This game was crazy good, at first i was like "Bode is definitely a spy.. mentioned his daughter? Yeah hes workin for the empire" to "okay why would he risk his life like that maybe i can trust him" then eventually "i definitely trust him now hes a good guy" and man when I tell I yelled "DAMMIT I KNEW IT" when they revealed he was a spy, then i was genuinely SHOCKED when he force pushed Cal
I was counting down every time he was on screen since the first interaction. Every time he spoke I'm like. Hmmm that's some shit a person who will turn at the drop of a hat would say. Hmmm you still with us damn bro what are you going to do??!! Then when we kill Dagon I'm like ok the next big thing. Oh now you don't want to talk or have a prompt to talk in the bar or on Jedah. I know it's happening. Shoots the guy I'm like finally... then force pushed me and I'm like 😮 wtf!!!!!
Also how did Cal not notice Bode was a Jedi? It was never explained on how Bode avoided being discovered. I did not catch on that he was going to betray me until the end, I just thought cal and bode were because Bode was one of the only peeps to live in the beginning cutscene.
I played with long hair at the end as well, trying to show call was messed up. And I putted the “exiled” rob with red colors and it was sick, with black BD and black lightsaber with an orange saber. The ending was amazing.
I didn't know i was aggressive with BD by my side, this fight humbled me a lot. It's easy to fight with lots of stims but it's different when you have none.

Really wish there was an alternate ending. Especially since it doesn’t make sense that Cal loses to Bode who hasn’t used a saber in years. At least with Trilla it made sense since Cal was the one out of practice there.
Was also about to put this, but at the same time Cal was probably too overcome by shock and rage to focus properly which would be why he got his clock cleaned that easily. Doesn't explain him needing Merrin's help on Tanalorr though, he should've regained most of his composure by then and absolutely mopped the floor with him since Bode would've had maybe a matter of hours to effectively practice using a weapon he hadn't wielded in like 15 years or something.
@jonolivier9126 And by that point we started to "embrace Kals darkness" which is the greatest thing EVER!!! Really gives us some easily displayed visuals of us getting more powerful. The way you crush droids like Luke does in Mando S2? Epic.

Really I thought the daughter had to be real cause he spoke like he understood cal’s feelings towards Merrin plus a family is the best kinda leverage to have over a person for the empire
As soon as he didn't respond to the "may the force be with you" cal said to him at the end of the first mission I knew he'd betray him somehow, just wasn't sure when and was still surprised he was a jedi
Yeah! I remember being a little confused by that when I heard it. A Jedi saying that to a person is SERIOUS. It's like a hard-core Christian saying, "God bless you." You know they mean it. It's rude not to respect that. That's what I thought of Bode at first: what a rude guy! Well, we know how that turned out.
I think this is one of the better "you loose in the cutscene" fights and so is the one with Vader. It's all in the framing and at this point even though Bode's betrayal had been teased to no end, I felt so blindsided that I was sure Cal would loose this because he'd be just as unbalanced by the situation as I was. It also helps that I actually lost, but taking the healing away and making it a real quick fight with no redos also really helped to not make me feel like my effort was wasted or I was denied something I had earned through gameplay, I could just let the emotions do their things.
I died multiple times in the game but somehow managed to beat him fairly easy by dodging most of his attacks, so I had no idea that dying here was also scripted
I think we all knew the ending to this fight was scripted based off the section after it. I do find it funny how there's at least one of these fights in both Jedi games. In Fallen Order, it was the Second Sister and I think the Ninth Sister iirc. Here, it's Bode.
Bode had the entire Hidden Path base killed. And Cere. And Cordova. He almost killed Cal, too. And he used "fatherhood" to excuse all of that. Murder is murder. Killing Bode was a satisfying end to the game. The only sadness anyone should be feeling is for the innocent kid that was left an orphan.
I got a glitch with the purity perk where I killed him at the same time it killed me, and it had me respawn at the last checkpoint, and when I tried to do it again, the animation didnt play
Playing jedi survivor i had the only question. Why the fuck is the Bode that strong? I mean, to the moment of second duel with him Cal's at the apogee of his might and has the strength of the dark side when Bode didn't hold the lightsaber and didn't use force for years, he was supposed to loose much easily. It doesn't make sense.
I noticed that why is Bode's blaster projectiles blue and not red? Also why did he give us the blaster with red projectiles? couldn't he have just kept the red one and given us the blue one if he was goung to embrace the darkside?😅
The power levels don't make sense. Cal defeated Inquistors, he defeated a Gen'dai "that took many of his [Cal's] kind [Jedi] to defeat him". He defeated the one Jedi who was powerful enough to defeat that Gen'dai in one on one combat But some dude who didn't touch a lightsaber for a full decade and who hasn't fought a real lightsaber duel against a darksider in his life BODIES Cal? I call cap.
The next game the power scaling and also the cut scenes needs to be more polished. whenever you enter a cutscene the game stops for 0.5 sec. whenver you enter a cutscene the camera should follow all the way like in Spider-Man 2 or even Fallen Order.
He doesn't exactly "switch to the dark side". The saber is red because it's Dagan Gera's. After this scene, Bode's databank entry mentions that he's carrying Dagan's saber.
Clean. I know this is a nitpick but I refuse to use spot dodge. Parrying is harder more satisfying and I absolutely hate watching sabers move literally through the cals chest but do nothing. It shatters my immersion
