Americans react to Rammstein 'Zeit'. Rammstein is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in Berlin in 1994. The band's lineup-consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz-has remained unchanged throughout their history, along with their approach to songwriting, which consists of Lindemann writing and singing the lyrics over instrumental pieces the rest of the band have completed beforehand.

The three black dressed women are the three Nornes. In the old german fore-christian mythology they represent the past, the present and the future. The Norne of the past is named Urd (the destiny). The Norne of the present is Verdandi (that what is now and what will be in the next moment). The Norne of the future is Skuld (that what will grow out of the past and the always changing moments). The Nornes spin the rope of life. They decide where the rope begins and where it ends. In Germany we still say „life hangs at a thin rope“ when things are getting dangerous or somebody is really hurt or sick. The Nornes are no gods. They just represent the time of a life. People can‘t influence time and a lot of things that happens. The life of everyone is created by the Nornes what means by the time. And we all sitting in the same boat mightless in the sands of time. This is the credo of this song.

I love this song, I definitely can associate with it, being German the lyrics are pure poetry, you cannot truly appreciate Rammstein, until you know a bit German, that goes for all their songs, their concerts are really good, I recommend you go to one. Rammstein is truly one of the great bands there is.
Saw them this year live in denmark, and had the luck that they played this song! As he likes to do, Till changed one line, which was _ein Jeder kennt, den perfekten Moment (everyone knows the perfect moment)_ into _ihr alle kennt, den perfekten Moment (you all know the perfect moment)._

Wow. I've known for a long time that Rammstein is the best band in the world (sorry DÄ). That Lindemann is the greatest living German-speaking peot is nothing new. The fact that Rammstein can now also be used as couple therapy is surprising... but somehow logical
I would recommend the "Deutschland" video, also "Du hast (live in Paris)".

My interpretation and thought was time goes on like a continuous cycle and those rare occasions when we are truly happy of course we want time to stop. The showing of the sand and hourglass ⌛ time keeps going and them showing the scenes reversing to me meant a desire to go back in time either to the moment of birth and start our lives over or to before we're even born saying no i don't even want to be born i want to go back before i was even conscious of my own existence and mortality. Them being blindfolded to me was no one knows whats going to happen in the future we don't know what kind of lives these babies are going to have.
I want to thank you for being one of the very few male reactor that didn't look shocked or horrified when they show the scenes of the women giving birth. I was already expecting to see a look of disgust or some comment on how they shouldn't show that. So thank you very much for being a mature adult

Ja, wirkt schon etwas komisch. Allerdings sollte man auch nicht zu streng sein. Als Ausländer der die Sprache nicht spricht und ggf. vorher noch nichts von Rammstein kannte ... der wird vlt. nicht auf Anhieb die Genialität der Texte und Videos/Filme erkennen.
Edit: Rammstein hat mal wieder ein Masterpiece rausgehauen.
@@capricorn1970i Hast Du das andere Reaktionsvideo (DickeTitten) von denen gesehen? Ich glaube, die sind einfach nur bräsig! Besonders SIE! Ihm war es bzw. sie, möglicherweise sogar phasenweise etwas unangenehm.
Gerade wenn man die Texte nicht versteht, sollte man doch die Musik und Bilder für sich spechen lassen! ...neben dem Grundrespekt, den erstmal jeder Künstler, in diesem Rahmen erwarten darf.
Gerade bei ,, Zeit" sollten die ersten 30sek. ausreichend sein, um die allermeisten Menschen vollständig in den Bann zu ziehen..... wenn man denn auch zuhört.

Another thing that came to my the babies being put back in to the mother to be born again on earth and also coming back in a sense they died on earth and are now being born in the other world and their birth or rebirth on earth is them already starting to die because as soon as your born your dying..your dying to live or as Rammstein put it "Wir sterben weiter bis wir leben" "We keep dying until we live" because in a sense what we perceive as dying is us actually being born again into the other world that's why the girl in the end seems happy when she dies because she knows that her death here means her being born over there..if that makes any Sense?

you know if you don't like rammstein don't react their songs. you don't have to laugh......or you can read a little about the band that exists for 25 years now with amazing and always meaningful songs and real stories......
the fun part of this journey is discovering music that is new to us. that would be very boring to react to only artists/songs that we have already listened to 1,000 times. again we discover more about each band by interacting with the fans online, not by studying the wiki before recording a video. Both Liza and Jay have very different tastes in music. She likes Christian/gospel/country music and he likes rock/metal/blues music. So it’s rare when we agree on music. What is your favorite song by Rammstein?
@@JayandLiza thank you for your answer. Well I don't read wiki I have known them since 1997 I think when I heard 2 of their songs in the movie lost highway. I was amazed immediately. So I began listening to their songs and searching their music background.
My comment was not to insult you or point my finger to you. I just didn't like when you laughed in your reaction and especially to this song. Of course I respect that you don't like this kind of music as I don't like Elvis music for example but I don't laugh at his songs and i respect his career.
As for my favorite rammstein song there are a lot. I would say mein hertz Brent piano version the official video.
If you are going to react in more of their songs you can watch their lives. Begin with ich will hurricane festival 2016 with the English subtitles. There is a reason for the subtitles and you will understand it if you hear it. It's a very happy song !!! Thank you for having the time reading my comments.

They are the Norns from Norse and Northern European mythology, three cloaked women.
