I also enjoy my own company it must be an age thing! 😂 once in awhile to escape the chaos of life for a night spent outdoors in a shelter, soaking up the peace and quiet definitely helps the mind. Very enjoyable Sunday evening watch 👍
Totally get where you’re coming from with the peace and solitude Chris. This was a cracking video to watch, really sells the outdoors and shows how much passion you have for it. Nice one mate 👌⛺️
@@MCMOutdoors Me too. Extremely practical, decent amount of water repellency and super-quick drying. But don't tell everyone, they'll get popular again and go up in price!
Make sure you put something on the top of the canes so that people don't poke their eyes out. Nobody wants a colony of blind wildcampers wandering round frightening the sheep 😬
Great vid as always mate, had a bit of a crappy week so this was a great escape. New tent looks wicked, just can see why mark loves it too! You got a new mic? Sound is FANTASTIC 🤌🏻
Another cracking camp, Chris. Those shots walking into camp were class. Feel the world slipping away. I agree about not mentioning specific spots. Just encourages armies of people to flood the same area when there's so many beautiful places to discover rather than flocking the same way. Looking forward to getting these STEERS Tags to their new owners ✊🏻
Finally got around to watching this. I’ve fallen a bit behind on my RUclips que lately. Such a relaxing camp Chris! Always nice to have a really quiet spot next to a beautiful tarn. All the best buddy!
An ace little camp Chris, you remain a true ambassador for the great outdoors. There is nothing wrong with enjoying being alone away from people. I am 48 and only recently started to enjoy my own company, when out camping. For some of us, hell is just other people, apart from our loved ones and friends of course. ATB
Thanks Michael, appreciate it. Keeping the content focused on a love for the outdoors and nature - they're the stars of the show and always will be. ATB, Chris
Mate,I,m 67 and I,ve been a single parent for 15 yes.during lockdown yourself amongst others inspired me to camp and hike.i tend to site camping and do longer hikes.loving it as I,ve become a lone wolf in that department as my friends prefer the 4 and 5 star instead of the real ones.😅cheers for your hard work and getting the likes of me out making my own little adventures, for me its a big deal.😊
Brilliant video, I can see where you are coming from when you are on your own you are away from pressure, I’m looking forward to August for some wild camping in Lochnagar area, many thanks for the video x
Ey up me duck. I know what you mean fella. To be alone with one's thoughts in peace and tranquility is sometimes the only thing that keeps a person from just giving up. It's like a deep cleansing of the soul. Take care brother 🤜🤛
Great video as always mate, I also l enjoy my own company mate but for me due to losing my wife to leukaemia 11 years ago now, I point this out not fishing for sympathy but to say at various times on our lives we adapt to whatever life throws at us and hopefully find a way to enjoy what we have going on at these different stages along our brief journey. Great to see you making the most of it mate, carry on making these vids as it really is a great watch. 👍
Thanks Darren - I'm sorry to hear that mate. Life has some pretty horrendous ways of testing us, but I guess it's how people deal with and recover from adversity that matters. ATB and thanks for taking time out to comment 👊👍🏕️
Absolutely amazing camping spot! It's like from Harry Potter where they zap to some secluded place & pitch a tent.....don't know if you've seen those movies.....anyway, thanks for another cool video. Great Sunday night cap. Cheers 🍻
Beautifully filmed vid pal. One of my favourite places that and great to know there's actually fish in there. Tents looking fab, plenty of space in there. Good to hear your still enjoying Debbie 👍
So good Chris, thanks for another absolutely cracking video. It is hard to grab in film a peaceful location but you damn well did in this one. Cheers, Warren :)
Fantastic video Chris Looked a fantastic location, my last camp was next to a Llyn with brown trout in, And I won Winner winner chicken 🐓 dinner 🍽️ 🤙🤙🏕️
Great video Chris. It's nice camping by yourself mainly for the freedom as no compromise needed and secondly for the quiet. Don't think it's an antisocial thing and you doing these vlogs proves that you're not antisocial. Many thanks for bringing us along. Start of video fooled me because I assumed you'd be in Snowdonia and I did recognise the landscapes.
Done many a camp here mate, I also carried my rubber dinghy to the top one time and had a row around. Wish I could share the pics. Atb best mate great video as usual.
Nice bit of shelter for the tent and it does look like a real idyllic spot indeed. I could not ever imagine living in a city, for me it's my idea of hell and I like my own company too but also happy to meet and be with people as well. Given the weather have been having most of this year, it looks like you hit on lucky with the weather as well as the search for peace and solitude, cheers Alan
Awesome pitch fella, I have pitched just to the left of you up above 😂, such a quiet place, thanks for sharing this mate and great to see you back, take care
I prefer a solo camp. Always the better way to relax and unwind. Don't know about anyone else but I can see a one eyed face in the rocks @22.02 thru the tent mesh.. Glad it was peaceful and you had it to yourself!
This is perfect. Loving your video (as I always do). I know you keep saying you're waffling when you talk about what it means to do it and the benefits of it, but for some reason it also relaxes me as a viewer and it's good for me winding down the day and it always reinforces why we should experience the outdoors in a healthy way like this. So don't stop with the talks 🙂👍🏻 Thank you for the brilliant content mate. I've had my first 'serious' wild camping tent delivered and I'm going to prepare to go on my first solo wild camp in the Lakes and this is inspiring for me - your experiences and also the talking 🙏
Thanks for the feedback mate - glad you found this one inspirational and enjoyable! That's what it's all about. Sounds quality that you're building your kit up pal!
Stunning camp 👌🏻...I beat you in the singles ranking though...I'm 13 years single lol, just me, my son and daughter to think about, hopefully we'll be out next Saturday, and my daughter and I will be starting the Pennine way at the end of June (north to south) I can't wait for that. Those bla band meals are top dollar, I like the pouch shape, no messy fingers lol.
I guess sometimes, it's just how life is. Yes, they're quite hard to get hold of but the pasta bolognese for me is one of the best! Good luck for the Pennine Way! 👍🤞
Same here ,love my own company, I've been single/divorced 23 years and just love it. Probably is anti social but I'm not really mithered how people judge me,my son is 27 and that's about it. Got plenty of friends but as I have got older I just see them on special occasions now,Weddings, christenings, funerals etc I just prefer my own solitude. Great video once again pal 👍
Nice tent! Haven't seen this model before.Been thinking about getting the Notch but this one is much more spacious. Did you have to import it or can you buy Tarp Tents locally in the UK?
Thank you for this very nice video. Very beautiful images. I think the Tarptent Stratosphire is a great tent. Still haven't bought it though. Want to use it with my large medium dog. And I don't know if there's enough room for me and him Tarptent says that you can lower the inner tent, and then a second sleeping mat would even fit in. Do you know if that is correct?
Hi, thanks. Yes, you can drop the inner, which allows it to spread out slightly, creating more width. You can actually purchase a kind of side cot which goes in one of the vestibule..... Maybe the dog could sleep in that? There's also the 2 person version of the tent too. I really enjoy using it. ATB
I know the spot - very idyllic. And no - being comfortable in your own company is not anti-social Chris, i've often felt those who aren't happy unless they are surrounded by other people can be a little insecure sometimes

A good spot, but it needs a long rest. I felt like getting the canes, string and grass seed out 🤣 Send weary eyed barking snendle flies.
