The old man in the music video is Peter Capaldi who played Doctor Who and has played other roles in movies as well, he is actually the second cousin once removed from the guy who is singing the song Lewis Capaldi. As you can tell this is a very emotional song, the other music video version is even more riveting where it actually has him in it directly.
The actor in the video is Peter Capaldi, the 12th Doctor Who, Lewis Capaldi's 2nd cousin once removed. Also, you probably remember the song because Daughtry sang it as the Rottweiler on the Masked Singer, which you reacted to recently.
I’m a transplant recipient, 2 years post, this video makes me cry every time! Bless all donors and their families! 💚💚💚 April is also donate life month.
This reaction was the hardest to get through without breaking me down and it felt like someone stabbed me emotionally. The reason I felt that way was because of certain events that happened that are hard to get through to this day. It's just not easy.
This song breaks me up too. The first time I heard it was when my daughters and I had picked up their father's ashes and cleared out his apartment. I was trying to comfort them. This song came on and the girls were singing it and crying because they missed their dad. He died suddenly and it was a shock for them. It was the first time my middle daughter could cry after he died the week before.
He wrote the song about his ex paige Turley and she left him for his friend and then she went on a dating show, this is when he changed the narrative to losing his nan x
I feel you, man. It is impossible for me to watch this video and not feel the depths of the lyrics and the pain this man experienced when his soul mate passed away.
I love this song because of how deep it is. And surprisingly this is the first time I've seen the video. It just made it that much more emotional of a song.
The song itself is beautiful. The video makes it a one in a decade work of art. Hats off to the director with the foreshadowing, the fact that the main character passed his wifes heart while he was walking in the park, the way the little girl put the heart as her mom's body. The fact that the woman who has the heart instantly lets him touch her chest to feel how strong it is and how part of his wife is still alive. Ughhhh, I promise I'm cutting onions for dinner up in here
I’ve just discovered this song and I’ve been bawling my eyes out through this whole video. It hit me hard and made me realise a few things about myself and my life. Wow, literally this has changed my life in 4 minutes. A very powerful song (and video)
It’s not in a movie, but you have heard this song before, because the Rottweiler sang it on the Masked Singer video you watched. I highly recommend Let It Roll or any other song by Lewis Capaldi, talented guy.
The older man is Peter Capaldi he played the Doctor in Doctor Who. Him and Lewis are cousins (like once removed or something) I love this song and that video just made it hit soooo hard. I was totes crying!
I love this video as to the other one. This song can have so many meaning, and this one is about the loss of a loved one. I love the story being told in the video. A man loses the love of his life, and through organ transplants another man didnt lose the love of his life, the mother of a child and that his wife lives on in another woman. and he goes through days just listening to his wife heartbeats. That is how he gets through each day.
This is the first time I’ve actually listened to the lyrics. I’ve heard a couple of people sing it but just didn’t listen lyrically. I am squalling right now, typing through my tears. The video made it bitter sweet. Sad they are gone but grateful their heart is beating in someone else’s chest.
All my parts are going to be donated if by some twist of fate I don't need them any more... Knowing I could help so many people with my parts and a bit of me will still be here helping folks makes it a tiny bit less scary. My family know. I really hope folks out there do the same, and if you've chosen to, make sure the people who matter know. Love and hugs from Scotland
Beautiful song! The first time I heard it was from the Rottweiler (Chris Daughtry) on "The Masked Singer." (I think I like Chris's version a little better.)
This song is so hard for me to listen to. It makes me cry almost every time. Your reaction(or lack there of) was pretty much what I expected. A song that gives me the same feeling is Be Alright By Dean Lewis. You should check it out if you haven't.
Sometimes It would be easier in the moment to give up and step in front of the train...but we do the impossibly hard and brave thing and keep going to honor someone who loves us or who we love. It's all about finding strength from love...and I cry ever time. No apology needed.
I lost my dad when he was 50,same year my aunt at 54 and then the same year my husband at 35. Twelve years later I lost my Mom and her mom( my gma) 10 days apart. Thank God 9 years after my husband passed I found a wonderful man,but God knows I'm afraid of losing anyone else. I have three adult kiddos that were way too young to lose all those people too. The song itself doesn't get me as much as this video. It tears me up!!! Much love to all and please remember to tell anyone and everyone that you love that you do love them as often as possible. ❤😢😢
I had to pause this video of you watching it. I thought the song was about someone leaving him, I never knew it was so sad! And now you almost have me sobbing in the middle of work! Thank you so much for that.
I love this song! My little brother, who's 13, sings the chorus all the time and I've learned the lyrics so I can sing it with him... Love this song, love it, love it!
Check out Lewis Capaldi "Grace" and "Tough (Live). His whole album, "Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent" is worth a long listen, many many times. It's Awesome!
when you said "this man ain't about to walk in front of the train, is he?" i literally said "oh it's soo much worse" and then at the end you said "Now i kinda wish he would've walked in front of the train" I was like "yep"
Loooooove this song and his voice, yes it’s very emotional, I’ve seen some of them on Tik Tok with orioles real videos and it’s sad with their stories. I cry when I see it every time.
I'm sinking a little everyday and have no one to share my sadness. No one that understands my pain with my loss. I hurt Billy. Some us just have to deal with some very deep pain along with loneliness.
Oh Never watched the video before Now I'm truly heart broken My beautiful empathetic little girl Wow I always thought this was a break up song, but with this sad poignant video, I'm emotional
I kept hearing this song on the stupid Smule ads and so it just annoyed the heck out of me and I never listened to it or watched the music video. Now I’m sitting here bawling my eyes out. Such a beautiful story.
It doesn't seem that anyone has commented on the fact that the older gentleman is listening to his wife's heartbeat on his headphones!
Good catch. What film is this?
That his cousin Peter capaldi the actor check him out as doctor who
This is a video for being a transplant donor for the NHS in the uk, there is another video for this song with Lewis in it.
@@charliestewart1283 i noticed that just now. i don’t know why i never thought about them being related
I love Peter Capaldi. His face when she puts his hand over her heart....not a word spoken but you can read his face like a book. Incredible actor❤
Peter Capaldi was my favourite actor to play Doctor Who. He brought so much character and emotion to the role
I thought that's who that was! I was like, "Is that The Doctor", and sure enough.
I was today years old when I realized The Doctor was in this music video😂
So we just not gonna talk about how he said “now I kinda just wish he walked in front of the train”😂😂
And then followed it with this song makes me feel like I walked in front of a train 😂
He's actually rude
@@samadsharafks we'll to be fair he's right because then you never felt the pain.
Man I was in my feels then he said that and I bust out laughing
@@samadsharafks He's not rude. He's got a great 'sense of humour.'

I didn't even think they might be related til I spotted him in this video. That's some cool info
And Peter can shred.
I always wondered if they were related just never took the time to check. Thanks lol
See above! The Capaldi people have a lot of talent.
Don't feel bad, Billy. Got me too. Took a while to listen to it and be strong.
I’m a transplant recipient, 2 years post, this video makes me cry every time! Bless all donors and their families! 💚💚💚 April is also donate life month.
This is the best song to come out in a long time. I still cry when I hear it.
Billy, the fact that you are a man, a veteran, a father, and these songs can grab you... it shows strength, not weakness.
we all bawled watching this video, don't worry babe. it just gets you every time. Peter Capaldi (the grey-haired actor) is just phenomenal
This reaction was the hardest to get through without breaking me down and it felt like someone stabbed me emotionally. The reason I felt that way was because of certain events that happened that are hard to get through to this day. It's just not easy.

😢😢😢
Rest in peace
Peter (the actor in the video) is Lewis' second (or third) cousin. The video/song is for organ donations. Proceeds were/went to charity.
He wrote the song about his ex paige Turley and she left him for his friend and then she went on a dating show, this is when he changed the narrative to losing his nan x
No the proceeds did NOT go to charity
lee G it did
This was done for a campaign for the Live Life Give Life charity here.
We ALL have been here though in a way havent we? This was a song we played at my Fathers funeral. I feel ya Billy
I feel you, man. It is impossible for me to watch this video and not feel the depths of the lyrics and the pain this man experienced when his soul mate passed away.

I love this song because of how deep it is. And surprisingly this is the first time I've seen the video. It just made it that much more emotional of a song.
This song breaks me every time with visuals. This one or the other.

Always makes me bawl. That kicks ya right in the throat.
I really feel you on this one - I hadn't listened too closely to it before and now I'm ALL up in my feels 😭
I’ve just discovered this song and I’ve been bawling my eyes out through this whole video. It hit me hard and made me realise a few things about myself and my life. Wow, literally this has changed my life in 4 minutes. A very powerful song (and video)

Yep, my reaction too. Each line tears at my heart little by little. Ouch! His voice is that damn good!
The older man is Peter Capaldi he played the Doctor in Doctor Who. Him and Lewis are cousins (like once removed or something) I love this song and that video just made it hit soooo hard. I was totes crying!
Teddy does a righteous job with this song,, no acted out video, makes it easier not to lose it.
Pause.. breathe.. pause.. breathe.. and then the little girl delivers the knockout punch with her picture 😭😭😭
Song gets me emotional every single time 😭. Lewis is amazing . You need to listen to more from him ❤️
I cried too, she got her heart

Hey man thanks for the reaction video I played the dad in the video and it’s great to see it still getting love.. peace x
brilliant comment Billy....'now I feel like I just walked in front of a train.'
Not the walk in front of the train line 💀😭😂
The other video for this song gets me every time! Also when Daughtry sang it on the masked singer!!!
This guy is called the male adele.♥️🔥✌️👍
I cry over this song every time but when you said “now I wish he would have just walked in front of the train I died.” 😆

Billy, you got the point and your heart is the same as his.Thank you for your presentation.
Your comment about walking in front of the train is really how some people feel after bereavement..
Knocked it out of the park - as always. Love your videos and Lewis Capaldi is amazing. All of his music if phenomenal
Everytime I see this music video I get emotional and have to pause it, collect myself, and come back to it.
The other one that gets me is "Goodbyes" by Post Malone. Also try "I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way" by Aaron Tippin if you haven't already.
Billy,you are adorable watching this...😘
Beautiful song! The first time I heard it was from the Rottweiler (Chris Daughtry) on "The Masked Singer." (I think I like Chris's version a little better.)
I love watching your vids and I just wanna say thank you for your service.

This is a beautifully deep song. Love love love
I dare anyone to watch this video without crying as this video gets me every damn time
I lost my dad when he was 50,same year my aunt at 54 and then the same year my husband at 35. Twelve years later I lost my Mom and her mom( my gma) 10 days apart. Video of this song that gets me is the one that has Peter Capaldi (Dr. Who) and Clara Oswald.
I had to pause this video of you watching it. I thought the song was about someone leaving him, I never knew it was so sad! And now you almost have me sobbing in the middle of work! Thank you so much for that.

Such a beautiful song. 😿

If you like this try
Somebody to die for -hurts
Its the opposite TONE of this but very similar
Its like the other side of the same Coin.
He’s listening to his wife’s heartbeat.😭
While that song makes me cry everytime - it is beautiful because his wife's death saved another person's life - there's a painful beauty to it.
Was actually hoping you would do this song. But can you please also do the ones who didn’t make it back home by Justin Moore
Before you go and Bruises are also bangers by Lewis Capaldi
I kept hearing this song on the stupid Smule ads and so it just annoyed the heck out of me and I never listened to it or watched the music video. Now I’m sitting here bawling my eyes out. Such a beautiful story.
Love the hat bills nation
The man in the video was listening to her heart beat the whole time... I am not ok.
I saw a different music video with this song. I can't find this one anywhere.
