I definitely focus too much on the small details. Focusing on the big concepts and objectives has made studying much more efficient. Thank Araceli for that tip.
Man, 4hrs study on work days and 12-15 on weekends… I’ve been completing a cert IV to get me a start in mature age study pathway for accounting and returned to FT work halfway through the course. I typically have done max of 2 hours max after work and 4-8 on weekends depending my other to dos. I can’t imagine doing 4/12-15!
Hi Gwanamay, thank you for your question. Araceli used Becker for the CPA exam. Becker has the study plan based on how long you plan to study for the exam. Becker also has the final review that Araceli used for her exam.
Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard, if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan
Hi Anthony. Good question. Accounting career is stable no matter what. How much is considered “a good paying” to you? And what’s the living expense in your area? These criteria will define if CPA is worth it or not.
$60-80K for non-manager positions in a lower cost of living area comparing with San Jose. It sounds like it’s quite higher than the average. If I were you, I would work in public accounting for a few years to obtain the experience. And then you can stay in public or move to private accounting as senior positions without having a CPA license. By doing that, you could get to the salary you want without being a manager. If you just stay in private without CPA license, you still can get the salary you want but it will take A LOT longer to get there.
In this video, Araceli Cruz, an assurance associate at EY, shares her experience how she passed the CPA exam while working full time at EY.
Yes you're correct but remember heaven helps those who help themselves, try studying if you can't study then get yourself a good help
I studied for months and couldn't pass, I guess passing is a blessing
CPA exam might seem so tough to pass but studying very hard is a very vital skill to win trust me.
@correct, everyone has a different fate.
I’m studying with him and I subscribed for the questions and answers which I got after 30mins of payment

What was your study plan? Which review course did you use? How did you do the final review? Thank you in advance.

Is a cpa worth it if I don’t want to become a manager? I’m not interested in the test and just want a stable good paying career

Hey thanks for relying, well a good salary for me is 60- maybe 80k and I’m planning on moving to a lower cost of living area since I’m in San Jose

My pleasure :) Let me know if you have any other questions ^.^
Hi,
Is learning SAP fico is useful for cpa?
Working experience in sap fico is counted for licence??
Hi! It doesn’t matter where you work. It matters who is your direct supervisor/manager. It’s required to work under active US CPAs.
