Ah, this reminds me of Dr. Wily Stage 2 from Mega Man 9 for the Wii (at least in terms of pulse 1 and 2 echoing each other in certain parts). This song kinda sounds like it came out relatively recently! Prob because most likely the beat and how the song is structured that grants it a modern taste. Or music hasn't changed much in like, 30 years.

Pulse 2 on its own sounds like you tried to play pulse 1 from memory.
