If I recall, I don't know if Ben and Hines fully resolved their tension. Idk if you remember but there were times where Ben (maybe without realizing) kind of insulted Ward back in the day when he used to say on his radio show that he wanted a bigger taller receiver. Ward took it harshly and I don't know if they been close since Ward retired. I could be wrong.
As for Troy, he is 100% focused on his family and doesn't want a whole lot to do with football anymore. I think it's a spiritual thing.

My 83 year old mom is a life long Steeler fan, but sadly, she now has Alzheimer’s, and no longer understands the game. We still watch, of course, and now all she can say while watching the game is, “Where’s Ben?” It doesn’t matter how many times we say you retired, 5 minutes later she asks, “Where’s Ben?”
We’re from WV and we made so many trips to come and watch your games at Heinz Field, and you were her favorite player. We have videos where she used to take her “Big Ben” terrible towel and brush the TV screen with it to “push” you all into the end zone. 🤣 You probably don’t read these comments, but if you do, please know that your playing really touched a lot of lives, and you are important to so many people. Also know my mom will still be looking for you every game. 🖤💛

Ben, I am so thrilled that I found these podcasts. I am a 54 year old Vet, a former high school Linebacker and a Steeler fan since birth. Fifty Four Seasons. Ben I thank you so much for all the years where you took a beating just so guys like me could stand in my living room screaming “That’s right Baby! That Football in the burg!” I am a native Kentucky boy. We both love football, hunting, fishing, and Coors Banquet Beer! I can say celebrities have never caused me to geek out, but you my friend are just the absolute bomb.
Oh and we both think Pickett is the future. That kid has such a calmness in the pocket and out. Oh and get this one of my Jr. Pro kids. I was his first coach and he’s an Oregon Linebacker now that’s just amazing to me. Again Ben thank you for being you and your Christian beliefs. Another thing in common. Merry Christmas to your family and we Love you in in my house.

I have to say that I love that Ben is financially comfortable or wealthy but yet he still goes out with the old school handsaw and picks and cuts down a Christmas tree and decorates the house/property with lights and decorations himself rather than paying a decorating company to do it all for him. Believe it or not, but that really goes a long way in a child's life because they will always have those memories. I still remember going out as a family to the tree farm and the excitement of picking the perfect tree and the memories of seeing my kids faces after I spent all day decorating the house then finally turning them on the first night ala Clark Griswold.

Every episode keeps getting better! I've been watching these games with my 6 year old boys and they're just getting into football now... It's funny how when I was young the Steelers were going through a transition phase and my dad would show me old VHS tapes of the glory days... Now I pull up old youtube highlights of Roethlisberger, Ward, Polamalu, AB, etc and show them the "glory days" that I'm more familiar with! Funny how things work.

"Now there's a real fan" you were at foxwoods in Connecticut for autograph signings and my dad was the only person there with your jersey on. He still has the picture and hat you signed for him. What a bummer that the beer cam wasn't available for the Lime Rickey Bobby that we sent. (Jason and Brandi) BUT what was really cool? We went to the Bengals game after you guys and Pomp tried our beer, and MET Pomp on the bridge heading over to Mike's Beer Bar before the game. He remembered the beer, so that was sweet. Sorry for being SO late on our EXTREME thanks for trying/sharing our beers. Would be curious what you thought of the Double F-Bomb, and the Tiki Tom's. Loving this show, guys!
