Silverstone wasn't expected to host 2010 onwards until the middle of 2009 when Donington's bid got cancelled, so other needs for Silverstone were prioritised over F1 before it returned.

Mega lap and yet he went 1.4 seconds faster than this in Q2!
Remember that in those days with refuelling Q3 laps had race fuel so it would have been quicker than the Q2 time if they had low fuel like they do now

Prophet Ascending Both are good, but i prefer the new layout.
@@OmarZ77 for pure driving the older layout is so much better that it more than makes up for the fewer overtaking opportunities for me anyways

I like the new Silverstone (fast circuits are cool) but there was something special about Bridge for sure.
And now I've stood on the old part of track since its all open and people walk along it to access other parts etc

idk why but at 0:16 0:33 and 1:04 you can just feel how loaded up those front tires are... these cars were much more fun to watch

This Silverstone is so much better and more fun. Bridge corner is my favourite

Mate, many teams started using double diffusers after they failed to get it banned. Even McLaren used them from Germany onwards.
I still don’t get why the pit lane is now on the other side of the track. It would be better if the pit lane would be there, where it was until 2009
