I knit my sweaters, and always keep the rest of the wool. You can look up "reweaving" and it will tell you to pick open a seam and filch yarn from that.

The hook being used here is a latch hook and you can get it at most sewing stores or craft storex but you can use a regular crochet hook. Crochet hooks come in many sizes so you can get a very small one to do this job. The needle is a tapestry needle. The video shows a job well.

Good, clear video, thank you very much! But...where can I get exactly the same yarn as on the sweater?

Круто, конечно, только при одном незначительном условии: у вас должно быть такое количество пряжи, из которой связана вещь, но где ж столько её взять, если вещь куплена?

I wonder what happens with all the loops that get pulled back to the wrong side?

I've watched a few of these videos and where are y'all getting a perfect match for your yarn?

I once knew an invisible mender who would search the garment for somewhere hidden to take excess thread or yarn for the mending without compromising the garment's structure. E.g. from inside a hem or from a seam allowance. Not sure where one could take yarn from a knit though 🤷🏼‍♀️

from the yarn used to sew the seam which often is the same yarn. Then you re-sew up the seam using another yarn, which doesn't have to be exact match.

Can't blame her given how detail oriented her work is. Not everyone who posts on RUclips to help educate others on such helpful skills responds to comments and not every comment needs be responded to.
