Pretty luke warm response. 3 minutes no problem but not very energetic after arrival, not to mention the anemic garden hose like stream from the reel.....
They did fine. There just wasn't any urgency on this one: 1) The car was well and truly totaled long before they got there. 2) No exposure (nothing else near it that could catch fire) 3) Anyone inside it was long dead or had escaped long ago, and there was no injured nearby. So it wasn't necessary to throw tons of water around. They weren't exactly roasting marshmallows, they were doing their jobs.
Archibald Mirenopteryx agreed. Literally every ff video the department gets dumped on by armchair firefighters. Even the retired ones who criticized probably were criticized themselves.
Looking at the Springfield Mass FD web site I would have expected better. Firefighter was packed but not masked and the Officer wasn't even packed. I would have probably stayed back with what little water was coming out of that nozzle too. Wish we could have seen how long it took to put that out.
The back glass opened on its own because the car was on fire. Maybe the passengers exited the SUV in a panic? According to another poster, it was her aunt's SUV and there was gasoline in the back. It was also about 90°F that day, so it definitely could have been an accident.

so is it me or is the person with the camera looking at everything but the dam car on fire? Every time something pops or explodes just a little we are looking at a smoke cloud or the ground.
90 seconds or so to get water going....should be ashamed of your self...in the uk we can get a hose reel going in 15 seconds...we would not take 90 sec to get 75mm main hose line hose working...
+mysynthesis As a ex volunteer I agree with you. Once there is flame you might as well call it totaled. With a good response time you are looking at minimum of 3 to 5 minutes and if you live in a volunteer district add time to that. That is life. Probably should used air packs just to be safe but I never liked them even though they are a life saver.
+pipesmoker True if it was a vollenteer station it would have taken longer if it was a vollenteer that took the call thats the best repsonstime you can get. No rush to put it out just a rush just to get people out safly out of they way. People are too sdared to get close because they think its a moive with explosion. I was a vollenteer too. Its hard work with hevey gear.
Very lackluster attitude with these firefighters. Not much in the way of waterpressure. Gezz, my garden hose can spit out a stronger stream of water. Anybody can tell these are a couple of rookie firefighters for sure. Very poor perfomance. UGH!
The fire is the BEST PART of the vid, fool. It is all too typical of the fire departments to be nice and slow to arrive. I probably could have put that fire out faster with a GARDEN HOSE!!! It's just ridiculous.
I liked how the rear window suddenly opened on its own🙀🙀!!
Pretty luke warm response. 3 minutes no problem but not very energetic after arrival, not to mention the anemic garden hose like stream from the reel.....
It is blacked out to watch but if I fast forward it I can see it why is that
1:50 I was laughing my head off when the trunk window opened by itself 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Six years and it's still burning. What a fire.
It's gonna just plum explode in 2025 on the tenth-year anniversary!
Sixyearsandit'sstilldurning.Whataflre.
Damn that line had a serious prostate problem
WHY ARE THEY SO FAR AWAY, ATTACK THE FIRE HOLY
did you see the ghost open the back window???
The window poped open because of the intense heat
Sorry that Fire Departments response and enthusiasm was piss weak...
What were you expecting, a song and dance?
@@RP-gi4ch song and dance would have been more effective strategy than what these clowns provided.....next

what caused the fire maybe the car seat caught fire
By the time we get on scene we have the hose off the front of the truck and charged less then 20 secs and have the fire half way put less then 5 mins
In this day and age the lack of SCBA use is .... I am without words..
my head wants to explode. lack of aggression and PPE. mask up and attack the fire!!!!!! Jesus.
It's Springfield... lol
The Cracken Yeah they were using that hose like it was covered for the guys house like you use it to water the garden. No PPE amazing
The vehicles are complete losses already and no other structure exposures so no hurry

+centexF150 I would have loved to, but I was working and had to get back in!
Why were all the doors, and back glass open? I think it was set.

A total loss--probably even before the fire department was called.
Must be the new Jeep Dura flame.

HOW DID THE CAR GET ON FIRE ??
A typical day in the neighborhood.
Don't believe I've ever seen such a pathetic response by fire "fighters." This one takes the cake. Maybe they just woke up from a nap.
Is there anybody in the car even
are they serious ?
Now it’s coming on the video normal now that is weird
What are looking at out the window honey? Oh nothing much just our car is on fire
I like to see much damage can be done to a vehicle, if the fire can keep on burning. Also, please bring a long stick, when you bring the marshmallows.
Really? Air pack on your shoulders but not be on air?
so is it me or is the person with the camera looking at everything but the dam car on fire? Every time something pops or explodes just a little we are looking at a smoke cloud or the ground.
Nice video!
Sounds like ammo going off.
Take your time guys
They may as well just let it burn on down. It is about 90% gutted.
i hope there wasn't any people in the car😮

Nobody cares. Go watch videos from the UK if you hate this so much.
In US, usually the firefighters arrived on the site when it is 90% burnt

If this is Homer Simpson's new car, im not amused
I would have liked to have seen more firefighting in that vid instead of just the blaze...wasted my time!!
Lo único que no se quemó fue la llanta de refacción..
_Glass just broke the pieces when it fell in the back_ *XD*
The Jeep the Jeep is on fire ,we don’t need no water let the ............?
Temporarily closed
New tires and paint….and then right on Craigslist!
Well that jeep wont pass emissions...
The girl....what did you do with the girl??? A wave of the finger at 5:28 and she's gone.
😅
