Hey bro don't get too dependent on those Benny's. Withdrawal is hell. Please be careful. Love your vids. You taught me options during Covid and bought a house with my earnings!
Yah yah yah, brainfog days, slurred benzo speach ...very relatable ....been there done that. I know it's awful and exhausting 'not feeling like yourself'. Video turned out to be entertaining and informative despite circumstances. I admire your grit to push through, and gonna keep watching. Cheers!
Not to sound cheesy, but everything fundamental I have learned about trading (options in particular) has come from you. I’m all too familiar with heath complications of my own and I can’t even relate to your situation. I wish the best for you sir, godspeed
Same lol! I just wrote a comment basically saying the same before I scrolled through the comments. He saved my ass during the shutdown by teaching the wheel and selling covered calls. I owe Adam a great debt of gratitude and we are all wishing he and his brother the best.
ITM. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You've taught me most of what I know now- you have an incredible ability to translate market jargon into things that make sense. Respect for pushing through this
Also, I just finished watching the entire video and the ending got to me. Working on yourself and not losing sight of the bigger picture in life. I hope things start to look for you, bro!
Adam if you're slowing down, I sure can't tell. This video has been very helpful to me. I haven't understood implied volatility well. That was great to see the TradingView platform where they actually color code via the Suite. I pray you will experience healing soon; that's terrible that people have to suffer as you are. Thanks for carrying on, my friend.
Your insight on selling options/the wheel offset all my losses from trading when I was still learning. Appreciate you a ton man. Hoping things get better ASAP, much love.
Love the content, appreciate it even with the health issues. Will always watch as long as you upload. The ending was very sound and true, work on yourself for the best ROI.
love the ending statement on character building throught work and talking about how you are the best ROIC. Love you bro! happy to see you are doing better in your latest video!
Adam... focus on yourself my friend. You have done an amazing job and have been very generous in sharing your wisdom and experience. Really wish you and your brother the best, along with everyone else on here. You have enriched the lives of many of us, in many ways. Thanks for being you man.
Appreciate all that you do! I had no idea how options trading worked before I started watching your videos and spent months making sure I understood what I was getting myself into. Just entered into my first trade today and it feels good to know what is going on with the price, different strategies I can take depending on which way the underlying goes and everything else I've learned from you. Hope you and your brother start feeling better soon. Wish you guys the best!
Wish you the best man, it's a good journey even though it is trying at times. Just whatever you do, recognize that nothing goes straight up or straight down... There will ALWAYS be retracements, usually when you wish there weren't, so have a good idea how much heat you're willing to take before you exit. And for the love of everything that is good, remember appropriate position sizing. Never break your rules.

Appreciate the video. Subscribed and learning a lot. I think it's good actually for people in general to see how much work goes into making a video. Seeing and unedited video like this helps us all remember how much we take for granted with youtube creators. Thank you for all your hard work and take care of yourself.
Adam, I highly recommend you structure your youtube channel like this: Premiere Date with a mini trailer --> video airs --> bounce out to a live video further discussing the topic and take questions. I think you'd get really good engagement and ppl would pay in chat to ask questions etc. Plus I bet the algo would like it.

Also thank you for this this video opened my eyes to EXACTLY what i was doing wrong. “In all realms of human endeavor” the amount of hard work and research to be able to make smarter working decisions you do directly translates to a higher probability and margin of ROI. It’s starts with me in the physical world and in how deeply I’m looking into the stats of a particular option so as to increase my chance of profit. I see the light because of you. I’m going to listen to you all that i ask i please brother please look in to my suggestions. I really hope you see this I LOVE YOU MAN

Markets are asymmetrical: large drops that are short lived, and small gains that take a relatively longer to see. Not all the time so be cautious and diversify and manage risk. I sell far otm call option spreads And buy near atm call spreads simultaneously
Something about that transition 😬 This is why LEAPS and wheel are what 90% of trading should be. LEAPS at least give you time, and wheel gives you 2/3 chance of being right on direction..since it can trade flat and you’re fine. Fiddling with all the data for short terms to make a choice on something that requires you to be right in only one direction and FAST…eh. It can be done but why stress it.
At the beginning of May I bought LEAPS option on VOO that expires 1/2025(furthest one available). My thought was to buy and hold basically. If I hear you correctly, I don’t really need to worry about Theta until around 3 months before expiry right? The option as of today is up 17% which is really cool to see. Thanks again for all your videos, I learn a lot from them!
Adam, can you help me understand *whether* the following is true? It is probably undesirable to buy a LEAP with an IV of 60% or higher. Also, do I understand correctly that there's a high chance IV will decline than increase? Is it true that an IV of 40% would be better (than 60%) because it has a relatively lower chance of falling while you're holding the LEAP? What do you think about a high IV like 70% or even 80% if the call LEAP expires in two years and the investor believes the stock will rise? Thanks!
Hey! While it is possible to make money while buying in high IV environments, it's certainly not optimal. And I wouldn't look at the individual option's IV, I would look at the average IV across the chain compared to its history. Is it low? Good, IV is mean reverting and you now have an edge. Is it high relative to its history? Maybe not the best time to buy options at all. I'm making a video covering this tomorrow, so look out. The most important thing is to analyze the break-even and determine how realistic that is, as the break-even is a function of imp vol.

Bought a leap during my fire season on Spotify at 95 strike up about 35% right now, I still have about 10 months of time on it and I’m debating whether to it sell it now or not my initial risk for buying it was about 6% of my portfolio
I buy any option that has earnings that day, especially a popular one like snap, buy it right at open, collect the IV premiums and sell an hour or so before close.
I'll give a specific stock I'm wondering about: BILL. It has high IV, recently reported, price dropped 20%, but are its fundamentals bad? I think no. OK, it's speculative. But a good company, yeah? Saul Rosenthal put it in his portfolio. Then how about a call LEAP on it? Looks bad to me because of IV, but better than before earnings, am I right?
