Alright. I give in. I blew up my second 2050kv motor today. But I looked damn good while doing it. I only had one of my tornado fans, and I bashed this weekend and took out my front two intake fans, and one of my exhaust fans. The motor got back up to over 200F. The setup with the fans kept things just under 150-160, but without all 6 fans it got too hot and blue up at the end of my run doing doughnuts. I already installed the 1650kv, and its slow on the 20t pinion. I ordered a 25t pinion and I'll let you know. It does run cooler, but its LOUD. Thanks for the tip bro.
@@LBizzyRC I got a 23t pinion for coming the big rock 6s today and I think that should get me up to the 70mph I'm looking for. I just clocked it on the 20t pinion , at ànd and it does 65 mph with the 1650kv I must admit you are true to your word and you said that the 1650 KV motor is the best ready to run combo out there and it looks like you're right. I'm still going to gear this thing to the moon but you were right in the end apologies for coming off like an a******.
@make4all2000 . Yes the big rock only has it in the center, the new kraton EXB RTR comes with it as an option to make it LSD. I liked the way the first kraton Exb roller had the LSD that’s why I went with that in the big rock just my opinion it handles better👊🏾💯
@Elircchannel . Those I had laying around, I believe I got them of Amazon. Regular led lights for the front the rear was a strip that goes on an airplane wing .👊🏾💯
I just ordered my Big Rock today and am I'm trying to figure out whether I want the 4990 or the 5690 combo for it. Do you think the 5690 is just too much?
@Diaszurana . If you go 5690 you will definitely have to gear up and run 8s all the time to get the potential of that motor. 4990 you can run 8s or 6s and gear appropriately to your likings 👊🏾💯
@LBizzyRC I figure as much, but with the torque of the 5690, I can gear it to the moon. My concern is that maybe the Big Rock is a bit to light for the 5690, and I may have trouble keeping the front tires on the ground. The 5687 Gen 1 combo I have in my XMAXx is almost too much for it lol.
I want POWER. I had the 20t in with the stock 2050kv motor, and it straight up drove like a Ken Block car on steroids. Then the motor melted. I got a new stock 2050 kv motor, but I fear I'm going to melt another motor. Would your setup support a 25 or 27t pinion? I don't play nice with the throttle, and I have supreme control so I tend to be more on throttle sideways doing huge drifts in the dirt and on asphalt. I need to know if I drop the 280 on this setup if it will help me with a 25 or 27t pinion. Your setup is real nice, but too slow for me.
@biggnasty989 . That 2050kv stock motor on 20t pinion was like help me help me I’m melting in my wizard of oz witch voice😂😂😂🤣 it might handle it with some fans, 22t pinion might be the largest I would run on the setup tho. Or go 1250kv and run 8s if you want more power👊🏾💯
@LBizzyRC Understood. I'll look for a lower KV motor and run the heavy dual fan on a separate 3s battery. Until then I'm going to go down to the included 16t pinion an look like a chump with my 65mph BigRock 6s. I'll keep you in the loop. Going to strategize with the AI to see what gear/motor combo gets me the thrill I'm looking for.
@@LBizzyRC I ended up burning up the 2050kv again. I'm on my 3rd motor, lol. If I burn up this one, I'm going to cave in and get a 1650 kv, but I need wheel speed to keep up with my gymkhana style of driving. I wiped out a set of Bigrock 6s tires in 3 weeks. I soldered in a 38k Ripple Killer cap pack to the stock esc, put in a high speed fan on the esc, still running 20t pinion, but I now took the motor timing down to one setting above 0 degrees. I installed two highspeed fans at the chassis inlets by the steering arms to pull in fresh air, a 40mm dual tornado high speed fan setup running on a separate 3s lipo for the motor (fkng tight fit, had to heat and bend the body supports front and back), and installed two 40mm high speed fans at the back to exhaust the hot air. The motor now only just gets to 140F/160F on hard runs, but quickly cools as I have so much airflow in the chassis. Now the problem is that I'm melting the solder at the battery EC5 connector. I want to have a super unique setup that Fkng screams, and it does. It scares people to see this thing doing over 70mph. The last step is to install the spare BEC i got to power the fans with 8.4v instead of the 7.4 from the ESC. If I go with the 1650kv, I'm going with a 24t pinion and hope I don't kill someone or cause property damage, lol.
@biggnasty989 . Yeah you definitely need a low kv motor and a higher amp rated esc and since now your plugs or melting use those speed run QS8 connectors there good for high amp draw. Never ran them but heard good things about them. IMO that 2050kv motor in the big rock is a joke to small for the weight of that scale. How you like to rip surprise your tires held up that long 😂😂and your Esc didn’t catch on 🔥but that’s what make the hobby fun bash repeat brake replace👊🏾💯
@Dankboi420 . Nice !!!! It has that low end power lot of settings in the esc to adjust too. I haven’t messed wit yet but you can fine tune to your liking if needed. Bash on bro 👊🏾💯
I like it . There’s a max6 g2 Bluetooth here for a k6s but the granite needs a rear diff replaced .
@Hungrybird474 . It’s a pretty good system lot of options to dial it in, might need to get 4s diffs for your granite if you keep blowing them👊🏾💯

Nice man, and the belted badlands look great on that rig. They look too big on my kraton exb but perfect on this rig!

LSD diff in only In the center, on the big rock and Kraton

@LBizzyRC It really does, though, 😆. Jokes aside though, my XMAXX with upgrades weighs 23 lbs. That's a lot heavier than the Big Rock.
Whats the significance of the aluminum servo mount??
@wendellgumby . That’s to keep the servo from flexing, even when you set your end points. There’s a slight chance of flex.👊🏾💯
best bash champ💪😎
