Just an FYI for anyone who wants to use lobster stock instead of chicken stock: Better Than Bouillon also makes a lobster base. If you can't find it in your local market, you can get it online. It's not too expensive and tastes pretty good. You can use it to make lobster bisque and so many other dishes, so it's not like it'll go unused if you do a fair amount of cooking.
Jim- Perfect timing. I just took out 2 lobster tails out of the freezer. I know what I'm having for dinner tonight. I don't have any clams so I'll have to include them the next time I make this dish. Jim- Again, happy holidays to you, Tara, Sammy, & James. If Sammy has time before the holidays would you ask her to make another wonderful dessert for us? Thanks.
Jim you knocked it right out of the park as far as I’m concerned, I love both baked clams and lobster. The baked clams always remind me of New York at a small bar where they would serve you a huge platter of them…yum. This is a great combination even if James has grown tired of baked clams, he still gave it a 9⭐😉. Really hope you Jim, Tara, James and your lovely daughter have a very Merry Christmas, Thank you for making our holidays even better with your recipes and banter.🦞🦪🎄💕👍
The boy James eats so well. Merry Christmas from England guys. Have a great one. One day James will look back and if he doesn’t already; understand how lucky he is! X
I make Crab Cioppino on Christmas Eve. I’ve never heard of this dish but I think I’ll change it up this year and make it. Thank you and merry Christmas to you and yours. 🎄 A great 2025 too! 🥂
Pro tip - you can easily pull the lobster meat out of the shell while it's still raw. Just get it separated and place it back in the shell so that you don't have so much work to do with your fork when you eat it
Oh man,, I miss Long Island and being able to get good seafood! Every year I tell my family we're doing the Feast of the Seven Fishes.. and I get their usual lukewarm response.. so I do our traditional homemade tacos. I'd rather do the fish!!! Merry Christmas to you and yours!! Have a safe and healthy New Year!!
Could you do this dish with mussels instead of clams? Not as much work to get them open... Any day now Jim, you're going to wake up, come down to breakfast and James's voice will be deeper than yours 🤣 Happy Christmas to you and your family!!
I admire the artistry involved and I'm sure it's delicious, but for me there's only one way to eat lobster: with butter and lemon. Anything more is gilding the lily. But that's just my opinion! It really does look great and you are very skilled. Keep up the good work.
Adding this to my family Christmas prime rib dinner. I'm going to omit the tomato though (no offense) and sub a small dish of burre monte sauce for each guest. Your stuff is incredible as always. Thanks.
Wow!! Looks fantastic CHEF!!!! Your family is so lucky to have you!!! Happy Holidays!!!! FYI..More difficult than last week's meal..LOL..Difficulty/Appearance: 15
I'm in South Dakota. Frozen lobster is way spendy and it's hit and miss on quality. I'm gonna try a shrimp version of this in a gratin dish. I love the shit outa this channel.
Yeah the great thing about kids is that they will say all this 'I don't like this I don't like that...' And then they will go to somewhere, some friend's place or an outside restaurant or something and then: 'These don't have the breadcrumbs like they are supposed to.' And y'all know EXACTLY what is going to happen here - the kid will become some world famous cook and he will look back at this one day. Best critics in the world though. You don't listen to what they SAY, you watch what they leave on the plate. lol
If your son is ever sick again, I would happily volunteer as tribute to come and taste something that you make😂 This looks amazing! Since I don’t happen to have any lobster on hand do you think I could swap out shrimp in the sauce?
My God...there's only one reason that I'd live on the east coast. Because I don't have to sell a kidney to afford lobster! I wonder how Minnesota walleye would work with this?

What a perfect dish for the Feast of the Seven Fishes. Thank you.
I like your honesty kid. Sometimes our tastes change😊
What’s not to like here? Lobster and clams and that divine sauce… yum. That thermometer is very cool, too.

She is busy making a lot of Christmas cookies but not sure if she will have the time for a new recipe. Hope you enjoy the lobster!
You have any shrimp?
For the last two years I have made your shrimp oregonata as a part of Xmas eve dinner and it’s amazing. Can’t wait to try this!

Your kid calling you out was the best part of this video. 😉

Great recipe!! Better than Bouillon makes a lobster base that is amazing!
YUM! And Merry Christmas to all.

That looks absolutely delicious! 🦞
Merry Christmas to and your family Jim!!!

Adding this to my family Christmas prime rib dinner.

Looks amazing your so close to a million wooohooo
Better than Boullion makes a lobster one, I believe. Will make this very soon !!
I'm curious if you'd think Panko might be an option for the breadcrumbs, or does it need to be that finer grain of breadcrumb to protect the food?
You can definitely use panko.
Better Than Bouillon has a lobster base too that I enjoy for saucy seafood recipes
What are your thoughts about using fresh oregano?
Great dish Jim! 😋. Merry Christmas!🎁🎄🎅🏻🧑🏻🎄☃️❄️
Has James ever had baked stuffed clams (minced clams with bread crumbs and seasoning? ) How about New England fried whole clams? Mmmmmmm
Okay 👌
Nothing like a little seafood with your parsley.
I'm in South Dakota. Frozen lobster is way spendy and it's hit and miss on quality. I'm gonna try a shrimp version of this in a gratin dish. I love the shit outa this channel.
Thanks for liking the channel! FYI - these were frozen lobster tails that I thawed overnight.

Hot sauce on the clams. That will make him like them.
If your son is ever sick again, I would happily volunteer as tribute to come and taste something that you make😂 This looks amazing! Since I don’t happen to have any lobster on hand do you think I could swap out shrimp in the sauce?
Can you add shrimp instead of clams?
Can you do a Lobster bisque?
19:42 he’s so fake, oh man 😂😂😂😂😂
Is there a sub for lobsters
Would this work with chicken too? Confirmed non fish eater here.
Absolutely!
This looks amazing. But making this in Europe would cost about 500$.
My God...there's only one reason that I'd live on the east coast. Because I don't have to sell a kidney to afford lobster! I wonder how Minnesota walleye would work with this?
I never noticed a N Y accent from you until you said cauwfee filter
Great recipe! But, you need to clean the poop from the lobster tails.
Only one tail had it. I should have mentioned during the video.
@ nonetheless, as I said, great recipe. I love the tomato passata twist, it looks delicious 😋
Are you getting obsessed too now? Seems to float a lot of that around you YouYube chefs these days :-)
Do not use a high carbon steel knife to cut through crab and lobster shells. Ask me how I know.
Mainer that doesn’t eat any seafood. Weird I know.
