Is there a way I can get specific help? I’ve failed the math exam 4 times. I don’t understand what I’m watching or listening to. I passed the other 3 subjects last year. Literally failed 12 practice math tests and 4 math exams to achieve GED. This stuff makes no sense to me
Literally I feel the sane way when I first started out I was passing everything and every other subject without studying now I’m on math and I’ve fail 3 GED readys and 2 real test I’ve also passed 3 ged readys my most recent one being a 162 so I should pass the real test I take it today so hopefully I come back with good news
Example of quick math for the 18b question 15×10=150 then divide by the percent shifted over by one decimal so 0.3 turns into 3.0. 150÷3 = 50. This works no matter what. Even if it asks for say 35 percent which is .35. If 35% of what number is 15. You do 15×10= 150 then 150÷3.5 = X.
I know my problem is an ugly decimal number, but this allows you to scale a question like this to your calculator easily with few steps. ( I am using this video to help me get ready for the test btw)
This may not help you. I was a math wiz and this is how I made stuff like this easier on myself. Simplify to the highest degree possible without taking the question too far off course.
Another faster math example for question 27. 15 miles divided 6 miles multiplied by 3 hours. (15÷6)×3. This will also always work. And make it easy to put this into a calculator.
For question 41. Your fast math is a little awkward, but it'll work if you remember it correctly. You can skip several steps by just making the 2 to the -3rd power into just 2 to the 3rd power. And remembering to switch multiplication with division. In practice your very straightforward equation looks like this 16÷(2×2×2)=x next step is 16÷8=x where x is 2. The hard part about turning this equation into a working quick math is that you must flip the equation in your head and then mirror it so that the multiplication turns to division and the denominator become the numerator. Lemme know of this doesn't make sense.
Im currently in school to get my GED its been over 15+yrs, im soo nervous 💗 I try to watch every video i can out there,, when I see things like find the slope of a line or what os (x,y) like huh 😂just pray for my brain 🧠😢

FREAK! I passed a 5 year state test that was soooo stressful. Can I pass the GED when it’s stuff I do NOT use on my daily life! 😳 encouragement needed!??? ❤
I’m having the hardest time passing. For the ppl like me that’s struggling, I gave up last year when I didn’t pass. I’m back now trying because I want to do this for my daughter and I. This video doesn’t really help me because of the fast pace. No excuses we gotta keep pushing keep searching for the channel that’s helpful for you. And please send me recommendations if you have them. Thank you.❤
If you watch our video on solving equations or order of operations it will be clearer. The mistake you are most likely making is 360 ÷ 6000 x 0.03. The actual thing that is happening is 360 ÷ 6000 ÷ 0.03. You can also see it as 360 ÷ (6000 x 0.03)
There's not much difference. Most questions are multiple choice, but there are other forms. fill in the blanks, matching and more. There is no question that require you showing your process of getting results
@@UltimateAlgebra thank you. I feel like I can get to the answers but not always breaking the questions down using the formulas. I’ve done quite a bit of construction work so I can understand a lot but it’s been so long since I’ve taken math, I actually feel lost when I look at a few of the formulas.
at 8:35 you say the formula is 360 divided by 6000 x 0.03 is right but i come up with 18 not "t = 2" so the actual formula is 6000 x 0.03 =180 x 2 = 360. or can someone explain this to me?
You have to apply the order of operations. if you do it on your calculator, you have to do 360 ÷ (6000 x 0.03). The parenthesis is important. This is to ensure that the 360 is divided by both the 6000 and the 0.03. Please watch our video on order of operations and equations for better understanding. You can also look at it as 360 ÷ 6000 ÷ 0.03
i take the math segment of the GED on may 4th... i passed the other 3 without studying, but math is the most difficult so i'm watching this to study. really hoping i pass
@@yamis8468 hiii! it actually went really well and i passed with a score of 175. i barely attended high school so my knowledge on math wasn’t the strongest, but watching this video and a couple others really helped me. i understand why you’re nervous because i was too, but try not to be too much-if you even just watch a couple videos, it will help prepare you and i’m sure you will pass too :-)! good luck!
Yes, you are doing something wrong. you are doing 360 ÷ 6000 x 0.03. This will give 0.0018. Which is wrong. If you can I'll encourage you to get our course or watch our free videos on ORDER OF OPERATIONS. What you are supposed to do is multiply 6000 by 0.03 first to get to get 180. then divide 360 ÷ 180. This will give you 2.
When u take the GED exam do they provide you with a calculator? Also how do I even get started? I'm such a slow person I don't know how to schedule an exam or where to go
Hey everyone 👋 Please read on what I’m going to say and also my rant here 😅. I have finished 4 subjects I’m only down to my math state final test. I have already failed it twice 😢 I’m down to my last chance to hopefully passing it even though I have studied very hard in class I also read the math text book I’m also learning on RUclips from Tutors teaching the Ged math test as I possibly can and still there’s this weird thing going on… how is it that I’m doing all this just so that the state final test gives me questions that I never studied for or ever seen in my life? I don’t get it? Like literally hard (never seen before) questions show up and I’m just there super confused staring at the screen not knowing what or how to answer such questions? Are they expecting me to know everything? Testing me how much I know? I feel like I have been cheated here by the Ai system. If what I have studied actually showed up in the state final? I would have easily passed it on the first try period. I don’t know what to do at this point to be honest. Has anyone been thru this before? Is the paper math state test much easier? I need answers everyone 😒
On the number 23. Question. x^2 plus x =30 is not right. Because the 2 consecutive numbers with a product of 30 is 5 and 6 and if i put in 5^2 which is 25 plus 6 equals 31 therefor it is not 30. But how come it looked like 30 there? I'm confused.
You don't need to know everything before you pass. People who passed did not learn everything. Instead, understand the concepts of a few things you learned. That's. The problem is that many people don't know how to study Math. The reason that looks hard. Think about it.

Im taking my last GED test next week, which is Maths lol. I passed the others 3 subjects without much work, Maths its really scary hopefully i pass the exam and i get my diploma. We will see.
Okay question 9 - if you picked the 2 points going three steps up rather than 2 steps, it totally changes the answer. So everyone will have a different answer depending on how many steps they decide to make the two points - as you said any two points
I said, any two points on the line. If you change your points, then both values will change so if the first was 4/2. Your second might be 6/3. Both these values will give 1/2. If you change you points it’s not only your up movement that will change. Your left/right movement will also change to make your effective value the same
I always tell learners to "PRACTICE AND BE PATIENT". I explain Math questions in detail, step by step by focusing on the tricky parts people can see in the Test. Feel free to visit my channel to understand what I mean. My advice to learners is to practice and make sure they are ready before they take the Test. The secret is that, the first try of the test is almost simple or easy. If you do not PASS, you are in a trouble. They will increase the level of the Test for people taking it for the second time and so on.
Where did you get 10 to the power of 2? I’m confused like I always have been.. I dropped out of high school because I couldn’t pass algebra and geometry, but I really want to be a nurse and getting my GED is the first step. Hello
Is this video the only thing you relied on?
I have my math exam for may 11th. I took the test 3 times previously, and failed. I just discovered this video and it increases my confidence further while explaining each question in a way I can understand easier. I'm more confident on passing the 4th time now and this will be my last test until I get my GED 💜

Please update us
I hope you pass your test

Ugh y’all I didn’t pass this time around but it’s okay I still have this summer to retake it. I experienced a lot of test anxiety which is the reason I couldn’t do well as I wanted. I know that I could’ve totally passed if I didn’t freak out during the exam. I’ll try my best to check into the comment thread for another update in a few months! Good luck y’all! 🫶🫶🫶

The simple equation is (15×10)÷3.
6:00 I’m a little confused on this question why move the decimal to the left? What do you mean it’s first non zero number? 🤷🏽♂️
I’ve learned more about math from this video than I did from my own teachers😂
Those math questions seem WAY too easy. I don’t believe the test is going to look anything like this video.
This is a great video.

For Question 6… how’d you get 2 ? I put it in the calculator like you said and got 0.0018..

Really appreciate your teaching. Thank you!
Just started watching your videos and I loved it. Thanks for your good work I

Can anyone tell me if the math is multiple choice? I’m in Canada…..not sure if it’s different here or in the USA.
Thanks!
Amen in Jesus name I’m passing Math
I passed today!! THANK YOU!
Congratulations!! Happy to hear that. thanks for sharing.
at 8:35 you say the formula is 360 divided by 6000 x 0.03 is right but i come up with 18 not "t = 2" so the actual formula is 6000 x 0.03 =180 x 2 = 360. or can someone explain this to me?
You have to apply the order of operations. if you do it on your calculator, you have to do 360 ÷ (6000 x 0.03). The parenthesis is important. This is to ensure that the 360 is divided by both the 6000 and the 0.03. Please watch our video on order of operations and equations for better understanding. You can also look at it as 360 ÷ 6000 ÷ 0.03

This is amazingly helpful! Where were you guys 20 years ago? 😊
How did you get 2? for Q.6? It showed up 0.0018 for me? Unless i’m doing something wrong

Is there a tutorial on how to type in equations into a calculator?

I'm glad these videos help people and they're passing their GEDs but if this is all the math it takes to pass a GED, we're in trouble as a nation.
You don't need to know everything before you pass. People who passed did not learn everything. Instead, understand the concepts of a few things you learned. That's. The problem is that many people don't know how to study Math. The reason that looks hard. Think about it.

I really like this study guide, but I won't have a calculator and I have no idea how they solve some of the problems. It's very confusing for me.
