    I found that my ancestors the Rumphs were among the 1st immigrant settlers in Orangeburg. David Rumph Sr owned a few thousand acres of land North, West. South and parts of St George. His Son in law James Aplleby owned 2409 acres all over Walterboro. The were all rice planters and owned about 100 slaves. I'm saddened by this. Ugh but wonderful presentation
