This is the last of the choreo done by Team Switch. Their next Choreographer is still with them today. For music videos, Dreamcatcher has always used big production houses. Digipedi, Zanybros and Sunny Visual. But there is a significant budget increase past here. This is also around the time when HappyFace restructured and their side of the company became Dreamcatcher Company (the other side being D1CE Company). As for Breaking Out, this is the musical link between July 7th and BOCA.
Breaking out is one of my favorite songs of theirs, its a perfect song when ur feeling down or working out. It hits hard and the MV looks are fire as always. DC dance practices are a must-watch their coreo is always so dynamic and the synchronization is insane u can see they just spend so much time practicing, u dont get that in synch with others unless u have spend years and years dancing/practicing together. I have seen a lot of people react to the Japanese releases without getting their videos pulled. I'm not sure "why" but it seems to be okay. Their JP releases all tend to be heavier with Endless Night and No More being their heaviest tracks for sure. They don't have too many unique Japanese tracks but they're all really good and worth reacting to. I think your interpretation of Breaking Out is pretty accurate. In Piri they were together, but they were still trapped, in Breaking Out, they've managed to finally break the curse and escape. I'm looking forward to your uploads every day now, lol. I know it's not sustainable, but I appreciate all the work you're putting into this.

I don't know what's better. Long hair blonde Siyeon or short hair blonde Siyeon, lol. Also I didn't see it on your masterlist, but Japanese PIRI MV hits differently. In a good way. Give it a shot, if you ever have some time. The beauty of the dance practices are when they just have that static shot and no shift. I also prefer that. The beginning of this dance is so satisfying and one of my favorite. That "wave" move that you were talking about is usually called a "canon" or a "ripple" effect. If you pay close attention, Dreamcatcher choreos have a lot of those. I don't think I"m the only one who giggled at the slow lag pan to DAMI, like even the camera person got confused on who to pan to in "And there was no one left" The best part of that all the members have no facial expressions. The serial killer stare is so funny. Ah "Breaking Out" the other older sister of "BOCA". The stutter melodies in the chorus hit differently and in a good way. Siyeon killed it and was serving looks in the whole video. DAMI's rap is also really great. I enjoy it when she doesn't try to rap hard and just vibes with the flow of the song. The choreo for this one is so satisfying to watch. I think you would really enjoy watching it. I hope if you decide to watch more dance practices of theirs that you add this one. They "tutting" in this one which is a style of dance where they make very solid angles in the movement. You get a little glimpse of it here and there, but it needs a full watch. The lines and angles and synchronicity in this dance practise makes such a nice clean picture. I hope you add their other Japanese dance practice "I Miss You", which is just as clean and in sync, and "Endless NIght" to the list too. If not that's ok, but please do watch them on your own time. Will not regret it. I'm one that hopes you will react to their Japanese stuff, but I totally understand taking a break and spreading it out once you're done with the deep dive. I'm just happy you have been sucked into the blackhole that is Dreamcatcher and becoming an InSomnia and enjoying your journey so far.

As I've mentioned somewhere in one of the previous videos, according to SuA, Breaking Out is the real ending to Nightmare series. I think the reason it's said to be alternate ending, is due to the track being a Japanese track. I believe in SuA as breaking out being the finale to Nightmare Series. For me, it's the end of their Nightmare era, and start with new era at the same time using their Japanese debut with Breaking Out.

breaking out is one of my favourite choreos. it's pretty intricate, and i like how much mirroring is done between jiu/sua and dami/yoohyeon, who are same aged friends, and the mv has the red string of fate. just really good added touches
On Breaking Out, I tend to see the red thread as Fate, rather than the spider's web. It is very moving once you really have gone into the entire Nightmare series. But a lot of people don't like it on first listen.

Nice job pointing out the lines and the circle in their choreo. I recently saw a post showing that they have used a circle formation (which is not common) a few times. Their choreos are always interesting. I don't know exactly what 'the magic ingredient' is. Might be that they always have A LOT of transitions, or how smooth they transition, or that they always paint nice pictures. If you are interested, their main choreographer Sooyeon has done 2 interviews on the Chooda channel where she explains the Scream and Vision choreos. (sidenote, I very much appreciate it that you now pause between videos 👍)

Breaking Out is such a bop, their Japanese songs are SUPER heavy. I don't think Breaking Out even compares to the others. You definitely have to react. Their Japanese album /The Beginning Of The End/ is mostly Japanese versions of existing songs, but there are a couple that are original besides Breaking Out called "My Way～この道の先へ～" and "I MISS YOU." Then they've released the Japanese singles "Endless Night" (standalone) and /Eclipse/ EP with three original songs, the title being their first official anime OP. I've seen other people react to them so I believe you should be fine! In terms of avoiding using the filter, maybe people mean just mirroring the video? Not sure if that works though, hopefully someone with a definite answer will reply soon!

In my two years of watching reaction videos i have never heard of someone getting blocked from a Dreamcatcher video, even japanese songs, mnet and the other cb stages? yeah they can give you even a strike so it's ok to keep being careful about that, about the content in Japanese as I remember most of them are versions of previous songs but in Japanese and that's it, although Piri has a video with different scenes, but I would tell you that you could go with the Eclipse album and add only "My way" and "I miss you". Ahh to finish with my thoughts on this video I will say that Siyeon's always stare directly into our souls 🥴

Breaking Out is the ending, not an alternate ending. I'm not the one saying that, Sua is the one who said it. At the end they have overcome Fate (the red threads) and have reunited in a circle which represents the Buddhist concept of samsara and the wheel of existence (Bhavacakra). Everyone lives, dies, and is reborn in an endless cycle as they move from a primitive state of existence to a higher one. The curse took the girls out of that cycle and doomed them to an unchanging existence on earth forever. That is the true horror of the curse. At the end they are free to ascend to the Afterlife which in Korean mythology is a sort of waiting room where memories are erased so they can be reborn into a new life with a clean slate to try and become better people. The only way out of this eternal cycle is to reach enlightenment. One of the basic attributes of the enlightened is compassion for all living things. That means no killing of anything, even spiders, no matter how creepy they may be.

I heard the highlight medley for the new album today. With Leez leaving, I was quite apprehensive, but then thought new blood may be a good thing. Tracks three and four after the title are a blast from what I heard.😢

For Japanese songs- My way, I miss you, Endless Night, Eclipse, don’t light my Fire and no more at least as they are the original Japanese tracks.
Handong won’t be in Endless Night or No More because they correlate with when she was in China for Scream and Boca Era’s. The first Japanese comeback is the only one connected to a story.

You would be correct on there, it's not on the master list but on the new list! I'm trying to keep the members solo playlists to just one during the deep dive. I have so much more stuff coming after the Deep Dive is done!

In my two years of watching reaction videos i have never heard of someone getting blocked from a Dreamcatcher video, even japanese songs, mnet and the other cb stages? yeah they can give you even a strike so it's ok to keep being careful about that, about the content in Japanese as I remember most of them are versions of previous songs but in Japanese and that's it, although Piri has a video with different scenes, but I would tell you that you could go with the Eclipse album and add only "My way" and "I miss you". Ahh to finish with my thoughts on this video I will say that Siyeon's always stare directly into our souls 🥴

Breaking Out is the ending, not an alternate ending. I'm not the one saying that, Sua is the one who said it. At the end they have overcome Fate (the red threads) and have reunited in a circle which represents the Buddhist concept of samsara and the wheel of existence (Bhavacakra). Everyone lives, dies, and is reborn in an endless cycle as they move from a primitive state of existence to a higher one. The curse took the girls out of that cycle and doomed them to an unchanging existence on earth forever. That is the true horror of the curse. At the end they are free to ascend to the Afterlife which in Korean mythology is a sort of waiting room where memories are erased so they can be reborn into a new life with a clean slate to try and become better people. The only way out of this eternal cycle is to reach enlightenment. One of the basic attributes of the enlightened is compassion for all living things. That means no killing of anything, even spiders, no matter how creepy they may be.
