The scene that follows during the rain is engraved in my mind and will never leave in my lifetime. Fujimoto knows how to tug your heartstrings then tear it apart in ways you cannot imagine.
I hope they got the right for Don't Look Back in Anger. It's a beautiful Easter egg in the manga and it is such a fitting track that would probably make me cry.
Seen it on theatres and damn it’s so good. Was sobbing throughout multiple parts in the film. Glad to see a few cameo from goodbye eri and chainsaw man too

The animation (especially when they were running through the streets) is beautiful! And the song is sweet but melancholy. I hope this comes to Mississippi. 🙏

I just finished reading it for the first time, and with my heart in shatters I came to youtube to find a video essay or something, but suddenly finding out this is gonna be a movie (and a gorgeous looking one too) I'm both so excited and not ready to be feeling what I'm feeling right now all over again
I was hooked from the just the opening classroom scene - all the background characters moving and behaving like kids. IT just makes the scene feel alive!
I'am so forever grateful to have already watch this film in the theater (This movie premiere 31 July in my country), the the music, the animation, the cinematography is so beautiful, I haven't read the manga before I watch the film, so i didn't know what I would get myself into, so at the 3/4 part of the movie it felt like a kick to the gut, I was speechless, stunned even when I left the theater, 10/10
The first time I read this during the covid, I was so hooked with the manga. As a self taught artist myself, i relate to both kyomoto and fujino deeply. Plus my birthday is on 5th oct, I think this will be the greatest pre birthday gift 🥰

My kids are half Japanese and I can read Japanese well enough to have read this last summer when the movie trailer came out in Japan. I don't read manga usually, or watch anime, despite living on Japan. This book had me tearing up unexpectedly, as it did for my daughters. What a emotional connection you make with fictional characters sometimes. Haven't seen this film yet, as I know it's going to be tough to get through without welling up all over again.
