You don't see immediate drastic changes from people in command cause the way they make changes is through policies which takes a lot of time and discussion. @RedSteel10 depends on how you fall into the water, you chance of survival is better than on payment. Probably most of them still alive when they went into the water and can't swim and drown. Many ppl can not swim and will drown in a 3ft pool lmao. My advice is learn to swim. Never know when you may need it.
@johnrambo1349 You're not very bright on this subject. This isn't about swimming. It's about being conscious enough AFTER hitting the water at 150mph. The human body isn't designed for that. Also, even if people survived the impact and were conscious, that doesn't mean they had the ability to get out the sinking airliner. The emergecy doors and automatic air slide ramps have to be manually triggered and released from the inside. Also in pitch black water, theres no lights for you to see anything from the plane. There's also no telling how deep the fuselage was under the freezing water meaning someone would have to tread water, find a hole to swim out of while holder their breath an extremely long time AFTER being panicked. Yea maybe Michael Phelps wouldn't have made it out of this if he was right next to the hole.
