Scotland Tonight special report: Rehabilitating Prisoners

Scotland's jails face mighty challenges - top of the list being the soaring prisoner population, which we learnt today has hit its highest level since 2012.
In that light, penal experts believe it's more essential than ever that prisons are still places than can rehabilitate offenders. Three jails here are currently trialing a new method of rehabilitation using what's known as 'anonymous drama'. It's hoped it will be effective in cutting reoffending rates and help individuals come to terms with what led them to commit crimes in the first place.
Scotland Tonight's Selena Jackson had exclusive access to HMP Shotts in North Lanarkshire to see how the new scheme works.
