the three versions of the Ez-SR are a homage to the Sunrise mecha anime Metal Armor Dragonar's three protagonists mecha: Intruder = Dragonar-1 Eliminator = Dragonar-2 Shadow Phantom = Dragonar-3
the amount of difficult it must be to get all 3 of these guys nowadays. good lord At least Snibal Drago Gira was a team of SDs so they are easier to afford. I got lucky and found all 3 for $15
When I built this kit last year I had to buy 3 more because it is a great HG kit. I had to have all 3 fully built on display and 1 in the back log for a potential kit bash. Plus it's great to customize, scribe, re shape, and paint. A great kit if you can find it at a reasonable price.
This kit is awesome because you can ignore the 3 forms and simply mix and match their parts to create your own unique variation, just like the characters from the original show. I was actually in a group build for that kit. Very fun stuff
I bought three of these back in 2019 so I could create a full team. I even used EFSF waterslides on their chestplates in order to give them an "elite fighting force" aesthetic. What's missing, though, is extra weathering to make them appear that they have fought in a great battle. The fact that I essentially brought the same product three times was a moot point, as the purchase was worth it. 😄 I meant to submit my trio of Ez-SR's to a local Gundam competition last year, but *ahem* COVID pretty much cancelled the event. 😟
I've had this kit for a while, its an awesome kit so so many extra parts. The feet were a little loose for me but they tightened up fine with some extra effort.
WOW This is a fantastic HG kit. I'm not usually one for HGBF kits but this is definitely worth it just for the redesign, accessories and customization alone. Let alone the articulation.
Yeah. Heck, with the Eliminator’s more GM-looking head, this becomes a real good army building deal, since you get so many customization options to make unique MS teams.
If you want all 3 forms in 1 look around for the P-Bandai EZ-SR Foxhound or color swap of the Foxhound the EZ-SR Maxima which is some hobby magazine exclusive
If this is made like the Maganac where the base kit pieces are on separate runners from the option parts then a 3-pack would cut down of having extra parts.
I just got into gunpla recently, started building since April this year. This is my first ever kit I build and loved it to the bits. My only complain is that the knee joint will loosen over the time and those arm armor is not very tight. Not to mention that back ankle armor like to fall out.
This was such a fun kit, EZ-8 is cool to begin with and it's just like getting a couple of rad option sets packed in. And if you can get it at retail, $20 is a hell of a good price for how much you get. Try had a lot of super cool kits that don't get talked about enough (I'm still trying to hunt down a ZZII)
Definitely a kit that is in dire need of a reprinting. And I'm definitely not saying that because I've had a hard time getting my hands on one these days and have wanted it for awhile now, nope, definitely not.
This is one of the kits that builders tend to buy in multiples, the option parts was highly desirable for custom/kitbash builds. Instantly bought 6 boxes when this was released.
@@First-Name_Last-Name Oh I'm well aware, unfortunately their amazing designs being so useful for custom builds means find any variation is basically impossible. I think I've only seen the MAXIMA and FOXHOUND kits like twice each on Mandarake, and maybe one Ez-SR? Personally, I'd like to get two of them, one for custom build use and the second just to build the Intruder version since it's just a really solid looking suit on it's own.
Fun fact: the Ez-SR units are all named after different motorcycle models from different companies, i forgot which is which but it’s still a fun bit of trivia
Meabwhile i brought out mine which was gathering dust to comtinue working on my custom variant of the Eliminator. Also theres a LOT of parts for making the hguc ez8.... not sure if you can make the full base ez8 sadly you cant make the shield in full (the frontal part of the shield is missing) and the solid round machine gun is lacking its folding stock
HGBF always treat us with unique concept gunpla, but sometimes with downsides like lacking color separation, limited articulation especially with old gunpla as its base kit, and some loose part Yes, I am talking about this kit
love this kit but the fit joint failed on me. so i kitbash this kit with rx-78 revive and send it to you to get roasted. but never got feature on that video. hoho.
Does the backpack of this kit/EZ-Arms fit onto the origin RX78? Curious to see if it would work since they use a 2 peg connection and I’d like to make a full armor kind of RX78 😄
Just screams custom paint job. I don't normally like the build fighters series but honestly I'm starting to come around. Especially with the new Battlelogue ones being similar.
I usually love the look of the low visibility color schemes on modern jet fighters. On this kit, the color scheme just looks bland to me. I love the kit itself & options to make 3 versions.
As a person who has bought 7 of these.
I love this kit lol
7!? That's a lot dude, i recently tried to find some of these older BF kits and it wasn't the easiest. I'm assuming you got 7 when they released.
@@groundmasterc 3 on release and in the past year I’ve come across another 4
So that's why it's incredibly rare lol

They sure liked squeezing in all those references to other properties they own, didn't they?
@@SoloAxlionYeah to the point that Seed as a whole is basically just 21st century Dragonar
1-in-3 kit pack, what a cheeky strategy to sell more, but it's customizable which is nice
@@terreausore2435 EZ-SR Maxima and Foxhound, yeah they are nice too
1 in 3? u mean 3 in 1?
I bought three so Bandai got my money

… I had no idea this even got a kit. TRY is seriously underrated as a show, but it’s hard to argue that it’s not supported by Gunpla, huh?
Yea..we should get at least mg build burning but nope..not a chance
Sucks that they couldn't part separate the V fin since the whole thing is literally only 2 colors.
Personally, I think it looks better in grey anyway.
Only problem with buying 3 is that now you have even more left over parts.
This together with the GM Sniper K9 are my "The ones that got away" model kits. I hate myself for not buying them when I had the chance.

At 8:00 That's exactly what I'm doing with this kit lol I'm marker painting it but using parts from all three in to one. Very fun so far.

Great kit for kitbashing parts
There are a couple P-Bandai recolors of this kit that include some extra parts so that you can basically do all 3 types at once that are really cool
Got this on clearance. Love this kit
I was planning to pick up the ez-arms for a kitbash but might end up getting the whole kit instead
If this is made like the Maganac where the base kit pieces are on separate runners from the option parts then a 3-pack would cut down of having extra parts.
I only got one copy of the standard kit, but I also have a Foxhound lying around.
i remember wanting to but one of these in the past, pretty cool

When you throw a box like that, hearing the plastics inside clashing into each other is so painful
Why? It’s 0% damaged

Wish there were any in stock anywhere
The gray color scheme should hold color well for customization i would think
The only negative I have with this kit was the v-fin on the intruder was a white sticker.
This Kit got me into Gunpla

One of the best 1/144 HG kits ever made.
Yes sir, I'll be getting may three, probably two. When is the question though.
I used the leftover parts to turn my Ez8 into a EzGr8
😆
I think this would be ideal for kit bash parts too

The feet are a bit funny in that *the ancle armor literally tucks into them*
I think that's just cool for some reason.
How is your vision after that surgery?
Better than with glasses!
cool double beam mode
A 3-pc kit package would be nice with all the options

Those three Gunpla are based on the Dragonars from Metal Armor Dragonar.
Very cool kit. How hard would it be to use the cannon and missile rack on other kits?

Still wondering why this HG Build Fighter/Divers kits are not 1/1 instead of 1/144. 😅
I've been waiting for it to be back in stock! T-T
Is it actually possible to mount the EZ SR parts on the Ground GM?
I'm a Little Curious
Maybe? The backpack attachment is different to the regular Ez-8 so it’ll require some mods there, but everything else should be easy to slap on
I have the same set from ur intro

I’ve been hunting for this kit for a while now!
Anyone know where I can order it online???
Wait there’s new kits coming out for build FIGHTERS of all things???
This has been out for years and years
This is a old kit but the Figure-rise Fumina was a new release for Build Fighters.
😎🤔
@ZakuAurelius had to get his eye surgery before he came to the US so the doctor wouldn't take his gunpla money away
shame with the V fin thing there

i think because the gray is too light, so the white parts just blend in making it looked monotone
