@@FezTheMoose not early game but once you have crop plots of narco berries and high level creatures for meat collection and a chemistry bench for mass crafting/producing and lots of metal and rock deposits around for gunpowder and metal to make simple rifle bullets you can easily mass produce tranq darts but an industrial forge is a must need so instead of 20 stacks of metal taking almost 7 days to smelt, it will only take around an hour.

I've been saying this since genesis launched, there should be both x creatures AND normal creatures, that way they still keep the scary x creatures in the wild to make the game tougher, but you aren't forced the tame them, BUT if you see a super high level x creature, you still have the option of taming it.

Dododex got an update that tells you how many traqs it takes to knock out an x dino which is really nice. On official its take nearly 200 darts for a 150 xrex while it takes about 120 darts for a 150 xspino, the differences between the regular dino and the x ones are crazy
Spino is great for some missions cause they're fast, but they suck in the ocean, slow asf, also they tame a lot faster with prime fish, easy to get from sharks just use a pick or sickle
if you port South in the ocean biome, turn around and swim across to the island nearest the South west border. best spot to build an ocean platform because there's a quite large shelf just under to keep any and all ocean tames.
btw a cool feature for like the ocean platforms wouldve been if you could like tow them with a raft/boat, but for example it would limit the speed of the raft/boat to half and or the platform would take 300% damage etc while beeing towed, something like that wouldve been cool
Not sure if its suppose to be this way but you can get prime fish meat in the bog. GO to the bog fishing mission start it and harvest the salmon with a sickle. got quite a lot when I tamed my spino.
I feel like Spinos are more common in like the more yellowy gassy area in the swamp, cause I've definitely run into them while doing missions. Including the always level 180 untamable spino at the end of the one where you're tracking clusters or something like that???
the spino doesn’t suck, you didn’t lvl it enough on health, it wasn’t 10k like u said.. and the reason why the rex is so much better is because its like 50 lvls higher
I was actually just thinking about the armies on your cluster, and how cool it would be if you made the X versions of them, I feel like you’d be able to tame high level ones a lot easier since you have a lot more progress in the cluster and lots of resources to spare

Hey syntac, love your vids!! I too am disappointed as I am a HUGE spino fan, But I'm not disappointed with the alpha brute spino. Anthomnia had to bring a full rex army(which all died) and a megachelon loaded with turrets on the back to kill it!!
On my SP game, I found a max level (150) Spino. I transferred 2 Ascendant rifles over to Genesis and tried using them to take the Spino. Both rifles broke while taming and the Spino never went down.
I would be more interested in mutations on the volcano rexes than tek Rex’s/ x spinos. I’m not sure if you wanted opinions but from a viewer prospective, that would entice me to watch. Even if I don’t watch you, a flashy mutation on an x res as a thumbnail would grab my attention 100%
On my server with 150 max lvl I tamed a perfect 150 x spino. It got destroyed by a lvl 80 alpha carno that came out of nowhere while I was doing the pollen mission. I came back with my perfect 150 tame megatherioum and killed that same carno way too easy. Tame megatherioums people.
They should make X-Creatures more worth the amount of Tranqs by making it so that tamed XCreatures do the normal amount of damage to wild ones or something.
I feel like the x creature issue is especially prevalent in the ocean since many of the large animals are x creatures. It seems like once tamed, the high levels are worse than wild low levels and that’s not a good thing. It seems like they need to be looked at and tweaked
After much testing of X creatures i have come to the personal conclusion that they are just slightly stronger more pretty creatures, basically trophy animals with no real advantage over normal ARK creatures. If they kept even a tiny bit of their wild resistances as tames i would consider them better. Really glad there is no X bary, though it sucks they are fish tames, time to get cracking on kibble than!
Well, tbf, the Rex has 3k more hp and only does 500 more dmg at 30 levels above the spino (without hydrated buff). Does the rex have more resistance or something though?
Has anyone else noticed that wildcard still havent fully fixed taming the bloodstalkers like my singleplayer world it costs around 1500 blood bags to tame a 150 there really not worth taming unless you are on pc as on console there pretty laggy
I think they made it so that X creatures aren't really good even not as good as a regular one after taming it, I tamed few x creatures in this DLC and noticed that they are worse than their regular variants after tame. I don't know if I am wrong correct me if i am or i am just that unlucky taming these creatures

While I'm commenting on this video an x-spino is taming! It is a 145 (max is 180 cuz it's difficulty 6) but it's stil pretty good!
