary when I recently bought myself a Switch. Upon playing, and at Mushroom Kingdom, I didn’t know there were such many references to “Super Mario 64” and “Super Mario Sunshine” (which we also never owned ever since my parents bought us a former GameCube). I just felt like Nintendo spoiled everything for me because my parents never got us Mario 64 and Sunshine in our time. I just realized that I’m actually playing a game that looks like the game we never played in our time.
Sorry, but we grew up primarily with “Mario Kart 64” “Pokémon Snap,” and then the first three Mario Party games for N64 (the first two were the best; 3rd ok). Missing this console very much I’m sure they have as many old consoles at my local flea market.
