As Faith ( if it was her) was given to Claire to hold some time after birth, they (nuns or whoever) quite possibly could have exchanged her real baby to some other stillborn baby. And when she woke up and started to ask for baby, they gave her some different baby (dead one) to hold. As per song, there where people there around when Claire sang to baby and maybe those people later sang that song to Faith for whatever reason ( maybe even feeling quilt for taking her away from mother and so that she has at least a song from her real mother) But I guess we all have to wait till 8 season now. I’m dying from curiosity though :)

I forget the season but I thought Jamie and Claire dying in a house fire wasn't already resolved issue. It it was an erroneous report based on the fire that destroyed their house on Fraser's Ridge. No?
They do not die in a fire because they explained this season that the man who was awful to Claire but loved her was surprised to see her alive because he thought they had died when he heard their house burnt down. He placed the obit in the newspaper not knowing they survived. Not to mention I hardly think that if they return to the Ridge and build a new house it too will burn to the ground killing them.

I have a theory of how Frances knew Faith's song. Faith grew up and found out she was adopted . Wanting to find her mother,she traveled through the stones and watched her birth.
Season 7 was filmed as the final season but then Stars renewed it for an 8th and final season, so the writers had to rewrite the season ending. That’s also why Season 7 was in 2 parts.

Not so. I don't believe the ending. I think they just did that to keep everybody hanging on so theywill came back for Season 8. I did not like the way they ended it at all. That is not even the way it is in the book. I know They deviate a lot of the other stories but they shouldn't have touched that one. I would watch season 8.No matter what but I think that's a very cruel way to keep people hanging on. 😢

Very different to the books. Twists in the series that have no basis in the book’s. Much prefer the books. You have to separate the series and the books, try not to mix the two up. Too many characters are not in the series or their storyline has been drastically altered. All those characters helped enrich the books, the lack of them in the series has diminished the story. Re Jane, in the books Lord John helped get Janes body for Frances, then he arranged for a burial in a plot at someone’s property that he knew. So Frances knows where Jane is buried. Script writers have altered things to sensationalise the series plot.

I think in season 8 Jamie could still get hunted down and arrested for abandoning the war. I really tripped out when I figured that William and Jane are related and had sex🤔 I think William’s Dad that raised him will be in season 8 to continue the story of William, and I’m dying to know what happened to Jane and Frances mother since Jane said she had been in the brothel since she was 10 and Frances looks much younger than Jane, so that really throws me off, I had first thought maybe Faith was a whore and died giving birth to Frances but then it wouldn’t make sense that Frances remembers a song her mother sang🤔 So I’m dying of curiosity about that story! The books have multiple characters and complex storyline. Thus us a TV show. They have limited time and they must trim the storylines. Folks have complai ed that the show isn't the same as the books for the entire run of the series.. I find these complaints more than annoying. The show has been true the spirit of the books. Diane has dragged out publishing the last book. No mistake that the last book would come out after the series ended. It is on her that the series has gone in a different path. Diane is very much in control of the situation. Stop whining .

How in God’s name did that baby live? It was days later that she held that baby and she was so cyanotic. Did the nuns and the healer switch the baby? Impossible that the baby she held was hers and not believable that it lived if it was, so for me this is a terrible plot twist. Yes John Grey warranted a more grandiose goodbye. It was as if it was a half thought of, “see ya” kind of goodbye. I was also a little disappointed in William’s reaction to Jamie sharing the memories of William’s mother. Lastly the Brianna showing up was a blah moment. It’s clear that they are not up to creating anything past season 8. And really….. they finished filming at the end of 2024 and yet they make us wait till so much later on in 2025. Let’s just rip off the bandaid and get it over with.
