Great information. I am looking to upgrade the trigger on my Staccato P to a flat trigger. But this video is a few years old and there are some new vendors out there. Curious on your thoughts on the Red Dirt, Infinty Adjustable & Atlas triggers. I am leaning towards the Infinity because it has a serrated face while the others are smooth.
I know this is an older video, just came across it now,but doesn't adding trigger void warranty from staccato? I just picked up the C2. Trigger isn't bad but could be improved. I definitely prefer a flat face metal trigger.
I did it. And sorry I don't take in customer work. Dark Side Precision is doing a ton of 2011 grips that look great. Also check out Boresight Solutions.
Little late to the game on this, but any recommendations for a good 2011 Gunsmith nesr Staccato or Central Texas? Was the SVI Infinity trigger ever tried or used in the Staccato Gen II grip?
I am very interested in purchasing one. I wanted the black with tin barrel but if I have no chance of getting one I will take what I Can get. You mentioned yours will be going up for sale in the future. What are you looking to get for it? Cash in hand*
Hey Hilton, great video. Did you get your X line vario trigger from atlas? If so, contact them and they will replace it. They have a great customer service. I’ve personally had 3 vario triggers without any problems. I still have one in my STI 2011 4.0.
Yeah, he didn't exactly give the Vario trigger a fair chance if you ask me. I mean, "It galled"? Or he cross threaded it and Fu#&ed it up? I just put one in and had to take it on and off the post multiple times because I had to lap (sand on hard flat surface) the trigger to get it to fit right, which I actually like because it fits really nice now.
@@roberttaylor6030 and then makes this statement of not doing it yourself and taking it to a "trained 2011 Smith because you will likely screw it up". Sorta funny when that post had to take some serious ham fisting to twist off after the shoe bound up and he kept forcing it to failure.
You can do it with a fine saw and sand it smooth. Keep in mind that the installation of the trigger into the gun requires gunsmith fitting, and the physical cutting of the trigger is the easy part by a large margin.
Hey man I watched your video on glock pistol comps and noticed the afterburner at the end. I have been on the war website trying to add one to my cart and make the purchase but when you choose your color options before adding to the cart it says all options are unavailable for all generations 1 through 5.. how did you find your way around that??????????????
I really want metal triggers for my staccato 2011's but don't want to loose reliability considering these are my carry guns and bought these for their reliability. Any thoughts on reliability of changing triggers on carry guns?
@@108Performance so are you saying an aftermarket trigger is just as reliable as the factory trigger as long as its installed by an authorized 2011 gunsmith? I wouldn't attempt it becuse its a carry although I'm sure I could figure it out I want the high probability its going to work when I need it.
@@JohnSmith-ir5pv Yes. Also, it's not a "figure out" thing, there are a lot of variables and dimensions that have to be correct when fitting any fire control component. All of my 2011s have aftermarket triggers...which I fitted.
Because they preform really well with out breaking the bank, also if you have multiple guns that wear dots on the slide it gets expensive to put a 400+ red dot on all of them
"If its a workmanship issue from the factory they will stand behind it." Literally sent in my Stac P DUO or possible barrel fit issues after 750 rds and multiple malfunctions. Got told "someone" filed the lugs and area around the barrel link and feet... sent it right back. Not impressed so far with Staccato QA QC or CS.
@Dun Koff Yeah, I didn't do any of it. Literally had 750 documented rounds through it. Cleaned it twice, which was generally unnecessary considering it was generally kept lubricated.
Fantastic video Hilton.
I asked about your blue trigger on one of your other video but I got my answer from this one. Thanks
Great information as always.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Red dirt and Atlas are great. I have a red dirt in my C2. Super easy to adjust and very good quality.
I bought your flat 1911 trigger a few years ago and it dropped right in. Didn't require any fitting at all. Frame is a STI G.I. cast frame.
You guys should probably prioritize making a trigger for 2011.

it would be nice if the factory offered this option as a retrofit.

Great video. Thanks. Can you say who did your grips? Does 10-8 do grip stippling?
I did them and sorry no.

Just curious if you've tried any of the Bul Armory 2011s and if so, any thoughts?
Hilton, great job! Which red dot are you running? Looks like the Holosun? Thank you!

What method do you use to cut down the gunsmith blank? Thank you

How do you go by getting a staccato trigger blank?
A Google will yield multiple resellers

A properly fit trigger is no factor. If *you* want to put it in then DON’T as it’s a gunsmithing job not a RUclips Lego style swap.
