No ground and socket wiring is out of phase according to the two red lights on Ifi AC iPurifier. Proper grounding is the key for the ifi to work optimally. There is a 4mm female socket on iPurifier to attach a ground. I guarantee those noise readings go way down when done that way. I have mine attached to copper grounding rod outside of home, and in addition to the 3rd prong ground.🙂

Again same as your other video. That plug adapter you have on your iFi Purifier bypasses the GROUND! That’s why you are getting the noise. Ground is the key! Take that adapter off and do it again. If your outlet doesn’t have a ground on it, then get an electrician to replace your socket with a properly grounded outlet.

It's Japan. No ground wire in the wall in any house/flat, apart from one socket in the kitchen and one where the washing machine is. I lived in Japan for 10 years, my audio gear was never grounded for this reason.

@@deneszoltan2160 Ahh ok then I would make a ground by putting a grounding rod into the ground and having an electrician wire it with sockets with grounding plugs. Not having ground is both a fire hazard AND it will make your stereo sound like shit.

The Alphalabs has been shown to measure only a certain portion of the spectrum. To prove conclusively you should use an Entech Power line Analyzer, which covers a better range. They can be found for relatively cheap.

Same result here. with Triefield and IFI, seems to add more noise at the plug.

    It should be green/green.

In Japan, there may be no connection to the earth ground. But don't worry. iFi AC iPurifier works without a earth ground.
Green is just for checking the polarity.
This is Not in trouble. It turns off in case of trouble. Please read the instruction manual for details.

@@nightwishdaisuki exactly read the manual, red meant out of phase, this creates the opposite of thr desired effect basically doubles the noise floor instead of cancelling it out.
