My take on it is that the Scadutree is the solidified ''image'' of the Erdtree just before it was burned down and replaced by a golden illusion. Just a theory tho.
Now that I think it about, it's possible that the scadutree predates the erdtree. It might have been the principle tree of worship until the erdtree became the central point of belief. Overtime everyone forgot or simply overlooked the scadutree. It's ironic given that it's an actual tree, with actual blessings, and an actual function intact; the erdtree is in essence a shadow of the scadutree.
The chalice was not for collecting fragments, but for collecting golden sap. It's pretty obvious. A chalice is designed for a liquid. They would have used a giant basket it they were collectind Scadutree fragments.
No, we as players, don't deserve jack shit. It's up to the artists to make the art they want to make, and explain it as much or as little as they like. We don't have every single piece of the puzzle, and we almost certainly never will, because we were never meant to.
@@benjaminjenkins2384 Such a mediocre way of thinking you have; maybe you are not destined for anything and you settle for little. I hope that most players demand a little more than you...
@@Lixatto Don't be silly. Do you know anything about the previous fromsoft games? Do you think that any of those Dlcs solved the fundamental mysteries of the series? There are questions and themes at the heart of these games that aren't meant to be spelled out to you like a toddler, they're the kind of thing you have to pick at and discover for yourself. And as for demanding more content, what an entitled and self righteous thing to do. Do you actually think you're owed anything? You paid for a videogame and a dlc. This is known as a 'purchase.' You aren't owed more. It isn't Hidetaka Miyazaki's responsibility to satisfy every single fan. His job is to make good art, and he does it well.

I love Scadutree lore videos and this is the best one I’ve seen. Very much aligns with my own theories.
I wonder if there is a connection with the the magic of the concealing veil and the crepus vial

Good video! I think we, as player, deserve a new content patch with lore, story, items, cinematics, boss, etc., there are many to need be explained
I mean we got a massive expansion with all those things...We were never going to get clear answers on anything though 😢

Read Moby Dick. You'll get it.
The voice actor. Admit it, he delivered those lines masterfully
