This genre of fragances needs more popularity, I'm tired of smelling cinnabon-vanilla cake on everyone. PlatiumEgoist, Declaration and also RL SilverRomance ... the trio of metallic-fresh masterpieces.
¡¡¡Dang, you are brilliant !!! You've gotten to the point where you buy the smallest bottle size presentable just makes PERFECT sense 💯 Owning over 300 bottles before I had to tell myself "No more! I will never wear them all,." I have since missed out on a few really intriguing colognes, but boundaries are set for good reasons.
I certainly didn’t like Cartier declaration at first, until the parfum version hit the scene, actually didn’t appreciate it upon first application at the store, then went straight back and bought it after it hit me that this is actually amazing,, now I own a bunch of flankers. I even scored a bottle of the new declaration edp that I’m not sure you can even find yet to this day. Dillards had it sitting on the shelf, I tried it, loved it and then she told me it wasn’t accessible yet just for sampling. Then I begged and pleaded with the cosmetics manager and she sold me the second tester bottle she had in her store room. It’s quite amazing and highly recommended searching for if you love the scent profile.. thanks for the video!! Great content as always Sir 🫶
I am SO glad you left this comment…and I’m upset because I had NO idea about Declaration EDP. It completely went over my head. I’m so upset about that lol, not sure how and when I would have heard about it if you didn’t say anything because no one else seems to talk about Cartier on RUclips. Just purchased a bottle online!
@ just now saw your reply 🤦♂️ . Have you gotten yours yet? I might very well be the first person to own a bottle in the US.. I got lucky in scoring mine so easily. The ladies at Dillards must Love me.. . To this day or at least last time I checked ,.. was some time last week , . they had removed it from the back wall shelves where it was sitting. It to me is the least cumin (y) of the declaration line. Which will be more appealing to the majority of people. Ima call it the declaration gateway . The whole line is seemingly addictive . I own over 400 bottles and I keep reaching for the declaration’s in my collection more than anything lately. Do you have or have you tried Jo Malone Dark Amber & Ginger Lilly?? Older release from 08 or 09 . No one talks much about Jo Malone either but truly deserve some love. Also the new Tom Ford’s Bois pacifique. Maybe misspelled but that one’s also very nice & worth checking out if you have not yet.
Baldessarini!!! Amazing smell. Never thought I would see it on a channel like this. One of my aunts bought it for my brother when he was growing up. I would steal it all the time lol
I’m glad you returned to Ormonde Jayne Man - I like much more than the various Montabaco-titled fragrances that have been much more hyped on RUclips lately. I like those, too… but I don’t think they’ve done better than Man. (Admittedly they have way more than I have tried, and seem not to slow down…)
Love this series and would love to see more. Les troi-zi-em Homme, not familiar for it. Eau Sauvage is lovely, they changed the formulation a bit in the new release but it is still has the same DNA tried the edt and liked it very much, but I think I'll grab the EDP later. I smelled both Declaration and Narcissio for him and honestly Declaration is to me way more more elegant. For some reason Narcissio fragrances have a sweet element that I don't like that much. Baldessarini EDC! Wow, I went through a bottle 15 years ago, and then I never saw it again. I always wished it was more long lasting because the scent profile is just lovely. Egoiste is nice but I prefer the original Egoiste. 1872 is a timeless classic and one of the pioneer niche perfumes.
Happy New Year Justin! Moderns and aromatic fragrances are the best on my opinion! Green Irish Tweed is a 10/10! Some of these frangrances are hard to find outside of USA! Awesome stuff anyway!
Cartier Declaration; a masterpiece and absolute love of mine. One of the fragrances that got me going on my fragrance journey. I wore this and Lacoste Essential in my final year of undergrad. For perspective, I'm almost 40 but these two fragrances? Love them for life; and yes, I own the Narciso Rodriguez. My wife has a very sensitive fragrance nose so I had to find a balance😁
Nice selection! Sables from Goutal will make 40 years in 2025 and is for me one of those beautiful masculine scents that are still worthy! I also would add Rauque by Roberto Greco, it comes 2023, but Christopher Sheldrake really make an amazing work bringing a true masculine perfume with kinda vintage vibe, really really interesting in nowadays fragrance landscape, hope you can smell this one!
I would so much love to see you review Amouage - Dia Man. It is a green / powdery / oriental cardamom-bomb with vetiver, and slightly citric vibes. Almost like a niche-version of La Nuit de L'Homme (EdT). The Vintage Version of it (beige plastic cap) feels a beet more old-fashioned and classic manly/masculine, the new Version (Silver Cap) a bit more sweet, sensual and dark. If you can appreciate stuff like Declaration, La Nuit, and Green Irish Tweed, it's almost a no-brainer. For a Person who can appreciate scents like you do, an experience FOR SURE. :) Thank you for the awesome video, loved the vintage-ey line-up. Kindest greetings! :)
I completely agree about 1872 - brilliant fragrance. Ironically it's the maximum vibe that I struggle with when trying to wear it. Like, most of life seems too normal to wear it. I think I'll finally be able to confidently wear it when I'm getting married :)... Total spring wedding in a blue tux vibe
Excellent choices! I reallllyyyyyy like Dior Eau Sauvage EDT. I liked it so much i sampled the edp and it is not nearly the same not nearly as versatile. Have you tried the intense? Is it good?
Great video bro. You seem like you truly just enjoy the art behind fragrances and not simply how good/attractive they make you smell. What do you think of Replica By The Fireplace? I’m looking for a good fall and winter fragrance that I can wear daily, that is not too spicy, and has good longevity but not a lot of projection. I was also thinking of Prada l’homme Intense. You have any other recommendations?
@@stayfreshproductionsI have! I bought a sample and really like it, but it’s very sweet, and I don’t know if that’s very mass appealing. Do you think I should try Prada l’homme intense before buying a bottle of By The Fireplace?
@johnrock3560 I don’t think you need a sample of the Prada, unless you really want to try it. But if you already know you really like the Margiela, then just get it. You can’t control what other people like, so just worry about wearing what you love.
I just can't seem to like Green Irish Tweed, although I tried several times. I would love to see this concept again but with either spring/summer fragrances or (for me maybe even better) your best citrus/bergamote fragrances
Yes Sir! Declaration de Cartier gotta love it! Was my signature scent for years, along with Dolce &Gabbana Pour Homme. I recently learned about the Declaration de Cartier Parfum, and I felt in love with it at the first smell. So I got that one instead, just for a variation. 🫠
Hi Justin hope you're doing good. I never see you talk about Chanel Antaeus, which ,for me at least, fits this very fragrance genre/vibe treated in this video (also other videos 'cuz you love your fougeres, like I do, and bring them up all the time). Have you tried it ever? What's your opinion on it?
Green Irish tweed just disappears on my nose after the initial whiff… i dunno why… i can’t even smell it off my clothes or body even if my nose is completely fresh. Normally, when I change my shirt in the evening, I get a lingering smell of the drydown of the perfume I wore that day (which is a nice comforting thing for me). With GIT- Nothing. Maybe just my bottle is a dud?
You might be going nose blind to it while wearing it. Maybe spray it only on the back of your neck and sides of your neck behind your ears, and see if you can detect it better through the day.
If you like Ormonde Man, I was so surprised at how much it starts off very similar to Amouage Memoir Man! They are different but in the same wheelhouse. I ended up meeting Linda Pilkington when I visited the Jayne boutique in London!
Hey Justin I was wondering have you tried Le Barbier de Tanger by MDCI Parfums? It's a super masculine niche aromatic fougere similar to 1872 and Platinum Egoiste. Been watching you for a couple of years now and appreciate how authentic and real you are. Anyways hope you check it out! Have a good one!
@@stayfreshproductions aha fair play. I’ve been after Eau Sauvage for ages. Green Irish Tweed arrived today. Looking forward to wearing it. I enjoy your videos, keep up the good work!
I’d love to see a new release from Chanel for men. Something actually new that can stand on its own and isn’t part of the bleu or allure lineup. Superleggera is the newest I think and that doesn’t count. That drop sucked.
I'm rocking, Lapidus Pour Homme today. It came out years ago, and it's still an easy grab for me. 1987 release. Thanks, Justin. 🤝🏾🇺🇸💪🏾🫡
Sarting with a real classic from Caron! Bravo Justin, I’ve loved this one since the 80s! Still have an old first gen empty bottle. By the way, 3e means « the third man » 😊
Happy New Year Justin... yes!!! Please do a modern classic masculine fragrance
Stay tuned!

My chose is Cartier Deklaration, Fahrenheit Parfum and Dior homme original
If you mention Green Irish Tweed, you might as well add Bois Du Portugal.
Might as well.
I would also recommend Moustache original 1949 (edt) kind of a perfect barbershop fragrance from Edmond Roudniska (very different from the edp)
the edt concentree?
Just the edt, the name is Moustache Original 1949 (not Moustache- yes it is confusing 😅), great thing is that the formulation is the same as in 1949

The Eau Sauvage DNA is very different from the Terre D’Hermes DNA!
