Can we please challenge the normalising of laughing about not being able to pronounce someone from these islands' name? Welsh is a language far older than English and has been on these islands since before the Romans. If you can't be bothered to learn how to say someone's name, maybe keep that to yourself rather than laugh about the name being "unpronounceable". The Welsh alphabet, as it happens, is phonetic so if you bother to learn how to pronounce the letters, you'll be able to pronounce any Welsh word that comes your way.

When Angela Knight talked about parties that might do well, she carefully avoided the Lib Dems. Why?
Electoralcalculus are predicting 61 seats for the Lib Dems on 9.7% of the vote and zero for Reform on 13.8%. While that might be too optimistic for the Lib Dems, many experts, and privately many Tory MPs, expert the Lib Dems to take a significant number of Tory seats.

Anyone who was part of Johnson's government is part of the overall problem. Just because we have a new Prime Minister, in fact, we've had three of them in just a single parliamentary term, doesn't change the fact that the government is still the same one elected in 2019, and is the same overall government in terms of ideology since 2010. Starmer might be a bit lame, but he has a legitimate point when he says we need to turn the page. If we hand the conservatives another term, then frankly, I've lost all faith in this country because talk about self destructive behavior. Thankfully all the signs currently suggest the tories are in for an absolute drumming, and I am looking forward to it.

I have always voted Conservative. I have been telling them from Rishi Sunak downwards to my local MP for many months that they are going to I get hammered unless they apologise for their incompetence and start asking the right Qs and answering them. All their eyes just glaze over. It’s like you are talking to a cult member. They cannot engage in the issues and what has gone very badly wrong. Reform could not organise a government or an opposition. But they are asking the difficult Qs regardless whether you agree with their answers or not….

Although not a constant Tory voter by any means, I happen to think Rishi Sunak just about saved Britain after the debacle of Truss and Kwarteng. The D-Day issue was terribly judged/advised. It speaks for itself. However. Irrespective of whether Labour will or will not raise taxed by £2000 over five years, Rishi Sunak told a palpable lie. He said the Treasury had signed off that figure when they had not. They then tried to fudge it by saying the figures were right and well researched and the Treasury had signed off a component. However, that has not gained cut through. I wonder why.

Well hang on, I am getting tired of this BS about the furlough scheme. He had to do it. He was given no choice. If he didn't, the whole of the British economy would have imploded. Millions would have been out of work, and left on unemployment benefit which would have sky rocketed the budget problems of the government. Businesses would have collapsed, he didn't have a choice. So he did the furlough scheme, but he had to. Otherwise Boris and him would have been left with a country with nothing by July 2020.
