Man I love their honesty and how hardcore they're going when they tell people how bad it is in the creative industry I mean you see Marvel and your see DC and I love those characters and the stories but those things don't come from the publication they come from a writer and an artist and an anchor and a colorist all these people coming together to make these books for you and for them to create and have their Creations essentially stolen or have people get money out of your own creations is completely disrespectful and taking advantage they've been doing this for years that's why I Stan lee is no longer with marvel he has some contracts with them but he literally had to fight with the company over ownership of his characters in which a lot of his ownership has been taken away from him not only that many other people before him like the family who owned Superman there were two families who created Superman and they went into a legal custody battle over the rights and DC had one the rights of Superman so in essence these companies think it's ethically and morally correct to take away your intellectual property not only that but completely revamp what you made when it comes two artist owning their own stuff I will only go to Image Comics and Trust Todd McFarlane that guy is tried-and-true I don't only love that guy because of Spawn but I love them because he's in no b******* kind of guy and that's what we need in this art industry
Todd's right, if Hollywood options some of the other non DC/marvel comics there's some good stuff out there.....Aphridite IX would make at least a good trilogy or a good TV series, Dawn and Lady Death would make good movies, The Darkness......Gen 13 or even X-O Manowar would all make good shows or movies.....i do hope the Judge Dredd series ends up being good cus damn, so much potential and i'm hopeful for the new Spawn, going R rated and horror could be good....
I stopped reading Spawn a little after issue 100 when Al Simmons wasn't Spawn anymore. 1997 growing up Spawn was always my favorite comic book character. Shoulda tried longer 'cause Spawn just had to have gotten better! #SpawnIsImmortal
I’m not in the industry yet, but god dammit...I’m going to be the bottle of lightning. If I don’t here from Image after I send my package...I’m going to continue to send it every single month until they hate me! I DO NOT CARE! Take my name down. Stefan J.D. Mark it a year or two from now. Mark it.
Jesus these guys want every creator to be at image and want no new dc and marvel stories? Idk its weard, some creators love doing a big charactermonthly, they seem sort of outta touch, i like the guys that do both marvel/DC and creatorowned
Obviously you didn't listen what "these guys" are saying! They never said that every comicbook artist/writer should be at Image Comics, but literally it's the best option for a new talent. Oh and where exactly is the part that they're expressing their desire for no new DC and Marvel stories? Calling Todd McFarlane and Robert Kirkman "these guys" and saying that they are "outta touch" only shows how much you know about comics outside of DC and Marvel...sad!
Todd McFarlane; Here's a guy that should have never even gotten into the comics industry. By his own companies submission guidelines, he would have never EVER have even been considered. He forced his way into the biz, and instead of paying his dues he almost immediately started pissing off his boss. He doesn't deserve the success he's had. If you go back and actually read Spider-Man 1 1990, and his other spidey tales, you'll see that his stories were not good. His art was interesting, not great but it was different, but his story telling was hardly decent.
That's how business works. He's a businessman/ Artist. Every successful person has forced their way into the world one way or another. If you're a nice "Yes Man" or follow the herd mentality you're only ever going to be considered an employee. Without Spawn, we'd be stuck with PG-13 monotony.
they're no 3, image, and to accept that was, they are awesome. Image is #1
I could listen to Todd all day!

It's taken a year to answer this and all I can say is I don't know. I haven't gotten that far into the video yet.

Well it certainly won't be your writing that gets you in.
You're going to do to Image what Todd Mcfarlane did to marvel and DC
Toad McFarlene
Kirkman is a pompous thief. Nothing but respect for Todd though.
What??
