Rookie question; when you say Four Snookers Required, does that mean that Yao needed to foul 4 times to make it mathematically possible for the other fellow to win the frame?
@@knutewales1171 Yes; they talk of “clearing the table“ which means potting all the remaining balls in a single visit to the table, but to win the frame there may not be enough points there to beat the opposer if he already has more points than that total. But of course if there are still some reds on the table, it is possible to gain extra points by potting some colours more than once.
@@stephenjackson7999 when a player needs more points then whats on the table and gets a snooker and the other player misses the snooker, the foul and a miss rule is not applied, as the player who needs snookers actually needs the points. also if he can't hit the object ball on each of its extremeties (the very edge of each the left & right side of the ball), the rule of free ball applies.
When it's at the snookers required phase the miss rule does not apply, that way one snooker can not be used to gain more then just 4 points or however many points the snooker is, based on which ball is hit. So one snooker could theoretically be 7 points if the opponent hit the black.
This is fascinating stuff. Forget about how vast the universe is, or how it works. There are guys here hitting balls into holes with sticks!
Next video, please give along with commentary.
Sure, I will do it.. and will give some text summary on the match result at the end as well - as asked by few folks... Thanks for the feedback
If I have a cough, I stay at home. I don't go to the theatre, cinema, concert, etcetera.
The air is dry in those theatres so most people have tickly little coughs. Doesn't mean they have an infection

Yes mate exactly that.
Yes; but Robertson can also pot for points, as he did, so less snookers were then required.
Thanks. To follow up, did the four snookers required also assume that Robertson would have to run the table as well?

8:00 why free ball? I don't understand
Because he could not fully hit both sides of the ball with the white
But he could hit both sides of the red. Why no miss called. Rules must be different or new here.

Both sides means the entire sides, simple as that...

True.. I almost cried when he said " "
Parabéns Robertson que com pacência e determinação venceu a partida.
Who win the match at last?/
Yans laughing but not at end
Not often u see that
9:01 why he did not hit red instead of black ??
The black was after the free ball which is basically any color but counted as a red.
Why is the miss not called.
