The minimum average hotel price for staying in this area will be around 2k per night for a couple. So alternatively you can stay in Greams Road area (near Apollo hospital) where you can get many budget hotels. Or the second option is to stay near Egmore. From Egmore the hospital is hardly at 2 km distance and plenty of buses and sharing vans are available from Egmore to Sankar Netralaya. (And Egmore area hotels are already mentioned in the hotel related video of my Chennai tour series playlist. So request you to check that). So hope this idea will help you. Cordelia cruise bording k liye bhi aap Chennai central area me hi apna stay le sakte hai. Central area se Cordelia ka boarding gate sirf 3 se 4km ki duri par hi hai. Aur Chennai Central k wall tax road par sabhi hotels k detail iss vide me maine bataya hai. Thank you 😊👍🏼
Har area me ek do to mil hi jayega... Just search for Homestay options in whichever area you want. And then you will get all options with the kitchen and other facilities like an apartment or PG. Thank you 😊👍🏼
If you are a solo male traveller, then hostels are always a best and budget option. But if you need a bit of comfort and a private space at a bit of extra cost, then you can always go for a hotel stay.. Both are good options but ultimately the choice is YOURS 😊👍🏼

Till 11th November 2024 no visa required. So not much checking.
But after that they will check while giving you "on arrival visa".

In such case you have to search for a homestay (not a hotel)..
Because in my opinion no hotel will have a kitchen attached to it.
