Yeah i am with A 117 on this one, this part was still easy to understand. in all honesty thought, there are people that are yelling "KH story makes no sense" but personally i never thought this to be the case, if you just listen to everything and maybe take the time to readsome "reports" and stuff, i found everything maked kind of sense in the end. makes me wonder if people are just to lazy to think sometimes.

Except "Seeker of Darkness" wasn't really given to him as a title until later. Up until now, chronologically speaking, he has only been called Ansem and only referred to himself as Ansem. This is effectively a case of identity theft...
Xehanort, an apprentice of Ansem the Wise, stole Ansem’s name. Then he split himself into a Heartless (the main antagonist of the first game) and a Nobody, Xemnas. The name Xemnas is an anagram of Ansem with an X added. So basically, you defeated half of the fake Ansem, and now you have to defeat the other half.
The battle of 1000 Heartless is one of the most iconic fights in the Kingdom Hearts series. I like to see it as a demonstration of how much Sora has grown since his days on Destiny Island.
I only learned about Tron when I started playing this game. I watched the movie first to get familiar with the world before I played it in KH2 for the first time. I want an animated remake of that movie.

Dee, don't try to understand it all at once. There are times where you're not supposed to understand quite yet, just wait and things will be revealed and everything will eventually make a lot of sense

I remember playing this as a kid and the 1000 heartless battle always made me feel so accomplished. Like I just pulled off something amazing (even though I know now it wasn't something super hard but it was legendary).
Just a heads up, leveling up each of the drive forms will give you unique abilities. They’re each leveled up in different ways, I think you can see how to do each in the status section of the menu. It can be a bit of a grind at times but it’s definitely worth it (in my opinion at least)
Nearly everything you were confused about regarding Xehanort gets explained in the reports. Highly recommend reading them as you get them. There's a reason they don't give them all to you at the end of the game. They want you to use them to piece together what's going on.
@@harisakma5733 my issue is with waiting to read them all at the end of the game since the reports are very relevant to the current plot around the time that they are obtained. They meant for you to read them when you get them to flesh out certain characters backstories. He was so confused about the relationship between Xehanort and Ansem that he had to have his mods tell him what was basically written in the reports anyways.
Just putting it out there: if you liked the Tron world so much in this game, you may enjoy Astral Chain by Platinum games. I know you have a whole load of super long games on your plate right now, but it’s just a suggestion.
Astral Chain is indeed a lot of fun -- the story format is much more linear and limited (it's fundamentally an action game outright, not action-RPG) but the combat mechanics are Platinum tier (pun intended) and the visuals are topnotch icing on the cake. I still need to finish it also ... I took a break after beating chapter 9 but haven't gone back....

You can level up the Limit Form by using the Limit Breaks that replace your magic commands. But to properly execute said limits, you have to release the shortcut menu after the first input select because the shortcut menu locks you out of ALL reaction commands, even the ones that can only be executed in limit form limit breaks.
This part in Hollow Bastion is so amazing. So much is happening here and after that the main story really takes of. Iam really looking forward to what’s to come up this point😁

I’m not the only one! I saw it when replaying KH2 myself , but I had the same reaction! I just caught myself screaming at my TV when I saw it. Had a breakdown. It all goes full circle, and we’ll never understand.
Oh boy that Demyx fight followed by the 4 waves of heartless while teamed up with FF characters was absolute balls to do during my level 1 critical run last month. Took several dozen tries to learn Demyx fight just to get oneshot by a heartless in those waves and have to restart back at the Demyx fight fml..
That's Bruce Boxleitner reprising his role as Tron, he also played Commander Sheridan on Babylon 5 and Col. Konrad in Spec Ops The Line. David Warner played Sark in the original but Corey Burton plays him here, using his Shockwave voice, which was actually inspired by Warner's.
1:14:49 explains so well now after watching the whole union cross story line and knowing who that guy really is and who he’s talking about. Crazy to know that once you learn about the story lines of the new games and go back to this one it makes more sense now what there all talking about.
I love how Squall gives Mickey this soft look after the mouse questions what the heck a "password" is. Squall's basically like "I can't believe I'm friends with these talking animals... they're kinda precious tho"

I think after all these years I've just now realized that when Sora gets angry and loses control that's Roxas peeking through. DiZ tells Roxas to share his anger and hatred with Sora, and I guess he does. I've played this game for 10+ years and never realized that, why am I so dumb xD
I don't think it's Roxas giving his anger to Sora because they haven't fully combined at this point. Roxas still exists as a somewhat separate entity inside Sora. We see Sora express Roxas' emotions like when he cried back in Twilight Town. Sora has gotten angry in the past in both KH1 and CoM so he does have anger, he just doesn't express it as much as Roxas does because we see way less of Roxas and mainly when people are screwing him over.

When Sora silently mouths those words to Donald and Goofy, the most likely thing he worded is "Thank you", as he couldn't say that out loud in front of Mickey. Some think he says I love you which is sweet since that would probably be the first time "I love you" has been spoken in the entire series, but his mouth movement looks more accurate to that of "Thank you". Very sweet moment nonetheless
Much as I believe Tifa's remake design is superior, and I very much enjoy her classic outfit, there's an element to the KH2 model I wish was carried over to all others: the defined muscle tone on her arms. You can tell she's slender, yet clearly has the toned muscles of a martial artist. They actually make her hotter, TBPH
Let's be real here, though, the rebranding to "Xehanort" is but a surface layer to the deeper spheres of the insanity. There are many further, more maddening revelations that we ourselves as the players are at the innermost core of. Until Dee Bee learns the true mindblowing awe of being personally reflected in the enigma of Xehanort, he's gonna be pretty busy catching up.

No. The Ansem you defeated was not Ansem’s Heartless. It’s Xehanort’s Heartless who stole Ansem’s Identity. Ansem the Wise made the some reports too but most of them were made by Xehanort after stealing his identity. Goofy also explained this.
Actually, it's revealed (in Secret Ansem Report 1, I believe, which he just got) that Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, wrote all of the KH1 Ansem reports except the first one. So, Ansem the Wise started down the path of studying hearts and darkness but knew when to stop. Then, Xehanort led the other apprentices in secret experiments, writing the remaining reports and eventually getting rid of Ansem the Wise, stealing his identity, then splitting themselves into heartless and nobodies to form the Organization.
This was the one I was waiting for cuz of the Ansem confusion. I knew it was gonna get him. Also the Hollow Bastian fight was my favorite of the game. I made so many saves so I could keep doing it.
Man they really packed a whole ton of content into this one section of the game, didn't they? Everything starts out with a lull and then they throw like a thousand things at you at once and you have to try and process it all while things keep happening on screen It's a wonder that this part of the game is one of the more memorable ones

Ah, so this is what it’s like to watch someone process the Xehanort reveal in real time. It’s pretty crazy stuff. Anyway, the Heartless attack on Hollow Bastion is one of my favorite parts of the game. It’s just so amazing.
I took quite a pleasure watching you, especially that I'm glad that you didn't listen to people who told you to just watch the cinematics. But now that I took my time rewatching it, when the Black hood was using the computer, the symbols he used to open that file makes sens to me after finishing Union X. 🤔
Hollow Bastion and Space Paranoids have 100% been my favorite worlds in KH2 for forever, and i think it has to do with how basically seamlessly they are melded together into a cohesive unit, and have some of the best set pieces of the whole game. i might also be a bit biased because i'm so attached to the FF side characters but it's not why i love these worlds so much, i promise xD so, so glad you enjoyed both so much. and also are just as mildly amused/confused about how many ansems there are as the rest of us! xD

Furthermore, u gotta remember that the Final Mix was released YEARS later (Internationally cuz it was released in Japan first back in '07) after Birth By Sleep, & the organization is specifically talking about BBS stuff, like the characters, the war, etc. The rest of us know what they were talking about, since we all have played bbs. Also, The whole Xehanort thing is confusing when u get to BBS, but here it is for now: there's Xehanort (1) The 'Ansem' in Kh1 is Xehanort's Heartless (2). & then there's Xemnas, Xehanort's nobody (3). It's just those 3 different people. It's not that complicated...for now. Also, congrats on beating the Famous 1k Heartless battle 👏👏
Final Mix of Kingdom Hearts II was released in 2007. Birth by Sleep only came out in 2010. If you meant an international release of Final Mix then that would be true.
Man i remember doing this fight on the PS2 where they just had dozens of dancing jpegs while you fought maybe 10 or so actual heartless that constantly had to spawn in.
“How did Ansem the Wise became a heartless? I thought he was one of the good guys!” Be careful. Remember, there is darkness in every heart and each and every one of us can fall to the insistent temptations of darkness at any given notice. Don’t be so quick to write off Ansem as “pure”. He may not be as innocent as you may think.
NGL, watching Dee fall further and further down the rabbit hole that is Kingdom Hearts' lore has been the most entertaining thing for me in a long while. Keep it up :D

Oh boy that Demyx fight followed by the 4 waves of heartless while teamed up with FF characters was absolute balls to do during my level 1 critical run last month. Took several dozen tries to learn Demyx fight just to get oneshot by a heartless in those waves and have to restart back at the Demyx fight fml..

I love how Squall gives Mickey this soft look after the mouse questions what the heck a "password" is. Squall's basically like "I can't believe I'm friends with these talking animals... they're kinda precious tho"

I think after all these years I've just now realized that when Sora gets angry and loses control that's Roxas peeking through. DiZ tells Roxas to share his anger and hatred with Sora, and I guess he does. I've played this game for 10+ years and never realized that, why am I so dumb xD
I don't think it's Roxas giving his anger to Sora because they haven't fully combined at this point. Roxas still exists as a somewhat separate entity inside Sora. We see Sora express Roxas' emotions like when he cried back in Twilight Town. Sora has gotten angry in the past in both KH1 and CoM so he does have anger, he just doesn't express it as much as Roxas does because we see way less of Roxas and mainly when people are screwing him over.

When Sora silently mouths those words to Donald and Goofy, the most likely thing he worded is "Thank you", as he couldn't say that out loud in front of Mickey. Some think he says I love you which is sweet since that would probably be the first time "I love you" has been spoken in the entire series, but his mouth movement looks more accurate to that of "Thank you". Very sweet moment nonetheless

Much as I believe Tifa's remake design is superior, and I very much enjoy her classic outfit, there's an element to the KH2 model I wish was carried over to all others: the defined muscle tone on her arms. You can tell she's slender, yet clearly has the toned muscles of a martial artist. They actually make her hotter, TBPH

Let's be real here, though, the rebranding to "Xehanort" is but a surface layer to the deeper spheres of the insanity. There are many further, more maddening revelations that we ourselves as the players are at the innermost core of. Until Dee Bee learns the true mindblowing awe of being personally reflected in the enigma of Xehanort, he's gonna be pretty busy catching up.

No. The Ansem you defeated was not Ansem’s Heartless. It’s Xehanort’s Heartless who stole Ansem’s Identity. Ansem the Wise made the some reports too but most of them were made by Xehanort after stealing his identity. Goofy also explained this.

It's best to refer to Xehanort's Heartless as 'Ansem, Seeker of Darkness', to distinguish him from 'Ansem the Wise'.
@@tatererer9747 It’s really not that complicated. In fact the story makes more sense because of it. I’ll admit the reveal was hidden well though.
Actually, it's revealed (in Secret Ansem Report 1, I believe, which he just got) that Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, wrote all of the KH1 Ansem reports except the first one. So, Ansem the Wise started down the path of studying hearts and darkness but knew when to stop. Then, Xehanort led the other apprentices in secret experiments, writing the remaining reports and eventually getting rid of Ansem the Wise, stealing his identity, then splitting themselves into heartless and nobodies to form the Organization.

This was the one I was waiting for cuz of the Ansem confusion. I knew it was gonna get him. Also the Hollow Bastian fight was my favorite of the game. I made so many saves so I could keep doing it.

But now that I took my time rewatching it, when the Black hood was using the computer, the symbols he used to open that file makes sens to me after finishing Union X. 🤔
Hollow Bastion and Space Paranoids have 100% been my favorite worlds in KH2 for forever, and i think it has to do with how basically seamlessly they are melded together into a cohesive unit, and have some of the best set pieces of the whole game. i might also be a bit biased because i'm so attached to the FF side characters but it's not why i love these worlds so much, i promise xD

1:07:28-1:14:59. These scenes are only Final Mix scenes, meaning they weren't in the OG KH2. Furthermore, u gotta remember that the Final Mix was released YEARS later (Internationally cuz it was released in Japan first back in '07) after Birth By Sleep, & the organization is specifically talking about BBS stuff, like the characters, the war, etc.
The rest of us know what they were talking about, since we all have played bbs.
Also, The whole Xehanort thing is confusing when u get to BBS, but here it is for now: there's Xehanort (1)
The 'Ansem' in Kh1 is Xehanort's Heartless (2).
& then there's Xemnas, Xehanort's nobody (3). It's just those 3 different people. It's not that complicated...for now.

Final Mix of Kingdom Hearts II was released in 2007. Birth by Sleep only came out in 2010. If you meant an international release of Final Mix then that would be true.

Man i remember doing this fight on the PS2 where they just had dozens of dancing jpegs while you fought maybe 10 or so actual heartless that constantly had to spawn in.
It's much easier to tell that's what's going on in hd, on the PS2 it's very difficult to actually notice that due to it being super low-res.

Be careful. Remember, there is darkness in every heart and each and every one of us can fall to the insistent temptations of darkness at any given notice. Don’t be so quick to write off Ansem as “pure”. He may not be as innocent as you may think.
