    A great idea Geoff, the rotational paddocks will be a good system to hopefully control the thistles- if the goats don't work, then donkeys it is.
    Still waiting for Eve🐐 Thanks for the vid. Best. 🤓 🧔🏻‍♀ and 🐶

    Goats are so funny, their faces, the little tails and what they eat 😆 I really hope you get donkeys next year, some of my favourite animals, together with goats and geese.

      I really hope to. My grandparents always had a couple of donkeys so it'll be nice for the nostalgia but also the land management.

    Hope the goats help with the job. I love that you moved your hen with her eggs giving her a chance something I would definitely do. Fingers crossed for her. Great to see the deer.

    I don’t know if donkeys like thistles but they make great guard animals.

    If you get a donkey, it should totally be called Thistle! If you get two, you can call the other Thicket! hehe.

    Might I ask the size of your individual paddocks that your pal used his sheep on?
    I ask because I'm dividing up a six acre field next year and I'm looking at the options...

    • @BrimwoodFarm
      @BrimwoodFarm  2 года назад

      I honestly don't know! My sheep are rotated every day on electric fencing so they get as much as the fencing stretches. This field was split into paddocks by a friend. Perhaps 1/2acre per section??

    I like the larger pens what the goats are in? Will your friend be taking them away or are they yours ?

      Theyre being left here for now so we can both rotate grazing.
