It really is quite impressive. I knew there was an accompanying book along with the 2LP, but I didn't realize the records themselves also came in a gatefold "book" jacket. I only regret not having bought the 7" version when I had the opportunity. One of my favorite albums of the 2010s.
The hbo booklet is crazy
It really is. The entire presentation is just soo good, the step up from the small softcover booklet with the "Entry Level Investor" single 7" to the hard bound 12" book with the 2LP to the fact that the records themselves aren't just housed in a cardboard gatefold 2LP jacket but also a hardbound book-like gatefold jacket makes it just that much nicer to behold.
Dope! Worthy (and rare) additions to anyone’s vinyl collection. Balons Cho not come in shrink wrap? I keep mine unopened but looks like it comes unwrapped?
Correct, it does indeed come shrink-less but makes sense considering it does come in it's own resealable soft plastic sleeve. This is common practice with other labels like Good Felons and Near Mint.
I prefer them for some things, but they can be an inconvenience in other ways, so up to personal preference really.
