    Showing love from Flint, I knew that was that Flint blood, u got that flick of the wrist, with that flat iron, I've learned so much from you over the past two days, I had to go back to my old days with my body curls, and I'm natural at the same time too. I'm starting a heat trained journey, not to loosen my pattern but to bounce back and forth. I got a lil regimen in my head watching you and Sisterwithrealhair, y'all are my flat iron queens.😘

    Wow, interesting how you mentioned JCP, because I think I will give them a shot. The only concern is that their service list says press and curl do you know if they mean straightening comb vs a flat iron? TFS

    What do you use in your hair to maintain moisture?

  • @tamikiasivels8536
    @tamikiasivels8536 8 лет назад +5

    I got my hair straighten but it is so flat. The only time I get a little bit of body is when I roll my hair with hard rollers, but by the end of the day, my curls are just about gone. How do I get my hair to have bounce like yours? Oh, and my hair is thin, so is it even possible?

    • @saraht6558
      @saraht6558 8 лет назад +1

      Go for a roll and wrap instead. I get a relaxer and what I usually have my stylist do is do a full set of rollers and then after it has dried she takes the rollers out and dry wraps it and puts me back under the dryer (sort of like a silk wrap). It leaves my hair with just enough volume but not too much cause I like my hair a little straighter but not limp.

    how can you achieve this look by wrapping your hair?

    • @TheTierraJ
      @TheTierraJ  8 лет назад

      Well a wrap won't give you those curls because a wrap straightens the hair out more. But if your hair is curled and you wrap it you can get some nice body

      thanks for the response...quick question how do you get the natural chicks hair shiny and bouncy (naturals without color)...I can not achieve this look...I have before but that was many moons ago. Also, I cut the "heat damage" out of my hair only to be reduced with a mullet...I do NOT want to big chop again (I chuckled when you said that) I have been natural since 1998 or early 2000 can't remember ..I am not use to all these new methods I feel my hair has gotten WORSE...but I have rocked the Florida Evans far too many times for my liking... any suggestions since you are licensed? (btw your son is adorable) and thanks!

    What to do about frizzy ends without heat

    • @isabelrahman5949
      @isabelrahman5949 3 года назад

      You should use a frizzy-free shampoo & conditioner to control the frizz. Then your pin-curls should set beatjfully.

    What is your advice for those that sweat a lot?

    • @TheTierraJ
      @TheTierraJ  8 лет назад +14

      My advice would be to wear straightened hair in cooler weather and protective, natural and no heat styles in warmer weather.

    how do you know when you hair is heat damaged?

    • @kiarawickliffe
      @kiarawickliffe 8 лет назад +2

      +Joanna Lorraine It is heat damaged when it does not go back to its natural state after washing. in so many words if its curly at the roots(new growth) and straighter as it goes down the hair strand it is damaged.

    • @jo_ann4954

      @@kiarawickliffe my hair is straight at the roots then gets curly so it’s the opposite but for me heat damage made my hair break off it was chin length but now it’s long and healthy
